Allison's POV:
He was looking at me intensely as I prepared myself to say what I wanted.
"What?" He asked in his deep voice. I must admit that he has the sexiest voice I have ever heard in my life and therefore I was stunned after hearing him and couldn't say any word ahead. My mouth was growing wide open as I couldn't process my brain to speak more.
"What is wrong with you?" He asked arrogantly and I blinked my eyes several times to get that courage while gulping.
"Um…" I looked down and wondered how in hell I was supposed to tell him to put the cigarette out after coming across his intense look and deep voice. "Actually…"
"Say something immediately or get the hell out of here" He said bitterly. I shivered and gulped over his haughty and bitter attitude and wondered if he was actually a junior considering his utmost confidence but then I thought that may be the students of this school has that confident no matter whether they are juniors or seniors.
"Actually, you need to put that out" I said in one go and pointed towards his cigarette. He moved his face down through my eyes and looked at the cigarette in his hands. He then moved his face up to look at me and raised his one eyebrow up, chilling my blood.
I gulped and skipped a beat as he took some steps forward towards me making me take some steps backward while some students gathered around us in curiosity. He narrowed his eyes and asked bitterly, "What did you say?"
"I – I…" I started and some students who were standing around began to whisper something which I couldn't hear. I turned my face to them and tried to figure out what they were saying but then heard someone snapping his fingers at me. I turned back and looked at that smoking guy who was snapped his fingers again at me giving me a shiver.
"You were saying something" He said bitterly.
I nodded slowly and then added, "I need you to put that cigarette down. It's not good for you as well as the others standing around you"
The whispers around me increased which made me think if I was doing the right thing and if he was actually a junior. I gulped and got nervous and looked behind that guy to see Mr. Roman Harris and call him for help but to my surprise, he was nowhere to be found. My eyes began to look for him anxiously.
"Then don't stand around me and get the hell out of here" He said exasperatedly.
"Wh – what?" I asked curiously.
"I said…" He started and walked towards me making me move back while the whispers grew around me. "Get the hell out of here before you regret it…" He added bitterly and unnerved me. I looked behind him to see Mr. Roman Harris but he was still not there. I looked back at him while gulping and wondered if I should say something to him further or just go away from there. I breathed heavily while he kept moving towards me glaring straight into my eyes and I was moving back looking straight into his eyes and decided to take the second option and walk away from there.
"I – I'll go…" I said anxiously and hurriedly walked away from there without looking behind me.
As I walked towards the building and turned around to see if someone was there, I found no one and took a sigh of relief.
"God… What just happened?" I whispered to myself while looking around.
"He just came all on to me…" I was appalled.
"And where the hell Mr. Roman Harris go?" I asked myself and looked around once again.
I entered into the main building while sighing in frustration and anxiously looked around for Mr. Roman Harris but he was nowhere to be found. Suddenly a girl passed by me and I quickly ran towards her, stopping her.
"Excuse me...?" I said and she turned around.
"Yes...?" She looked quite serious.
"Um, do you know where Mr. Roman Harris is?" I asked her.
"Yes he is going to come into classroom D - 2 to give some instructions regarding this year" She said seriously and was about to walk away but I held her from her elbow and she immediately turned around and looked at my hand holding her elbow and then looked at me.
I gently released her elbow and started, "Um, sorry for that, actually I am new here and I don't know where D - 2 is and um... about which year he is going to instruct?"
"Senior year. Which section has been allotted to you?" She asked.
"Yeah um, let me check" I said and quickly took out my phone from my pocket to check the email I received from the King Allen High School featuring all the details.
"Um, it's S1" I said with no clue about what it was.
"Fine. Section S1 is going to gather in D - 2 classroom and I am going there only, follow me" She said in a very serious manner and started walking. I was confused over this section things and classrooms but also wondered why she was so serious and kept looking at her as she was walking away but then realized that she was the only one who could get me there. Therefore, I ran behind her and started following her. She walked straight towards the right side of the stairs and climbed up hurriedly making me speed myself up to keep pace with her. I wanted to talk to her while going to the classroom so that I could have someone to talk to in this school but she was least interested and didn't even turn once to check up on me if I was following her. As we reached the first floor, I realized it was also huge and spacious with a huge corridor towards the left with many rooms in that and a large sitting area at the right side.
"Why am I seeing so many sitting areas in this school" I whispered to myself while the girl entered the corridor and kept walking with me following her behind.
"Do these students even study or just sit around in these couches all day chatting and kissing each other?" I whispered again and made a nauseous face while following the girl as she took a left turn and entered a classroom. Before entering, I looked at the door and noticed that it was D - 2. I entered in and saw a huge room with approximately 30 to 40 individual desks. As I walked in, I noticed surface tablets attached at every desk and that's where my jaw dropped down. I looked around the classroom and saw few students standing in different groups talking about something. I wanted to join them but the timid and diffident self of me didn't allow that. I breathed heavily and wondered where to sit.
