Ria got up and arranged her hair as she glared at Camille. "You better keep my mother's name out of your rotten mouth, you old hag," Ria said, looking at Camille disgustingly. "Brianna, get out of my house now, while I'm being nice because I would not like to call the police on you," Mr. Vincent finally said calmly, as this was the first time he was saying a word since Ria got there. "Oh, so you can talk? I was starting to wonder if you had gone mute or something," Ria scoffed sarcastically.
Vincent Forbes was a very devious and cunning man. He was pure evil, and one of his attributes as a devil was manipulating people. His extremely calm demeanor never sold him out. He always appeared calm, irrespective of the situation. He never acted rashly, and all that facade was what made her father appoint him as Deputy CEO. According to him, he saw potential in this bald-headed gorgon.
"Answer my question. Why did you bury my parents without my knowledge and in my absence? I could sue you for that, you know," Ria yelled, and Vincent's expression changed as his face suddenly became dark. "You all are going to hear from me in court, so brace yourselves for the crash," she said, pointing at all of them as she spat on the floor and walked out of their house and drove off. She would immediately start talking to her lawyer about everything.
"Father, did you hear what she said? She said she is going to sue us. Oh my God, daddy, you have to do something. I don't wanna go to jail," Anita panicked as she looked at her dad with a sullen expression, and Vincent just walked to a chair and sat down, pinching the skin between his brows as he was thinking. "She's right, love. We have to do something. That brat can't be allowed to do that. That would tarnish our image and wreck everything we've worked so hard for. Think about it, Vincent," Camille also panicked. "You know what? Just shut up, both of you. I'm trying to think here," Vincent snapped at his panicking wife and daughter. "Oh my God, we are so done for. I knew burying those people will bring us troubles. If only you had listened to me," Anita complained, to earn a glare from her mother.
Vincent picked up his phone and quickly scribbled some numbers into it as he dialed it. "Follow Brianna Donovan. She just left my house now in a black SUV," Vincent said over the phone. "Yes, boss, and then?" the person at the other end of the phone asked further. "KILL HER," Vincent said as his face grew darker. "Yes, boss," the person said and ended the call.
"What, Daddy? Isn't that going to be suspicious? A week after her parents were found dead in their mansion, she dies too?" Anita asked in fear. "Anita, what did I always tell you to do with trash?" Vincent asked as he stared at his daughter lovingly. "To take it out?" Anita said sullenly. "Yes, baby, and that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm taking out our trash so we can live comfortably. You know all I do is for you and your mom, right?" he asked lovingly as he caressed her cheek. "Hmm," she nodded. "Now that's a good girl. Don't tell anyone about this, okay?" he said as he patted her head and went upstairs with Camille trailing behind him. "Yes, father," she whispered under her breath as she stood there.
Ria tried calling their family lawyer, but he was not picking. She looked through the side mirror and saw a car slowly trailing behind her. That car had been right behind her since she left the Forbes mansion. She decided to take another route to see if the car would still follow her, just to be sure if the car was actually following her. To her greatest surprise, it was. "Who the hell is following me?" she said to herself. She decided to speed up, and the car also increased its pace so as not to lose her. She was so scared because she didn't have any weapon with her in the car except for a fire extinguisher in the trunk of the car. Trickles of sweat started forming on her forehead. She refused to die like this. This was definitely Vincent's doing. That man was very dangerous, and she threatened him. That must be what pushed him to come after her because she did not offend any other person except from Vincent. That man was truly a monster. She came across a bar and stopped her car, quickly rushing inside. She was going to mix up with the people inside, and it would be hard for them to find her. But when she tried getting into the main bar, the security stopped her. "I'm sorry, ma'am. You can't get in. The bar has been specially reserved today, and no one is allowed in," the huge man said to her. "What? No, please, I need to get in. I'll pay you any amount you want, but I need to get in now," she said, panting seriously as she kept looking behind her, and she saw some men coming out of that car. "Please, I need to get in now," she yelled, and the guards started to become suspicious of her, so they didn't budge. She looked for a way to get in, but there were no other doors except this one, which was guarded heavily with two huge bodyguards thrice her size. But wait, that might be an advantage. There was a small space in their middle, which was wide enough for her to pass through. She looked behind her and saw one of the men from that car walking towards her, so without thinking, she ducked and ran through the heavy men guarding the door. Before they knew it, she already ran past them. As they were about to follow her, they saw a man approaching them who looked armed and posed as a bigger threat to them than that small-looking woman who just ran inside. Besides, their boss was going to take care of her. They stood back in their position as they clutched their guns tightly when the man approached them. They made it clear to him that he could not enter, and when he tried to signal his men, one of the guards spoke up. "Look, don't try anything because this place is heavily guarded. So make a move now, you and your men are going to be bird's food before you even know it," the guard said without even looking at the man before them, and the man in front of them quietly retreated back to their car to wait for Ria outside.
She kept running, thinking those guards were behind her or even worse, those men who were following her. She saw a door in front of her and immediately ran inside and locked the door behind her, panting. She was still facing the door when a cold voice thundered in the room. "WHO ARE YOU?"
