"Hey!" A voice yelled out, all at once the soldiers turned to Cadin, frozen for a split second before scrambling for a weapon.
"Just like mercenary work Cadin, just like killing. This time though it is all for me."
As they ran around, a single fighter charged at him, wailing loudly with his sword up high ready to strike in full view of his comrades behind him. But Cadin simply looked at the man running at him, standing by without flinching or moving back.
"Conquer, and conquer without the fear of death, do not let any take away what you have gained."
In a fit of anger, remembering the treachery from his past, Cadin slashed down the enemy in front of him. In just a second, upon the enemy realising his wound, Cadin began wildly slashing his sword at the man, blood spilled and sprayed on the dirt with each hit, all the poor fighter could do was endure.
The rest began congregating in front of Cadin, witnessing what he was doing to one of their allies.
After a flurry of slashes, Cadin kicked the fighter hard into the ground, leaving a dead man bearing many cuts through his armor, leaking out crimson from each wound.
The fighters all stared in horror, before long, a few more ran to Cadin, filled with rage rather than fear.
In similar fashion, Cadin tore through their flesh, slashing his longsword violently at each one as rage began consuming his mind.
With each strike he let out his anger of the past on the enemy, further making the remaining enemies to move back in fear.
The leader stepped forward in front of the rest, followed by some fighters brave enough to face Cadin.
The leader took out a large axe, holding it with two hands, staring at Cadin with eyes of fearlessness.
Cadin charged forward, killing the other soldiers as they fought back to no avail, their bodies fell lifeless on the ground just after a few seconds, their front covered in blood.
The leader and Cadin stood, now it was just the two of them.
Their weapons met in a lock, frozen in place while staring each other down, both encumbered with rage.
In a second, the two pushed each other back, immediately fighting again, Cadin slashed at him, taking many hits from the leader's attacks, only stopping for split seconds from the pain. They moved back and forth, showing no signs of stopping while the rest watched in awe.
Soon, Cadin's strikes became harder and quicker, feeling his hands tighten on the sword's grip as he struck the leader's axe and strong armor.
The leader, irritated by the constant bombardment, began striking at Cadin, quickly turning the side of the battle, hitting Cadin with all his strength, hittint and missing him with each one. Cadin used both his hands as he attempted parrying the axe, pushing it back or pushing it aside with the blade of his sword.
Swinging over and over, a final strike sent the man to the ground, his axe's shaft broke in two. Cadin walked to the crawling man, now desperately trying to get away. The man turned around, starimg at a soldier with anger and fire in his eyes with his weapon's tip aimed at his chest.
Gripping the sword with two hands, he drove it into the armored chestplate, tearing through and burying itself into the flesh. The leader let out a short but gurgled grunt, his body laden with cits and slash marks, all ripping through his armor. Cadin looked into the man's life fleeting eyes, his wounds rapidly healing while the man continued dying.
As he closed his eyes for one final time, anger soon filled the camp, screams roared out from the warriors, enraged.
"Oh, this was not supposed to happen..." Cadin looked around in shock, seeing their hatred consumed eyes.
"Well, subjugation is far easier than forcing surrender."
With one final option left, Cadin yelled out "Soldiers emerge and subdue them all!"
At first the enemy was confused, looking around after he had yelled, some starting to laugh. In a short few seconds, from bushes surrounding the camp and the entranceway, soldiers flooded into the camp, shouting at the top of their lungs, heeding the order.
The enemy's faces were mixed, with a few still enraged and now charged at the soldiers, while others turned. Brutal brawls ensued, thise who began fleeing were sent down on the ground with shields and pommels while those who continued fighting, found themselves surrounded. Cadin stood by, watching as the army began fighting the enemy with little to no remorse in their eyes, only smiles to faces of determination, all heeding their orders.
Cadin grinned, witnessing more enemies fall to the ground with little to no deaths om his end.
Soon, the camp turned quiet, leaving only the crackling of fire and the noise of horses.
The soldiers, realizing their victory, shouted loudly. Cadin though, did not join. He walked towards one of the horses, looking straight at it.
"Ah, the best transportation and companion from my world.
"What are tou doing my lord?" Joken walked up from behind him, holding onto a sword with it's pommel stained with blood.
Something felt off while Cadin looked at the horses, they were too few in number, less than what he had witnessed earlier.
Behind him, the shouts of victory died down. In the distance, the faint sounds of hooves slamming onto dirt in rapid succession became louder and louder by the second.
"Not all of them are here!" He yelled out.
"Soldiers hide behind cover, ready your weapons for what shall approach!" The soldiers began scrambling ariund the camp, hiding in tents, near the walls next to the entranceway.
Cadin ran in front of the way in, soldiers hastily dragged any living enemy fighter they could out of the open. With his bow and remaining arrows, Cadin readied it. Horses galloped far off in the path in front of him, soldiers mounting on top of them ready with their weapons in hand.
Cadin, by himself, stared down the enemy, standing wide out for them to see, not noticing the others hiding inside their camp.
"Spearmen ready your spears in front of the entranceway on my command." Thise holding spears in hand converged with other soldiers, ready to push out their slears to the chsrgung horde of horses.
"This better work."