As I kept my bag on the desk in front of me, someone said from behind, "Don't..."
I immediately turned around to look at this girl who was standing in front of me smiling widely while holding a notebook and a pen in her hand. She looked beautiful. She has a beautiful fair ivory skin color and her skin texture is flawless. As for her eyes, they are hazel in color and almond in shape which looks magnificent with her intense auburn curly hair. Also, her fuller pink lips are the accentuating feature of her face. To my surprise, she wasn't carrying one of the chic styles and instead she was wearing a baggy blue jeans with a loose white full sleeves T - shirt. She looked quite casual but comfortable in her clothes and in her sneakers.
While I kept wondering how she was so different from the other girls in that school, she started "Hey, there?" while waving her hand.
I blinked my eyes and said, "Yes, um..."
"It's okay..." She chuckled and walked towards me.
"New here?" She asked me.
"Ah yes... I am..." I said nervously.
"Yeah... you look like that..." She said and chuckled again.
I smiled nervously and started, "How did you...?"
"You were going to sit on this desk, so I figured out..." She said and smiled.
"Oh, but – but what's wrong with this desk?" I asked her curiously.
"Nothing wrong but this desk belongs to Camila" She said and rolled her eyes.
I chuckled and couldn't help but ask, "Who is Camila?"
"Camila Sanders… According to her... she is the most popular girl of school as well as the most beautiful" She said and again rolled her eyes and I chuckled again.
"You can sit here, if you want… But then you would have to deal with Camila and…" She started.
"No, I really don't want to deal with her" I said raising my hand up in the air. She chuckled.
"What's your name?" She asked while smiling.
"Allison, Allison Taylor" I said and added, "And yours?"
"Hannah Clark…" She said and while smiling lent her hand out.
"Oh nice name…" I said and shook her hand.
"Thanks. Let's walk at the back and I'll tell you where to sit" She said and started walking towards the back. I smiled and nodded while following her behind. As we walked towards the back of the class, Hannah placed her bag on a desk and then tapped on the desk next to her right. I nodded and immediately placed my bag on the desk.
"So, it's the first day of senior year and the students already have their desks decided? How's that?" I whispered to her.
She chuckled while nodding and started, "You see, D – 2 has been our classroom since we were sophomores, you know and I have been with these students since then. There is a section system here, I think you know that…" She said.
I was confused and started, "Um, you know, I kind of know that but I don't understand how it goes…"
"See, when we were in freshmen, all the students were allotted the sections. Approximately, thirty to forty students in each section and these sections continue to the senior year as well…" She moved forward on her desk and added, "Now the thing with the D – 2 is… that since sophomore, we have been called in D – 2 classroom on the first day and so almost all the students have been sitting on the same desks since then…" She explained which was quite weird to me.
"So… It's just for the instructions and our lectures will be held somewhere else?" I asked curiously.
"No… That depends on the lecturer. They decided where they want to conduct their class" Hannah explained.
"Ah, I see…" I said and kept nodding.
"But who told you about coming to D - 2?" She asked curiously.
"Um, that girl, in the corner…" I said and pointed towards that serious girl standing in the left corner with some students whom she was talking to while smiling.
Hannah turned to see her and started, "Oh that's Olive"
"Olive?" I asked anxiously.
"Her name is Olive. She is very different" Hannah disclosed.
"Yeah she seemed like that. She was quite serious on the way here" I said while looking at her.
Hannah chuckled and started, "Yes, she is like that only. She has some limited friends but the good thing about her is that she is very mature. She would never do any stupid high school student things… Like bullying or whatever…"
"I see… That's nice of her" I said while smiling.
"Ahan…" Hannah agreed.
"But, no one bullied me since I am here…" I said to her.
"Really? How come not?" She asked curiously.
"I don't know… Although everyone did stare at me weirdly… But no one bullied me or something" I said to her.
"Then you are lucky…" She said and smirked.
"Really…?" I wondered.
"Yes, or may be students still don't know that you are new here" She said and smiled and I got anxious.
"But don't worry, I'll stay with you... No one will do anything" She said and smiled. I took a sigh of relief that someone was there for me and assumed that I made a friend maybe.
"Thanks" I said and smiled at her.
"No worries… After this session with Mr. Harris, I'll take you on a school tour" She said excitedly and I smiled widely but then realized that Mr. Roman Harris was going to come here.
"I need to talk to Mr. Roman Harris…" I said looking at the front.
"About what?" She asked me.
"About the thing he asked me to do" I said in frustration.
"What thing?" She got curious.
"It's um…" I started while turning to her just then a guy came walking in the classroom hurriedly.
"Mr. Harris is here…" The guy said while settling down. I got alert as all the students began to settle down on their desks while I noticed some vacant desks and wondered where rest of the students were. I ignored it and sat straight as Mr. Roman Harris was about to enter the classroom. As he did enter, my eyes and mouth were left open…
