If I was still very shocked, Louis had believed her and told her that she could come to leave with us when she had given an unreasonable excuse that she was stranded and didn't know where to stay. I tried to change his mind but he didn't answer me.
" You can use the room at the end of the passage." He said to her as they went up the stairs and I followed behind them.
" Thank you." She said smiling at him.
" Don't hesitate to tell me if you need anything." He said as I turned to enter my room silently.
" I've missed you so much. I thought you had forgotten about me." She said making her voice tiny in a way that sounded stupid to me.
" I've also missed you and I hope that we'll catch up about the lost times together." He said and I slammed the door close.
I can't believe that he fell for obvious lies that I became angry at myself for not talking when I had the chance. After some hours of regret, someone knocked on the door, which was Louis. On opening the door I saw the fake girl beaming.
" What?" I asked a bit rudely.
" Calm down." She said grinning. " Louis asked me to tell you that dinner is ready."
" Tell him I'm not hungry," I said as the closed the door but she held it in place.
" You would get weak when you don't eat that's what my Louis often said to me in the past when we were still together." She said and I flipped my head to face her.
" Whether he said it or not is a mine of my business and if you must excuse I have to sleep," I said slamming the door the second time today but this time it to her face.
I went over to my closet and changed my clothes to my pajamas. Going over to my bed I heard knocking again and I went over to the door.
" Is too so hard for you to understand....." I paused when I saw it wasn't her but Louis.
" What is so hard for me to understand?" He asked but I kept quiet." Helen told me that you've refused to eat."
" Yes."
" Why?"
" I'm not hungry," I said stubbornly.
" Suddenly, Miss. Kylie Levine decides not to eat which is very unusual for her, even if she's in a bad mood she still eats something even if little, and she expects me to believe her and leave." He teased.
" Seriously, I'm okay."
" What's wrong?" He asked getting serious but I kept mute." Maybe if I come in you open up to me." He suggested as he made his way into my room without waiting for approval. " Now what's the problem?" He asked again.
" Nothing's wrong," I said plainly as I sat down on the bed.
" Are you sure because this isn't your normal behavior?"
"Seriously! You're saying this isn't my normal behavior?" I flared up." You should be kidding me." I laughed dryly.
" Kylie what the....."
" I think you should go downstairs." I cut him off. "You should go downstairs, your childhood love must be waiting for you," I said as I stood up and walked to the door.
"Kylie.." he began but I shook my head and opened the door.
When he had gone out, I jumped on my bed and began sobbing into my pillow. At midnight, I went to the kitchen to get what I could eat because I was really hungry. Luckily for me, a plate of food was on the kitchen table and I dived to eat and began eating like it was my last. I was almost through with the food when someone switched on the light.
" Hm." The person coughed and I froze.
Caught red-handed, I didn't know what to do so I kept eating.
"What? Don't act like a ghost and speak." I said to him as I continued stuffing my face with food.
"I thought you weren't hungry," Louis said coming to my front.
"Yeah, I wasn't, but now I am."
"Calm down or you'll choke."
"Don't worry about me I'll be fine," I said before gulping the glass of water.
"What?" I asked looking up at him as he started at me thereby making me uncomfortable.
"You are confusing and I can't seem to understand you no matter how hard I try."
"You don't need to understand me," I said as I carried my plate over to the sink. "Anyways, what were you looking for in the kitchen, were you also hungry?"
"No, I needed a refill." He raised his bottle.
"Okay."
"I'm sorry if I provoked you."
"I'm also sorry if I behaved rudely," I said but he kept quiet. "I've to go back to bed." I made my way outside the kitchen to my room.
In the morning, I went downstairs to find Louis and Helen laughing and pain shot through me.
"Kylie." He called when he saw me. "Are you ready?" He said smiling.
Nodding my head I made my way outside to wait for him while he rounded his talk with her.
After work, I told Louis to leave without me because I needed to get something before going back home.
I needed some clothes so I decided to go to the boutique and also use the time to avoid Louis and the fake girl. Choosing cloth, was hard as I wasn't used to shopping and it took hours before I finally settled on one.
I had decided to walk home so I could spend more time away from them and when it was beginning to get late, I began to feel insecure. Suddenly I felt that someone was following me but when I looked back I didn't find anyone so I increased my pace. I was almost home when I felt someone's hand around my mouth and I kept struggling but it was all waste of time as the person was stronger than I was. I started to feel weak didn't which made me lose control over my body and gradually darkness surrounded me.
**********************Louis POV******************
I stayed in the living room, waiting impatiently for Kylie to enter as it was already dark outside. I regretted not asking her where she was going as I was excited about going back home to see Helen. When it was 11:43, I couldn't wait anymore so I decided to go look for her.
" She'll get home soon there is no need for you to worry." Helen tried comforting me but it didn't work.
"What if..... No, nothing can happen to her." I said trying to erase the bad thoughts from my head.
Not long after, I was driving through the city looking for her in the darkness of the night trying to get a glimpse of her but I couldn't. Worried, I gave Andy, the head of my security a call and told him to look for her in every corner of the city. Bluerose wasn't that big so it wouldn't take much time.
Getting down from my car, I decided to walk so I could easily find her. It took me a long time when I finally spotted her amongst the night crowd.
"Kylie," I shouted but she didn't answer.
Breaking through the crowd, I ran over to her and tapped her shoulder but it was another person who had the same back view as hers.
Disappointed, I went back to my car and drove back home.
"Did you find her?" Helen asked as I slumped on the chair in the living room.
"No, but I'll continue the search tomorrow."
"I'm not sure if she is lost." He said and I flung my head to face her.
"What do you mean?" I asked confused.
"I'm saying that maybe she went to hide somewhere because she's offended."
"Offended?"
"She might be offended by the fact that you brought me here."
"Kylie can't be offended due to that."
"Yesterday, she didn't eat dinner and had a foul attitude. Don't you think she may be jealous of me?"
"Again she is not like that and why did you say she's jealous?" I asked refusing to believe her.
"I don't know but she might have some kind of feelings for you." She said as she left the living room.
Heaving a sigh, I also went to the room but I couldn't sleep as I thought of where Kylie might be, and what Helen said came to me.
'Is she truly hiding somewhere or not and if she is why?' I kept asking myself till I fell asleep.
In the morning, I got ready to continue my search and I was already in the car when my phone rang. I didn't check the caller's ID before picking it up.
"Hello, Mr. Vale." Andy's voice came in.
" Any updates?"
"No." he paused and I heaved in disappointment but I also noticed the tension
"What is it?"
"There's something else."
"I know unless I wouldn't have asked you. Spill."
" The Nate guy escaped."
