She finally got out of bed as she was no longer feeling pain; in fact, the whole aching had gone, and she was ready to get up on her feet because she had a lot of things to do. Now that both her parents are gone, she'll have a lot on her plate. First, she had to bury her parents, be strong for them, claim her father's company, CHARIOTS GADJETS, and she was going to find the bastards who did this to them. She was going to make them pay for everything they made her and her parents go through. Oh, that person was going to suffer hell on earth.
She had already taken her shower and changed into a pair of clothes that was left for her on the couch in the hospital room. She fixed her hair and styled it in a proper bun. The cloth left for her was a black jumpsuit. After she was done dressing, she sat down and waited for that doctor. After like 30 minutes, she heard a knock on the door, and she immediately got up and went to answer it. The doctor from earlier and a police officer walked in, and she wasn't surprised to see the policeman.
"Good day Miss Donovan," the policeman greeted, and she nodded. Doctor Bryan closed the door immediately he got in. "Officer, I would like to proceed with the burial of my parents, and after that, my family lawyer and I will also proceed with the will hearing at my dad's company so I can take over as I am of age," she said as she sat down, crossing her legs.
"Yes, Miss Donovan, all that is going to be processed as soon as possible, but there is something I need you to know first, as that is why I am here," the police officer said.
"If it's about the investigation of my parents' death, I am fully ready to partake in that as I will fully cooperate, but I still need some time to myself as I am still recovering from the shock. When I am fully ready, I will contact you to let you know," she said calmly. Her face was void of any expressions, and the huge bags under her eyes were very visible.
"Of course, madam. I understand, but that is not quite what I hoped to discuss with you," the officer said again, this time sitting down as he had been standing since he came. He looked at Doctor Bryan before looking back at Ria.
"And that is?" she asked, paying the officer more attention.
"It's about your parents, miss."
"What about my parents? Please get straight to the point, officer," she said, raising her voice this time as her calm demeanor had been totally lost.
"I'm sorry, but your parents have already been buried," the officer said as he bent his head.
"WHAT!!!!, who gave you the audacity," she stood up, yelling as she approached the officer raging, but she got stopped as Doctor Bryan was firmly holding on to her so she wouldn't escape.
"LET GO, LET GO OF ME NOW, HOW DARE YOU!!!" she screamed.
"Please understand it wasn't me, miss. It was the deputy CEO of your Dad's company that ordered for your parents to be buried. The police have nothing to do with this. I'm very sorry, miss," the police said as he was sincerely sorry for the young girl cause she had to go through a lot already he felt bad for her.
"It's okay, officer, you can go," Doctor Bryan said as he gave the officer an assuring nod that Ria was gonna be fine. The officer nodded his head in apology and then left the room.
"Noo, Noo, why is this happening," she said almost inaudibly as she had been shouting for too long. Tears continued to stream down her cheeks, as her whole face was now colored bright red. She slumped to the ground, and Doctor Bryan followed as he was still holding her tightly, as her breath became ragged, and the only thing that could be heard in the room was her sobbing. He kept caressing her back while she sobbed in his arms.
"I'll show them, I'll show them all," she said in a very low tone as she drifted off to sleep. She woke up very late as usual, this time in her room back at home.
"Vincent, that bastard," what she needed now was answers, and he was going to give that to her. She got up from bed, had her shower, as she got ready to pay that bald-headed gold digger a visit. She wore a black jumpsuit and black stiletto heels. She was going to meet Anita there as well, and she would never, ever give her the chance to look down her and see her as weak no matter her situation. Anita was Vincent's daughter and the same age as Ria. Ria had never liked Anita, not even once. Anita was always trying to compare herself with Ria as she always wanted everything Ria had. She even tried getting close to her, but Ria never allowed that because she saw right through her disguise, and Ria's rejection made Anita become Ria's rival. She took her car keys and drove off to Vincent's house. Immediately the gatekeeper saw it was Ria, he opened the gate because apart from the hostility between Ria and Anita, Vincent was the deputy CEO of CHARIOTS inc., which was owned by her father so there was a bit familiarity between both their families even if she knew that Vincent was always up to no good. He only pretended in front of her father, but she saw through his pretense just like his daughter they were both power-drunk delusional bastards. She drove into the compound at full speed and parked directly in front of their entrance door. She got out of the car and stormed into the mansion.
"VINCEEEEEEEENT!!!!!" she screamed as she barged in causing the servants who were presently cleaning to stop and look at her.
"COME OUT HERE YOU BASTARD," she yelled again causing all the servants to scurry out of the living room as they were scared.
"What the hell do you think you are doing," Anita asked annoyed as she looked down at Ria from upstairs.
"Why are you in my house, and why are you yelling?" she asked irritated by Ria's action as she glared at her hatefully. Oh, how she hated that girl.
"Where is that bastard you call a father huh? where is he???" Ria screamed as she hatefully snarled at Anita.
"How dare you refer to my father as a bastard, you are the real bastard," Anita spat out.
The bantering and exchange of words between the two girls caused a scene, and immediately Mr. Vincent came out of his room with his wife Camille trailing behind him.
"What is going on here," Camille, Anita's mother, asked, concerned as it seemed her daughter was in a fight with a girl whom she recognized to be Brianna Donovan.
"Isn't that Brianna Donovan? I thought she just lost her parents. Is she not supposed to be mourning?" Camille asked her husband as she looked at him confusingly, but Vincent ignored her as he walked up to his daughter.
"Dad, she just barged into our house uninvited, saying she wanted to see you," Anita said coyly, feigning innocence." Vincent walked past her, nodding his head as he walked downstairs.
"VINCENT, YOU BASTARD! WHO GAVE YOU THE RIGHT TO BURY MY PARENTS WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE?" Ria stormed at Vincent the moment she saw him approaching. She grabbed onto his collar, shaking him violently.
"ANSWER, YOU BLOOD-SUCKING OLD FART!" she yelled again as she grabbed his hair this time.
"WHATTT?" Camille yelled as she ran downstairs and pushed Ria off her husband, causing her to fall and land on the floor.
"What the hell is wrong with you? How dare you come to our house and disrespect us in this manner, you psychotic BITCH!" Anita screamed at Ria as she pushed her and went to where her mother and father were.
Camille was checking Vincent's face as she threw daggers at Ria, who was still on the floor. "You must really have no shame. Your parents just died, and instead of you to be mourning, you show up at other people's houses to harass them. Your dead mother really didn't teach you well," Camille said as she stared disdainfully at Ria.
