Chapter 53 - Dream master

After hearing what the little one in their midst had to say, a lot of them ended up with their mouths being left wide open for a considerable amount of time.

"You are the one?"Finally, someone other than Solo spoke up amongst the men.

"What do you mean by that?"Finn asked.

"Don't be confused, youngling. But you are very famous down here way before you even came. For days now there's been talk of a vampire murderer. We just didn't think it would be...."Solo wasn't able to finish these words as Finn ended up interrupting him.

"A spawn. You didn't think a spawn would be capable of killing and eating two vampires?"Finn asked. Yet again, a wider look of shock was on their face. This time, Solo took a step back and those around him, the other vampire males turned to look at themselves but this time, nothing like laughter resulted from this gesture. Frankly, they maintained a look of disbelief while staring at Finn.

"From the looks on your faces, it appears that the last bit is news to you. Kikikikihhahahah..."Finn laughed for a couple of seconds revealing his dentition as his lips spread apart to his ears.

"Whoever brings you all news must have omitted quite a lot, especially the interesting part. You see, I eat vampires. That's the reason I was sent here, "Finn said and took a moment to observe their reactions. From all he knew so far, they were informed to a certain extent but that was it. He knew they were all potential criminals of the vampire nest but from his understanding of how they acted, these were just as broken by the system as the others. There was very little propensity that they'd act out. So Finn continued to push on with the shocking introduction. He stood from the floor and stood facing Solo and then he began.

"I might be wrong, but I'm guessing I'm far more rotten than you all because from what you have said and what I know, the fate wall dispenses the rotten ones over to this prison. But on the other hand, the prison option skipped me. I'm only here temporarily, soon, I will be visiting the Nether, "Finn announced to the twelve much older and bigger vampires in the cell with him. The expression on their faces only got worse the more he talked.

"I was getting to that part, "said Solo who had managed to get a hold of himself a bit and walked back up to Finn.

"The Nether from my knowledge hasn't opened in a long time. The last time it did, the former king was sent there. But if what you say is true that in fifty-nine days it would yet again open, then you should count yourself lucky to be here. Sadly, on the other hand, your death here as opposed to being amongst the entire nest will be more painful ....but on the bright side very quick, "Solo said but failed to enunciate the last part properly.

Nonetheless, this didn't pose as much problem to Finn who by far had a keener sense of hearing than humans. He had picked up on every word that Solo said.

"What's this about the Nether that the people fear so much? Shouldn't the one being sent there be the most to worry about?"Finn asked.

"Hahahaha... You have no clue where you are headed, do you? Unlike this prison, the Nether isn't a place that even vampires who have gone mad with Haemophrosis would want to go. If I were you, I'd pray for a quick death before the day of your sentence. One way or the other, you won't make it before that time anyway. The calamities that occur when the Nether gates open aren't something that would be allowed to happen if the people see a way to stop it. And I'm guessing, you being here is the way they plan to stop it, "Solo said.

"What does killing me have to do with the gates opening or not?"Finn inquired.

"Hmmm, it's hard to explain but you see, the nether in its own right is very mysterious. The most that is known about it is that no one who goes there ever returns. The gates opening unleashes terror on its own. And the final one that was discovered recently with the entry of the king from which the people have learnt, the nether is linked with the fate wall, "Solo said and looked around at his comrades who remained as silent as ever. It was odd to see grown vampires who were potentially in their fifth century of existence acting like spawns that had been scolded to remain still.

This act being put on led to thoughts from Finn that perhaps Solo wasn't letting out all that there was to know. But in that case, Finn was making the best out of the opportunity he had. Taking control of the moment to gain as much knowledge as he could.

"The nether is linked to the fate wall? How so?"Finn asked.

"Again, how true this is, I have no idea. It's been a while since I have been out with the general public and as such, I don't know the path that things of the nest take anymore. But if anything, whenever one's fate is decided by the Fate wall and it has to do with the Nether, that's when the nether opens. In a way, the gates only open to receive its next victim," Solo revealed.

-So they would try to kill me because my existence means the nether gates will open. Employing one rule of nature, KILL OR BE KILLED. Now the question is, who will die first?-Finn thought.

"When the time comes, you will know. My only advice is to let things flow. Do not struggle and save yourself from the wrath of the nether, "Solo said with shaky eyes as he looked into Finn's eyes and just like everyone else, he realized just what colour they were.

"Could he be the one?"Solo thought as he stared into the eyes.

"I asked you for the reason you desired to know my name. It is fine if you desire to identify me. But I didn't tell you my name just so you could identify me. I told you my name so that you may remember me. Not just me, but this day. Remember, Finn Adrain shall go into the Nether and shall return from the Nether, "Finn said and at that moment, he held Solo's gaze still as the words struck his ear.

With no comment from the older vampire, Finn decided the questions he had asked were enough for the time being.

"I need to rest now, "Finn said to Solo and then turned around to his corner to lie down.

With his eyes closed, he could somewhat sense that the twelve men in the room were staring at him. But at that point, he didn't bother about them as his mind was set on something else, he was ready to dream.

------------------------------

"Hello, Tiwa," Finn said as he found himself in a white room and in the middle was a white ball of light flying towards him. The light got brighter as it drew nearer to him and after several seconds of intense brightness, it suddenly stopped and scattered into particles which began to reassemble forming what appeared to be a human structure from the legs. When it was done forming the human body, a stunning lady in an all-white gown with white glowing skin exposed around her lap and chest area stood in front of him.

"Again, another dream with you, master" The lady who went by Tiwa said.
