Allison's POV:
I looked at the handsome and sophisticated guy entering the classroom with a decent smile on his face and turned to us.
"Hello, students" The guy said. He looked like in his thirties and had a great personality. He was wearing a black pant and a peach color formal shirt with its sleeves folded up to his elbows. He has a beautiful smile and flawless face features. He was having warm ivory skin color with hazel green eyes and dark brown hair.
I couldn't help but look at him constantly until Hannah leaned and whispered to me, "Yeah every new student gets attracted to him"
I turned to look at her while he was writing something on the board. "Yeah he is really handsome…" I said in confusion and further added, "Who is he, by the way?"
She scoffed and started, "Like you don't know him. Mr. Harris"
I couldn't blink my eyes and kept looking at her while she looked at me in confusion. "What are you saying?" I asked her and got restless.
"Yes, he is Mr. Harris. Why? Do you know him from somewhere else?" She whispered.
"No, um…" I couldn't say what I was confused about. I wondered how he was Mr. Roman Harris because the person I had meet earlier was nowhere close to the person I was looking then in appearance. Does she made a mistake? Or is she confused? Why is she calling someone else Mr. Harris? I thought while looking at Hannah who was also looking at me in confusion.
"Um… you know…" I started.
"So, students…" The guy started. "Welcome to the senior year" He added enthusiastically.
"For the ones who don't know me…" He said and I nodded anxiously while he continued, "I am Mr. Roman Harris" And I couldn't blink further appalled by that revelation.
"You all can call me Mr. Harris and I am… your preceptor or you may call instructor…" He said opening his arms with a smile on his face. I don't believe this! How is this possible? If he is Mr. Harris then who was that weird hot dog guy? I thought while recalling everything.
"We know everything about you, Mr. Harris" A guy sitting in the front said lazily and everyone chuckled.
"Yes, I know, Theo… But I need to because there may be some new students in here…" He said and started moving his eyes around.
"There's no one new here…" That guy, Theo replied.
"Of course there is…" The new Mr. Harris said while looking at me. I got nervous and began to look away from him because I didn't want to draw any attention towards me.
"That girl…" He pointed at me and I got restless while everyone turned around to look at me.
"Um…" I gulped and couldn't speak any further.
"You look new here…" Mr. Harris said.
"Yes, um… I am new here, in this school" I said and stood up.
"Keep sitting, miss…" He said and gestured me to sit down. I quickly obeyed him while breathing heavily in nervousness.
"Tell me your name?" He asked. He seemed very gentle, sophisticated and civilized unlike the fake Mr. Harris I met earlier.
"Allison Taylor. I am a transferred student from St. Teresa and um…" I started.
"Of course… Wait, yeah…" Mr. Harris said and rubbed his forehead as if trying to recall something. "I know…" I stopped and waited for him to say anything further and he continued, "I got an email about you and your academic grades. I was really impressed and I think the decision made by this school's officials to bring you here in our school and have you complete your final year is perfect. You would be an excellent addition to our school and as far as considering your previous grades, I think you would definitely get the scholarship for King Allen College too…" He said and smiled while I got nervous again hearing him praising me like that.
"Um, thanks…" I started.
"And I must tell you all…" He looked at all the students and continued, "She got a full scholarship to complete her senior year at our school. She is going to be a serious competition to all of you" As he said those words, all the students began to look at me like they would eat me up then and there making me all nervous.
Considering the awkward situation, I smiled nervously and started, "Oh please, Mr. Harris… It's not like that…"
"It is…" Mr. Harris said and walked a little forward. "So, Allison, tell us more about you" He added.
"Um…" I chuckled nervously and pushed the strand of hair from my face to the back of my ear and continued, "There is not much to know about me, actually… But um, I would like to say that I came here from St. Teresa High school in Hattiesburg which is a small town in Mississippi. And um… I have been good at studies since kindergarten…" I was getting nervous as everyone was looking at me. "And that's about me. Nothing else" I said and smiled anxiously.
"Great… How do feel about getting admission here in King Allen…?" Mr. Harris asked.
"Ah, yeah. It's ah…" I started and paused there. I am not happy to come here but I had to come in between these rich brats for my mother. I said in my mind but then I took a deep breath and continued, "It's ah… great opportunity for my future. It would be a pleasure to study here and I feel lucky that I was the one chosen to come here…"
Mr. Harris bowed and smiled while I smiled back.
"Now…" Mr. Harris started and looked around the class, "I want to know where the rest of the students are?" He asked.
"No idea…" Theo said.
"These people, I tell you…" He started in frustration. "They are not taking this year seriously and they are going to regret it" Mr. Harris added despairingly.
"Evan…" Mr. Harris walked towards a guy sitting in the front. "Evan, I want you to note down the names who are absent in the class and get me the list as soon as possible" He added.
"Sure thing" Evan said and started writing down the names while looking around the class.
"Okay, so now I'll proceed…" Mr. Harris said and continued with all the details and instructions regarding the year while I kept wondering about the guy who disguised himself as Mr. Harris and why he did that. I wanted to tell everything to Mr. Harris about that fake guy but then decided to find out about him first…
