[Destroy the secra serpents from the source]
Finn looked on ahead as he saw this notification. At that moment, he was in a place outside his dream box. What this meant was that he had lost the safety the dream box provided.
The surrounding around him was far from ordinary. The ground beneath his feet was engraved with stones of multiple colours, each glittering at its own time. Looking at his sides, there wasn't much to make of except dark blue mist covering the distant view.
Yet in front of him, this dark blue mist was separated by the multi-colour stones that made a pathway. Other than these things, there was nothing else to make of this place.
"Secra serpents, unrelenting dream beasts. Be careful, they..."Tiwa was going to say but had the opportunity taken from her. As at that moment, Finn was under attack and needed an immense amount of concentration if he was to make it out alive.
In front of Finn were multiple snake-like creatures heading his way in a rush. They weren't the typical snakes one was used to.
With large rows of fangs that barely remained in their jaws and fierce brown eyes that radiated their innate hunger. Then to put the nail in the coffin, instead of crawling on their abdomen, they all had appendages lining up the wall of their stomachs.
These sets of tiny legs went nearly around their bodies with the exception of their neck areas where black scales aligned themselves on.
Sizing their length, they were anything between 14-15 feet long. Yet their most terrifying asset was the spike-embedded tail behind them that wriggled around as they moved towards Finn.
"The last time I battled five and they came in breaks. Now here's how many that I can't count and they don't seem to be ending!!!"Finn thought while watching closely the movements that they made.
Other than the numbers advantage they had on him, another stand-out feature about these serpents was that they were elusive creatures. And if there was anything that contributed to their success, then it was the dark blue mist environment that provided the perfect shade and cover for them.
Even with Finn's sensitive eyesight, it didn't matter how hard he looked, he couldn't keep up with them. One moment they were on the colourful stone pathway, the next minute they had disappeared into the shade of the blue mist on both sides of the pathway.
All he could do was rely on his keen sense of hearing which by the way was the only organ that seemed to have proven effective so far. With the sound of their hundreds of appendages stomping the floor as they approached, Finn had a good idea of their position.
"I just have to focus"...
*Shriek!!!*
"Die you Phantom creature!!!"Finn announced as he sighted a Secra serpent appear from his back with its head diving inwards towards him.
Nonetheless, situations like this were what he had come prepared for the moment he made up his mind to step outside the protection of the dream box.
Around his hand now was a blue hue covering the length of his forearm. This hue although familiar was not the same as the vampire's core attacks.
Instead, this was his special powers that had to do with his ability, Oneirokinesis. And the blue hue surrounding his hand was called the dream force.
The blue energy quickly turned into a ball and with as much force as he could muster up, he threw the dream energy ball straight into the secra serpent's wide-open mouth.

Instantly as the ball hit the serpent's mouth, it scattered into beams of light and these lights could be seen penetrating through the serpent's body. In no time, the secra serpent was being burnt from the inside by the dream energy ball.
"Hmmmp, if I hadn't fought you beasts previously, I would probably be having a harder time thriving than I am now. Nonetheless, my dream force powers are quite strong and all it takes is a well-placed hit to get these beasts destroyed. Besides, these are weak creatures, to begin with," Finn thought with a smile as he watched the Secra serpent disintegrate before him.
He was confident in handling them if they came in lesser numbers and without ambushing him from all corners.
But playing fair didn't seem to be on the mind of the serpent. As soon as he had dealt with one Secra serpent, several more were upon him.
And with a wrong-timed calculation of how close they were around him, he failed to realize quickly enough just where their positions were. And all it took was one serpent tail swipe to send him flying off his feet.
"Argh!!"Finn groaned as he landed on the merciless stone pathway.

A notification appeared the moment this happened. This was a health warning indicating that he had taken a certain amount of damage. And what this meant was that even though it was all in his dream world, as far as he was outside the dream box, he was vulnerable to any attacks. He looked down at his abdomen and could see that a certain spike was stuck in his rib and from the looks of things, it appeared to have gone deep.
*Bing!!!*

"These cursed beast has poisoned me. I'm not dying, not today. But you are!!!!"Finn growled with anger as he shuffled right back to his feet because once again, what existed between him and the serpents was a stealth survival game to see who would triumph over the other.
And in this case, it certainly did not look good for Finn. Getting up from the ground only to be swiped up and wrapped around by another humongous secra serpent.
Now that he had been caught in the tight-vice-like grip of the Secra serpent, he could see several more emerge from the cover of the blue mist.
"I have to get out of this trap. Yet unfortunately, my natural strength won't cut it. If I'm going to free myself, I'm going to have to get creative, even at the expense of my dream points!!!"Finn thought as he was being wrapped up by one of the secra serpents.
