Chapter 53 - CHAPTER 53

That was all he needed to hear, to know where the person he was looking for was currently at.

Turning to look at the dazed Charlie, he tapped the other's shoulder and in a stern voice hidden behind the mask said, "We are going to the second floor."

Hearing that, Charlie, who was already crying for his life, inwardly just acknowledged and followed behind his older brother.

Kian was in a rush, as he didn't want to miss out on seeing the woman of his dreams.

Apart from knowing that she was going to Srad, he didn't even know where she was going to live. So, if he missed her now, he was going to be in big trouble.

It was already hard for him to find out about where she would be since she wasn't a person who loved updating her social media account.

It would be a pity and if he were to force it, he would be caught and make a bad impression.

The two men hurriedly made their way to the second floor using the elevator, since it was already ready on the ground floor when they arrived.

On the second floor of Thunder Bloom Mall, Diamond was enjoying her life. Who would have thought that there were so many clothes and good things to choose from?

Frin was definitely not comparable to Srad. She admitted it as she looked at the fancy jewelry, she had taken a liking to.

After buying several pieces of clothes in another shop worth thousands of Atharian dollars earlier, she came across a jewelry store and couldn't help but enter.

Diamond didn't lack jewelry, but the ones she owned were too expensive and scary to wear everywhere. She would need a few bodyguards before she could freely wear them without worrying about anything.

While other systems granted their hosts with super abilities and cultivation manuals, hers was a bit stingy in that part.

Although it had given her magical pills, it had never crossed that boundary to make her invincible.

As much as it pained her to think that, it also made her feel relieved, for she didn't want to live forever and witness her loved ones dying and leaving her by herself.

She didn't mind living a bit longer, but forever. That would raise questions.

However, why was the system so stingy that it couldn't even give her something to learn to defend herself in the future? Even a small weapon was good, but there was nothing like that for her.

And that was now forcing her to abandon her collection of goodies to buy the cheaper jewelry and things that she could wear without clutching her heart in her hand.

And there happened to be a variety to look at. Although she couldn't afford a pair of earrings from that shop if it was six months ago, she was now too rich that she could buy everything in one go.

However, humility was still required, no matter how itchy she was feeling to get prideful.

With a reunion to attend the following night, Diamond wanted to find a piece that she could wear but if it wasn't suitable later, she would pick something from her collection.

However, the problem was that there were too many good things that she couldn't set her mind on one thing.

She had been staring at a variety for a while now, and luckily no one pushed her. They were very accommodating and reasonable, and she knew that because these people had heard about her buying earlier.

Whoever has the gold is the king. In her situation, she was the one with the gold, thus the respect from the sales agents and envy from the buyers who probably couldn't afford as much as she could.

But for those who were as rich as her, there was nothing for them to watch except be curious about her identity.

As she pondered between buying a necklace with a tear-drop pendant, or one with a cross and sparkling diamonds, or one with some confusing designs, she still couldn't grasp what they were. Her over-sensitized senses began sending alarm bells.

When she had the saleswoman take out those three, she had been standing by herself for nearly ten minutes and no customers had bothered her in that moment and yet she could sense someone approaching her.

Who was that person? She was very curious, so she shifted her gaze from the necklaces towards the side that the person was coming from.

As she looked in that direction, she came face to face with a tall man wearing black, and yet something was charming about him.

Those forest green eyes seemed to be gazing straight into her soul, and she couldn't help but feel a tremble down her spine.

'Just who is this man?' she found herself pondering as he neared.

He was definitely much taller than her, something that she greatly acknowledged the more he came nearer her.

She used to be 1.65m before she got the system, but with a body upgrade, she grew five centimeters taller. Which brought her to 1.7m, a height she was very proud of, yet looking at the approaching man, whom she needed to stand on her tiptoes first and stretch her neck again just so that she could look at him closely, she felt like a dwarf and that feeling wasn't good.

She felt as if her height was being attacked, but looking at it from the other side, her heart couldn't help but race at the same time as well.

Weird and steamy thoughts flooded her mind as images of her, the short one making out with the taller one. The thought of him holding her by the waist and pulling her up so that their lips could meet. Her blood was racing.

How long had it been since she thought of a man in such a manner?

And why was she even having such thoughts when all she saw from the man were his eyes, height, and good physique, his clothes failed to hide?

Was he ugly or handsome, she didn't even know, and yet she was already daydreaming.

'Is it because I haven't been laid for a long time that I am starting to drool for every single Tom that I see?' she felt very conflicted as she thought of this.

However, that thought was soon thrown out of the window as the man suddenly removed the mask, he was wearing upon coming to a halt in front of her. Just a short distance away from her.

Looking at that face, Diamond knew that she was a goner. And when he opened his mouth, his baritone voice came out as he asked, "How about I help you?"

She knew at that moment that she was doomed, and there was no way back for her.
