Chapter 52 - CHAPTER 52

"What are we even doing here?" a young male asked aggrievedly as he looked at the older man who, despite being early in the morning, was draped in black. From head to toe, as if he was some serial killer on the run.

The older male looked at the young one before hitting his head with his knuckles and chided, "Weren't you the one that wanted to follow me when I wanted to come here?"

The young one looked at the older one and smiled sheepishly, "Brother Kian, hehe, I was just joking. Just forget everything I said, okay!" he said, pleading as he looked at the other.

Kian looked at the younger male whom he just couldn't get why he was so interested in following him when he didn't get along with his mother, especially.

"Charlie, does your mother know that you are with me?" Kian asked amusedly as he looked at the younger male.

Hearing about his mother, Charlie looked at Kian and pouted sulkily as if he were a child and responded truthfully, "I lied to her. She doesn't know and please don't tell her!" while pleading at the same time.

Kian looked at Charlie and began to wonder what Charlie thought of him. If he could talk to that woman, then his name would be reversed. That woman was simply too toxic and if Charlie wasn't his half-brother and a bug that just never gave up, he and his brother wouldn't have bothered with him at all.

But Charlie's persistence was one thing that the two of them failed to fight against. And since Charlie loved hanging around, they decided to let him be but also not expose themselves. After all, he might be a spy sent by his mother and he didn't want to be taken back by something like that.

Although nothing had been found lately, he was still wary. However, at times like these, Charlie was a good candidate to do some little spying with, or should he say, close monitoring.

And that was something that he was planning on doing secretly, without alarming the other.

"Don't worry. Even if we were to get close, it wouldn't be to that extent. Since you are here, then shop with me obediently and stop causing a ruckus," Kian warned Charlie.

Seeing his older brother turning into the Kian he didn't want to see, Charlie immediately began to pacify the other, "Don't worry, brother. I will behave and shop obediently," although he still didn't understand why they had to get on a plane two days before to come to Srad and go shopping today.

There were so many cities out there, and yet Kian just had to pick Srad of all cities. Was that the perks of being a shut-in or a genius?

Did they have these special boxes they needed to tick first before choosing a place to visit and then shop?

The money spent on transport and accommodation was way more expensive than the ones on clothes. Why did he get so sticky that he just had to tag along on a trip that didn't even make sense?

Charlie was regretting it so bad but it was already too late for anything like that.

Standing in the biggest shopping mall in Srad, Thunder Bloom Mall, Charlie began to sort out his life.

While Charlie was being like that, Kian, on the other hand, was feeling anxious and nervous. Especially fully knowing that the person he was stalking and had been stalking from the first day he saw the other was currently inside the mall.

It's been months since he saw her in person. As someone who was busy and introverted and loved being indoors, he couldn't find time to look for the other.

The other didn't even know that he existed but that didn't matter to him, just seeing her smiling was enough for him.

Whenever she frowned, he would wonder what was wrong and if she had met any difficulties. But that wouldn't be the case.

And after a lot of thinking and planning, he finally managed to do what he was currently doing.

Although he was a bit stooping low in his actions, he wasn't like his brother who was very good at expressing his feelings, especially to those of the opposite gender.

Despite having the same face since they were identical twins, Kian was the shy one while his twin brother was the bold one.

So, despite his great love for the woman he was stalking, he just couldn't find it in his heart to approach her properly, but could only cowardly do that.

After putting some sense into Charlie's head, the two of them began to walk into the mall.

And at that moment, he wasn't quite sure where she was, which was a bother. If he hadn't used the means to find out about where she was going, he wouldn't have known anything regarding her.

Whoever was protecting her was that good. He couldn't even get past her firewalls, for they were like layers of unending walls.

And apart from the public knowledge that most people would find boring, Kian didn't know how to get close to her.

But with great wisdom, he found a way. Although it wasn't the best method, but as long as it got him what he wanted, he was all in.

As he walked into the mall thinking of where to find his woman, his ears suddenly overheard something very useful, at least to him.

"Damn! I have never been so jealous of another woman like that the way I am right now!" a woman with a caked face complained frustratingly as she talked with another woman with an exaggerated hairstyle that nearly drove him crazy looking at it.

"You don't say? I bet she went abroad and had some surgery. How can one be that beautiful and flawless like that?"

"Hmph, for the sake of snagging some rich men. These young women are really upping their game?"

"They are. Didn't you see how she just swiped her card in ***** without even flinching?"

"And that's one expensive shop! I wonder how many men she is sleeping with!"
