Chapter 56 - CHAPTER 56

"I am not sure but last time I went, some classmates brought their partners with them," she answered for she was one of them who did that and got humiliated so badly she regretted it.

Listening to that, his eyes brightened up, but didn't say anything, for he felt that it was a bit too early for him to suggest anything. However, Diamond's thoughts were saying otherwise.

"Hmm, why were you asking?" she asked teasingly as she peered at the man before continuing, "Do you want to accompany me, somehow?"

"Cough," Kian, who wasn't expecting Diamond to be that straightforward, couldn't help but get choked.

Diamond, seeing him reacting that way, found herself laughing at the man. With her lips curving and eyes narrowing as she did so, she looked absolutely enthralling.

It was as if a halo was covering her and the sight was just that beautiful to look at.

He wasn't the only one affected by that, for several people were looking at her, unsure of how to proceed or how to act.

And for the quick thinkers who knew how fame worked, had their phones out, recording the scene faithfully and looking forward to the second they would see their follower count rising rapidly because of the video they were taking.

Diamond had no idea about this, as she was just enjoying the moment and not thinking about anything else. For it was rare for her to just enjoy herself the way she was.

She had been stressing herself over the reunion issue, but now with Kian's presence; she was no longer as depressed as before.

"Oh, are you not going to answer that?" she asked teasingly again, seeing how she had managed to get one on Kian.

Kian cleared his throat with a flushed face as he pulled himself out of the enchanting that Diamond had pulled him into.

"Hmm… If you can do that, I don't mind tagging along. I don't know many people in Srad and wouldn't mind spending some time with you," Kian said as he looked at her with seriousness in his eyes.

Hearing that, Diamond's eyes lit up as that answer was something that she wanted to hear, especially after being reminded that she could bring someone to the reunion.

And with Kian's looks, she didn't need to worry about those ugly faces gaining something on her.

So in response to what he just said, she looked at him as she continued to walk and answered, "If you are free then you are welcome ….. I wouldn't mind having someone like you ...… escorting me," she drawled on her words sounding flirtatious in the process.

Kian covered his mouth with his fist, doing his best to hide that smug smile that was appearing on his face.

"Then it will be an honor, my lady," the words stiffly came out, making Diamond want to tease him once again.

With someone helping her, Diamond found her day to be going so well that she did more shopping and had Kian hold the bags.

Somewhere around lunch, the two of them found themselves sitting in another restaurant and the second time, the two were much more comfortable with each other than that they no longer looked as if they met for the first time.

The meal went very well, and Kian didn't want the day to end.

However, every good day should always come to an end, and Diamond needed to return home to prepare for the next day's reunion party.

When Kian finally registered that she was about to leave, he didn't feel so good, but he had always known that sooner or later, she would be leaving.

So, with a reluctant heart, he still escorted her into the Uber she had booked. And he regretted not booking a car after seeing her going like that.

He watched the Uber leaving as he remained standing throughout the process, 'I am missing her already!'

He couldn't help but muse as he thought of that.

After sending her away, he needed to return to the hotel, and, thinking about that, he was suddenly reminded of someone he hadn't seen for hours.

Where was Charlie?

Thinking about this half-brother of his that disappeared sometime in the morning. Just where was he?

Getting worried about him and guilty about how he forgot about him because of a woman, Kian took out his phone to make a call.

However, just as he was swiping the screen to unlock, a barrage of messages flooded his screen.

Seeing Charlie's name mostly on the screen, he tapped into the inbox and began to read the messages.

And the more he read, the angrier he got.

Standing at a distance and looking at his older brother, who had managed to get successfully carried away by one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen, Charlie couldn't help but be curious about his brother.

What happened to the shopping?

One second, he went away for a call and the next, his brother was busy playing the role of a shopper standing and guarding a beauty.

Seeing how serious he was, Charlie couldn't find it in his heart to disturb him, so he silently followed and looked from afar.

And that was an action that he greatly regretted for the dog food he was fed the most of the day was enough for him to stay away from a girl for a while.

However, seeing his shut-in and introverted brother being interested in a woman, Charlie felt intrigued as he looked at the beauty that had made that happen.

It wasn't that Kian wasn't attractive. He was very attractive, and most ladies in Belmore would flock over him and his twin brothers.

However, Kian never showed any courtesy towards the female gender and was always cold, unlike his twin brother, who caused trouble wherever he was despite his age.

So finally seeing someone that made Kian willing to act like a guide and do everything he had witnessed him doing, Charlie knew that his half-brother was a goner.

And being the first person to see that, he felt honored and couldn't help but want to start trouble.

Thinking of how that person was ignoring, he felt that doing that was the best solution for at least; he was going to get the other's attention.

So, while taking a double glance at Kian, who seemed furious with the way his eyes were narrowed dangerously, Charlie took out his phone, scrolled through the contacts, and dialed a number he last called a week ago.

'Dear brother, I hope you will be ready for the missile I am about to send to you!' he thought slyly, as the phone started ringing.
