"Kylie POV.
"Such a beautiful moment." the monster Ryan said as he came to where we stood and I became terrified. "Wouldn't it be fun if I ruined it?" he smirked at me.
"What do you want?" Can't you leave me to live in peace?" I said on the verge of tears.
"Never," he whispered into my ear before looking back at me with his signature smirk plastered on his dumb face. "You should know by now that I would never leave you because you are mine and would always be mine till eternity," he said with an unusual and skin-crawling tone and I trembled in fear.
"She doesn't want to be with you so why not be a gentleman and back off," Louis said and the monster began to laugh hysterically.
"You know she was also beautiful and tender like Kylie?" he grinned at me. "He must have mentioned the mother of his child to you and the in...."
"Stay out of my business." Louis gritted in anger.
"Your business?" Ryan glanced at him. "I guess you never really found out the full story." he walked over to him. "You never got to know the guy she eloped with."
"He can rot in hell for all I care."
"I expected nothing more from you than spite towards the guy, towards me." he smiled and Louis's fist kissed his chin, making Ryan stumble backward.
"Shut the fuck up," Louis growled as he advanced towards Ryan in rage. He attempted to land another punch on him but Ryan beat him to it by dodging swiftly.
"I see, you are being protective," he said rubbing the spot of the attack. "Have you ever asked yourself why she quit on you like that with a child in her womb?" he cocked an eyebrow in the direction of Louis.
I remembered the conversation between Louis and me when Kim had proved stubborn. He had said she had left him because he had no money to take care of her and she couldn't stand his sight.
"Your silence proves to me that you have indeed thought about it," Ryan spoke up after a little while. Louis gave no response and with the aid of the dim light from the sky, I could see his face harden. "But do you want to know something? Diane was so naive that she agreed to every one of my demands. The day I first met her, she was already wasted at the bar. l had met her sobbing and as a gentleman, as you put it I had gone to her and asked her what the issue was. She was so drunk that she opened up to a stranger. She had told me that her newly wedded husband wasn't fair to her as he didn't accept her as his wife because their marriage was arranged and because of that he kept rejecting her right in bed. Dumbly of her, she had offered me what I couldn't reject, which we both didn't regret. Months later we became lovers and when I realized that she was developing a kind of feeling for you, I took action by emotionally blackmailing her about eloping with me. Though it took days, she accepted." Ryan paused and turned to look at me. "I never forgot you, Kylie. You were always on my mind. Whenever I had been with Diane, I would often see your face instead of hers." he walked towards me. "You had captured my heart so it made it hard for me not to remember your sweet self. I guess I had fallen too deep to the extent that it can't be helped again," he said clicking his tongue. "The day I broke into the billionaire house. A nice house you've got there." he paused looking back at Louis, who stood transfixed in the spot.
I could imagine the kind of pain he had been through in the past, which had come back to him like a fresh wound right on the healing spot of the former wound.
"I had broken into the house when I heard that Diane was in town and I guessed that she would be there, trying to hide her face but what I didn't know was that a surprise awaited me. I was shocked when I saw you but also glad that you remembered me, which made all of this a lot easier. Kylie when I had seen you, I believe....."
It happened so fast and in a blink of an eye, he was on the ground, getting beaten by Louis but in another minute, it was Louis that was getting beaten. Out of nowhere, someone grabbed my arm and began pulling me away.
"Louis!" I screamed but Ryan was still beating him.
Getting in front of the thug who was pulling me, I kicked him in the crouch and he left me immediately to tend to his tender spot so I used the opportunity to pull out the gun that was held by his trouser and held it to his head.
"Hey!" I shouted but they were still engaged in the fierce fight so I shot the gun into the air and that got their attention.
"Kylie, drop the gun," Ryan said, trying to get closer to me.
"Don't you take another step or the bullets in this baby would be going into his damn skull." I threatened and he laughed. "You think I'm joking?" I asked, cocking the gun that was still pointed at the thug's head and he stopped laughing.
"Ryan, please tell her to drop the gun?" the thug sounded frightened and I heard Louis chuckle.
"Kylie, please drop the gun."
"Okay," I said and he sighed in relief. "But before I drop this gun, Louis could you please check if he's armed?" I asked and Louis got down to work and brought out three guns from Ryan.
"Clear," he said and I dropped the gun from the thug's head.
★★★★★★★★LOUIS POV.★★★★★★★★
In my greatest mind would I think that Kylie would take control of the situation and have them tied up with a tether that we found in the cabin then we had to wait till daybreak when we finally. Now Ryan and his goons were taken into the vehicle to the torture home where they wouldn't be released but maltreated for a long while. Kylie was already so weak that I insisted on taking her to the hospital for a thorough check but she disagreed so I told Andy to call my doctor to get her treated before we went back home.
"What about Nate?" I asked Andy when he came to my side.
"He has been taken to the hospital for proper treatment."
"How did you know that he was being used?"
"One of my guys spotted Ryan in town yesterday and we followed him and found out that he had captured Nate's family so he could use him."
"How did he get shot?"
"He had gone against Ryan. He told him he was fed up and couldn't go on and he also threatened him with the police so Ryan shot him in the chest. I guess he was aiming for his heart but missed." he said and I heaved as I looked at Kylie who was being treated in the van.
"She might just be the right person for you."
"She is a survivor and has been through a lot at his hands. Make sure to keep him locked up when I get back I have some questions for him." I said as I approached the vehicle.
"
