Chapter 2 - Kinara Wants To Make Sure

Raindrops welcomed Kinara's arrival on the island of Bali, especially in the Kuta area. After leaving the airport, she immediately got a special taxi. The 35-year-old woman then continued her journey to one of the hotels suspected to be her husband's lodging.

Talking about feelings, of course, Kinara's feelings right now are not good. Her own beliefs and Tiara's words are still at war. However, Kinara hopes that Tiara's suspicions about Abimana's affair are wrong. At least, in the last seconds before the raid, there was still a possibility that Kinara's hope would win.

The taxi turned right after half an hour's drive from the airport to the hotel. Not long after, the building with dozens of floors looked stunning. The hotel will be Kinara's current stopover with a plan, namely to find out the truth about Tiara's words.

Kinara got off the taxi after the payment procedure had been completed. The next second, she walked towards the lobby, then headed to the place where the receptionist was. The three receptionists on duty gave a warm welcome to Kinara who they thought was a potential tenant. However, unfortunately, Kinara's current goal is not to stay overnight, but to conduct an investigation.

"Is there someone named Abimana Erlangga who rents one of the rooms in this hotel, Miss?" asked Kinara shortly after the warm welcome from the receptionists finished.

"I'll check it out first, Madam, please wait a moment," replied the receptionist who was the focus of Kinara's eyes at this time. Indah Prameswari's name was written on the name tag attached to her clothes.

"Thank you."

Kinara sighed, while the anxiety was already raging even more intensely. The next second, she decided to contact Tiara, who as she recalled, also stayed at the hotel. Tiara's presence would probably help her more. After all, if Tiara's guess was proven wrong, Kinara wouldn't bother looking for Tiara anymore so she could give some insults.

The cellphone had been stuck to Kinara's ear, shortly after she made an outgoing call to contact Tiara. However, before the call was received by Tiara, the receptionist called Kinara's name politely. At that instant, Kinara decided to postpone her plan. She put the phone down and ended up putting it in her carry-on bag as before.

"How?" asked Kinara.

Indah Prameswari smiled, then replied, "Currently Mr. Abimana Erlangga is one of the tenants of our hotel, Madam."

Kinara swallowed saliva. The more bitter she feels. "Where? What room number is he staying in?"

"Sorry, Madam. For that information, we can't tell the Madam. Our hotel takes customer privacy very seriously."

Kinara bit her lip. Confused for a moment. Before finally, she got the idea to be able to enter the hotel room where Abimana was. Kinara rushed to open a tote bag with a small wallet in it. Then she took a business card out of the wallet, then she handed it to Indah Prameswari.

"I'm Kinara Dewi Pradipta. A fairly reputable real estate entrepreneur. Please, call your manager and tell your manager I want to talk," said Kinara.

Indah Prameswari looked confused. She did not expect the woman she was dealing with today was a CEO. The business card not only included Kinara's full name, but also the name of Diamond Palace, a leading real estate company. Indah finally felt that she had no other choice after a few seconds of thinking. This made her have to contact the hotel manager so that her boss would be willing to meet Kinara.

A few minutes later, the manager who heard that a leader from Diamond Palace wanted to meet, arrived at the hotel lobby. His breath was panting, and beads of sweat also seemed to be running down his forehead and neck. Let everyone know that he was in such a hurry.

"Good afternoon, Mrs. Kinara. I am Pandu Dewata, the manager of this hotel," said the manager whose name was Pandu Dewata.

Kinara looked at Pandu with eyes that showed great hope. "I want to know where Abimana Erlangga is staying and give me special access so that I can enter the room where Abimana is," she said without further ado.

"Before, I apologize, Mrs. Kinara. But, why do you want to have special access from us? Mm, could you follow me to a more comfortable room to talk?" Pandu tries to make an offer and find out the motive behind Kinara's request.

"No," said Kinara with a straight face, although the anxiety was getting thicker in her heart at this time. "You know that I am the wife of Abimana Erlangga, right? There is a personal problem that makes me have to enter the room without his knowledge, Mr. Pandu. This is related to our household. Should there be much consideration for you just to give access to me as the wife of Abimana?"

Pandu hesitated and fell silent. Given the hotel management will maintain the privacy of every customer. Usually, he had no trouble dealing with the existence of people like Kinara. The problem right now is that Kinara is not a random person. He also knows that recently Kinara Dewi Pradipta, who has just served as the main leader of the Diamond Palace, has received many awards.

Kinara also succeeded in bringing Diamond Palace into the most prominent real estate company. Moreover, if Kinara's company and Abimana's company had merged, their company would have been much bigger. If Pandu makes even the slightest bit of trouble with someone like Kinara, the hotel where he works could be threatened.

Pandu sighed, then smiled kindly. He looked at Kinara, then said, "Okay, Madam. I can help you with the problem of getting into Mr. Abimana's room."

"Thank you," Kinara answered without any exaggeration.

Next, Kinara followed Pandu who had asked for a spare key in the form of a card to enter Abimana's room now. Their steps are directed in the right direction. An elevator becomes a tool to go up to the intended floor.

The trip left Kinara completely speechless. In plain sight, she looked calm and so elegant. Kinara is indeed a strong woman and good at keeping every worry. However, deep in her heart, there is a fear. She was worried if Abimana was having an affair. Her husband, whom she loved for a year after the marriage, had always been a figure she highly respected. She didn't know how ruined her life would be if Tiara's words were proven to be true.

"No. Tiara must be wrong," Kinara muttered.

The elevator doors finally opened after a minute of being closed. It seems that Kinara and Pandu have arrived at the designated floor. Pandu's steps swung again, accompanied by Kinara's steps. The two then stopped in front of a door with the number 1313.

"Mrs. Kinara, Mr. Abimana is staying in this room. Using this card, you can enter directly without knocking on the door. Mm, do you need any more help?" said Pandu while handing the spare key in the form of a card.

"No, thank you," replied Kinara flatly.

"Then I will excuse, Madam. If anything goes wrong, you can call our staff again."

Kinara did not answer Pandu's last words, making the man immediately back away and leave. Kinara's eyes continued to stare at the small board attached to the bedroom door with the number 1313 on it. In a moment, she would know whether Tiara's words were true or just a false assumption. However, trying to open that door why did it feel so hard for Kinara? Should she go ahead to find out about Abimana's activities? Or is it better for her to just back off to reduce the risk of getting hurt?
