As she made her way to the elevator that was at the end of the corridor, Diamond found herself very curious about her neighbor.
She truly wanted to see the young wife and see just how pretty she was for her to snag such a rich man and have a baby for him.
At some point, she also had such ambitions, but that was before she completely fell for that scumbag ex-boyfriend of hers. She wanted to score higher and set her life for good, but who would have thought everything would one day come spiraling down in such an embarrassing manner?
Would she ever see those two? Especially that shameless woman. How could one be that bold?
Anyway, that wasn't the point at that moment.
She just hoped that one day before she left Srad, she would be able to see that woman.
She soon arrived at the elevator and praised the down button and began to wait patiently for the elevator to arrive.
As she waited for the elevator, which was on the 85th floor, to come to her, she suddenly heard the door opening.
Apart from her on that floor, there were the neighbors in 9601. Did that mean that there was a home?
Looking forward to seeing the young wife she had been dying to see, Diamond found herself turning her head back to check who was coming out.
But to her greatest disappointment, the person who came out looked older, and judging by her clothes, she looked like someone who worked there.
The woman closed the door quietly before making her way to where Diamond was waiting for the elevator.
However, despite her disappointment, Diamond didn't show it on her face. After all, attracting hate was very simple, and she didn't want to go around attracting hate for no apparent reason.
When the woman reached her, she politely looked at her before muttering a greeting.
The other didn't seem to be much of a talker, which was another disappointment, for it was the chatterboxes that knew how to expose juicy gossip. And that was good for her, for she would be able to learn a lot of things that she didn't know before.
Diamond greeted back and stood there quietly, without saying another word.
It didn't take long before the elevator reached her floor and the two of them silently got onto the elevator.
On the way down, the elevator stopped several times, and other people joined them. Diamond, since she didn't know anyone, maintained a smile on her face as she returned the greetings.
On floor 65, the woman who boarded the elevator with her on her floor finally got off.
The elevator continued going down until it reached the ground floor. And by that time, there were five of them. Two women and three men.
The other woman with her was busy checking on her sneakily and Diamond found her actions a bit funny, however, she never bothered with her for she wasn't in the mood to start a conversation. She wasn't sure when it would end.
As she passed by the reception desk, the familiar staff that welcomed her when she arrived yesterday greeted her warmly and she waved enthusiastically at them.
Her car was parked in the underground parking. However, since she wasn't planning on taking it, since she wanted to stroll and see places, Diamond didn't go to take it.
Instead, she was going to use an Uber and play until she was tired.
Leaving the Lotus Palace grounds, she took out her phone from the bag. She clicked on the screen and found the Uber app where she began to scroll and look for a nearby Uber available.
After finding one that was ten minutes away from her, she placed a successful order.
After that, she stood by the roadside with the covering of her hat as she waited for the Uber to arrive.
After waiting for some minutes since she wasn't checking, an Uber stopped in front of her.
After confirming that it was the Uber she had been waiting for, Diamond boarded the car and gave the driver her destination, which was the biggest shopping mall in Srad currently.
The mall was nearly two hours away from the palace and very far. It also meant that she was going to bleed, but who cared?
On her way there, Diamond, who was curious about many things, began to ask the driver. These drivers were well-connected and knew a lot since they carried all kinds of people every single day.
And with the driver's help, Diamond learned much that she was very grateful for. She got to know about the hottest places to be and what was trending and all that.
Since she stopped searching for any Srad-related news in the past, Diamond was quite blank when it came to the recent and current affairs of the city except for what Andrea found for her.
After sitting in the car for a long time, the Uber finally reached the destination and Diamond generously paid the driver for his double work. After all, not only did he drive her, but he also shared some information with her.
It was around nine when she arrived and looking at the bustling mall, she couldn't help but smile.
'Let's do this!' she cheered herself as she took her first step.
Being a beautiful woman wearing bright clothes could spell trouble and also be a catalyst for drawing attention.
With every step that she confidently took, Diamond, who seemed to be dressed simply and yet wearing branded clothes from top to bottom, drew so much attention from people.
At some time more than half a year ago, she couldn't even confidently remove her blouse when she was alone, for the skin rash was too much and was everywhere.
That same rash also made its way to her face, forcing her to wear masks wherever she went. She also stopped going places, for she was afraid of what people might think of her.
It was very easy to get bullied, even if it was due to an illness. She once went through something like that and it wasn't pretty.
It was something that made you feel very depressed to the point that you would wish that everything would just end.
She once prayed for it to end, but her family, their love for her, brought her to her senses.
So being able to freely walk like that without anything hindering her and with flawless skin, Diamond couldn't be any happier.
