"What can be done is we pave a path down to our home so we may access it faster." Joken talked with Cadin inside one of the tents, pointing at their camp's location on a map.
"Indeed that may happen, though we still need to teach these people how to ride horses. Mainly a select few." Cadin responded back.
Outside the large lit up tent, the campfires were given more wood, the area was rid of corpses and prisoners tended to the horses, feeding to comforting them.
"The wood should provide us with more lumber to use for these camps, along with this there must be more torches or some abundance of light that we may see in our path and not stray."
The two continued speaking with one another for a few more minutes before concluding.
Joken rolled up the map and walked out to the soldiers.
Cadin walked around the area, pondering on his plans as a thousand thoughts flourish inside his mind on what can be done next, thinking constantly while pacing rhe area, looking around.
He walked towards one of the prisoners tending to the horses.
"Hey." The man quickly turned around, a bucket of water in one hand.
"Yes, m-my lord?" The man stuttered, showing fear while Cadin looked at him with a jaded expression.
"Apart from raising horses, you shall teach a few people on how to ride it. For combat and for other purposes." Cadin explained, the man hastily nodded his head up and down.
"Yes my lord!" He turned around quickly, walking to a horse and raising his bucket to it's mouth.
"Hundreds of opportunities to make the people's lives quicker and more efficient, from fish to wood and to this. Providing what the old could not was what worked for me if memory serves well. What can be applied here?" Cadin placed his hand on his chin, pondering.
He looked at the horses again, sensing an idea.
"Supply transportation using horses. A large wooden stick and two baskets, that can be a start." Cadin quickly looked around, grabbing a sturdy short wooden pole and a few buckets.
He approached one of the steeds, hanging the buckets on both ends of the stick he placed it atop on it's saddle.
"This will need more work, and more training. We would need more people as well." Cadin removed the pole, setting it aside to head out.
"My lord." Joken returned, walking behind Cadin while they walked around.
"What is it?"
"The path may be feasible but we must begin removing the trees. That along with creating light for the pathway."Joken informed.
"Indeed, you have noted the lathway we tread earlier correct?"
"Yes my lord."
"Then we shall report it at once for the workers to finish."
Cadin stepped in the middle of the camp, "Soldiers! Guard this area in my absence, i will return shortly." After speakin, Cadin jumped on a horse, tugging another with it.
"Get on." The two headed out in horseback, the hooves stomping on the dirt ground below leaving a path of hoof prints behind them.
"May i ask my lord?"
"Go right ahead."
"Apart from our plans, how do you know these skills? From horseback riding to managing a camp?"
"I learned from before, experience is the best teacher. Thus, it is rather simple for me."
Joken kept silent after, his answer given.
The two arrived at the spot they passed through in the forest.
"It is supposed to be here my lord."
"Very well, we shall give these plans to Poltan. Hopefully that fenced area is finished so the horses may have a home."
They trotted away from the path, the smell of wood and petrichor dominated the air with a cool breeze apssing through. Above the sky was still bright, piercing any open cracks in the forest.
"My lord, how many more plans shall we have after this?"
"Many more Joken, it shall require the involvement of all advisors so our camp may become prosperous. Maybe even more prosperous than our own leader's." The two laughed for a few seconds while moving along.
"Hopefully the resources will be enough. More prisoners may be needed though so we must take out more camps, and quickly." Cadin thought to himself.
They emerged out of the trees, the fence had already been finished just outside of the camp, empty.
"Bring the horse there."
The fences were tall, nearly as tall as the horses themselves. The two dismounted, bring them to the gate of the enclosure.
Pulling the unlocked gate open, they led the horses inside, walking back out after.
"My lord, how do we feed them?"
"Grass, or different parts of a plant placed in a pile for them. Follow me, much work is to be done and we need to get the other horses."
After a quick trip in and out, bringing the rest of the animals into the fenced area. The two entered inside of the home. The two stood around the table with Joken unfurling a large detailed map even showing the allied camps.
"With our state right now we need to use skilled people, in turn they shall teach us their ways and we will prosper." Cadin explained, Joken nodded his head in agreement.
"Thus, our attacks must be rapid and quick with as little casualties as possible." He continued.
"Indeed sir, what about the other advisors? You said that they are required for plans as well correct?"
Cadin moved the stack of paper and ink & quill near him.
"Yes, the attacks may be stalled for now. For now, our plans are to expand further. And i shall be the one that brings us to this prosperity.
"Indeed my lord, i shall call the others so we may discuss these plans further." Joken ran out, shutting the door behind him.
"Hopefully this works, i would need more camps and people to run it efficiently. Though the leaders of the other camps may become envious of this progress, i am but a camp under his. That needs to be changed. And perhaps this self reliance can bring about this change."
The door swung open and the team of advisors ran inside.
"My lord, we have gathered here to await your plans and commands!" Poltan exclaimed.
"Hah, alright, gather around the table. We shall begin a rapid change to ourselves, to become more self reliant." The advisors all stood in front of table, surrounding it as they looked down on the large map.
