She first saw the Angel XI her sister was driving, as a girl who dreamt of a better life. She kept up with the news and most celebrities she had seen on TV; drove these luxurious cars.
Who didn't know about the Angel cars in Athary? They were the best and also expensive. To think that her sister was lying so low when she came home, she just couldn't believe it.
On the way, Diamond was a chatterbox. She was busy telling her sister about the city and Ruby quickly got entranced and forgot about the car issue.
However, she woke up to reality again when she saw the villa complex her sister drove into. Because she wasn't a Frin native, she didn't know much about Cherry Court being one of the top five villa complexes with the most expensive villas in the whole city.
If she had known, she would have fainted from shock.
When she saw the villa her sister was living in, she was all teary, and, in her heart, she placed her sister at the top of the list of people she admired the most.
'Why should I idolize another person when my sister is so OP?'
Diamond had no idea about Ruby's internal struggle. All she knew was that she had to show her little sister around so that she would be comfortable at home.
Janet didn't go on leave, so she was home. Ruby was happy to see that someone was living with her sister in such a big house, otherwise, she would feel bad about how lonely Dee would be if she were alone.
As the third floor only has the master bedroom, Ruby couldn't sleep there, so she had to sleep on the second floor and take over the biggest bedroom she saw there.
Before she could finish showing Ruby around, Diamond received a call from Cindy, so she had to leave Ruby by herself.
With her elder sister gone, Ruby began to explore the room she had picked, and she completely fell head over heels with it.
It was fully furnished, and the double-sized bed with expensive bedsheets fully greeted her. She couldn't help but test its comfiness and the bed was bouncy and very good.
It was even much better than the bed in the Taco's villa. The bedroom not only had a bed but has a closet, although it wasn't a walk-in like her elder sister's. The closet was still too big and it would take a long time to fill it.
There was a sleeping couch in the bedroom, a TV, a desk, and a chair to use if needed. There was also a bathroom ensuite, so there was no need for her to share her toilet with anyone.
The room was perfect, and she completely loved it. After settling her suitcase in her room, she left the room and decided to check the third floor where her sister was living.
Although she had not fully explored the third floor, she could see its luxuriousness.
'It's truly the boss's floor. One day, I will have mine like this!' she vowed as she took a look at the place.
She was looking for her sister and luckily it didn't take long before she heard a voice coming from the other side. After going in that direction, she realized that her sister was currently in her studies.
She knocked lightly, and Diamond allowed her to enter.
As an obedient kid, Ruby didn't cause a ruckus and simply explored quietly as she looked at her sister tapping on her computer while she communicated with whoever was on the phone.
During her exploration, she found several certificates that made her look at her sister with amazement.
'My sister is a good person!'
This was what she thought, seeing how her sister owned a charity foundation. She just wondered why her sister didn't say anything to them regarding this and remained low-key.
After ten minutes, Diamond was done and Ruby was currently reading a book she took from the shelves and was entranced by it.
"I am done. Let me show you the rest of the floor," Diamond suggested as she looked at Ruby.
Ruby beamed at her sister as she raised her head and asked, "Can I still come and take books from the study?"
"Yes, you can, but you are not allowed to stay here for long. There is a library. You have seen it and you can spend your time there."
"Okay, as long as I get to take some books from here, then I am cool," Ruby had her reasons.
She had seen the books in the library, but somehow; she thought that the books in her sister's library were more meaningful than those.
Diamond chuckled and led her sister to her bedroom. When Ruby saw the master bedroom, she felt as if her worldview point was absolutely wrong.
"Big sis, is this normal?" Ruby asked, her mouth wide open, and the shock was visible in her eyes.
"You haven't seen anything yet. You will get numb to this," Diamond said calmly as she had already gotten used to seeing this.
"Ha ha ha, I definitely need to show off in the future!" Ruby felt very proud as she said this.
Diamond showed Ruby her room but didn't expose the hidden closet. As a sister, she should at least keep a few secrets.
After checking everything, the sisters went downstairs to take a rest as they waited for Janet to prepare lunch.
"Big sister, how did you manage all of this?" Ruby wasn't like Diamond's employees, who wouldn't ask questions. She was a sibling and felt like she had a right to know.
"Your sister is dabbling in stocks right now and ............….."
Ruby also knew about trading stocks and forex, so she completely believed in her sister when she told her about all of this.
And knowing how her sister was able to take out precious pills last time. If she sells them, won't she be able to earn a lot of money?
Diamond was glad that her curious sister had been appeased and when they ate lunch, another fan of chicken emerged as well.
The sisters spent time together, and they discussed Ruby's future and her three months in Frin before University life started.
Results were going to come out in two weeks and then they will start applying for college after that.
So, for high school graduates, they can earn money for three months before they start school.
That was if they wanted to enroll in the February intake, but those who wanted the August intake still had more months to prepare.
