"Big sister, you said that you own two businesses, the farm, and the foundation. I want to go to the foundation. You don't have to pay me, I can just intern for free," Ruby's eyes lit up when she thought of the foundation.
"Is this you trying to run away from hard work?" Diamond asked teasingly, seeing how her little sister completely rejected joining DIAMOND FARM.
"Ha, it isn't like that at all, but I believe that I can learn a lot if I go to the foundation, that's all," Ruby reasoned.
"Okay, if you insist, then I will send you there, but remember that I won't favor you just because you are my sister. You join the public relations department. There is only one person there at the moment," Diamond acceded to her younger sister's choice.
Ruby was so happy that she hugged her big sister before mooching her, "Thank you, sis."
"Okay, just do your job well. I will pay you a monthly salary of A$1,000 which is already a lot for an intern. Remember that on some days I won't be going to work, so you need to solve the transport issue yourself!"
Ruby frowned upon hearing that but after thinking for a while, she suddenly smiled slyly, "Big sister, if I pass, buy me a car. I will be studying here in the future and your house is very far, so pretty please!"
Diamond didn't think that Ruby would think that fast, but she still nodded her head and accepted, "Fine, I will buy you one when the results are out but you deal with your own vehicle expenses. I will not participate."
Ruby smiled happily upon hearing that, "trust me, I will deal with it."
"That's good then."
Ruby was very excited; she didn't hide it even when they having lunch. Diamond, who had been taken advantage of, could only smile helplessly, 'If I don't pamper her, who else will?'
The girls called their parents and were glad to hear that they were doing okay and enjoying themselves.
The next day, Diamond brought Ruby to the foundation, left her in the public relations department, and left stern instructions to them.
Ruby was eager to learn, so she didn't dare cause trouble for anyone.
Diamond checked with all departments first in the morning and after the tea break, she went to check the second floor, only to be welcomed by an empty office.
"It seems like the girls are very busy," she sighed as she recalled the irritating message notifications from the bank about the transfer of payments done, "but it's very good as there is no need to store the chickens for much longer."
Diamond then went to check the third floor; the offices were all done with furniture in place. All that was left were employees and computers.
The renovators were currently working on the fourth floor, which was going to be the hardest of them all as they would be removing the other walls and opening the space up. A kitchen had to be added, as this floor would become a cafeteria.
The guys were working so hard, she couldn't help but cheer them on. After checking everything, it was already lunch and Diamond joined her employees and bought lunch for them.
She also took this opportunity to introduce formally Ruby to the rest of the workforce.
Days quickly flew by and during these past few days, a new project had come up and it was an emergency one. Because of building the school, they had stopped looking at other projects, as money was an issue.
But now the two million that was in the account had doubled thanks to A's trading skills. However, this didn't give them the freedom to just pick a new case when the old one wasn't done.
It's just that this one was quite special, the public relations department suddenly received dire messages from one of the DIAMOND OF HOPE page's fans about another fan who suddenly got in an accident but because the fan couldn't afford the treatment, there has been a delay in the treatment and life was at risk.
This news wasn't anything good, so Diamond received a report and the full details regarding the twenty-year-old lady who also donated around A$200 before.
In the end, doing a good deed was what was required of her, so she allowed the accountants to withdraw the money that was needed for this.
No reporters were called when Diamond and three of her employees left for the hospital. They all used the SUV for the foundation, which had the DIAMOND OF HOPE brand on the car's body.
So, whoever saw the car automatically would know that it belonged to the foundation, although they knew nothing about this foundation.
When they arrived at the hospital, it was around nine in the morning. The public relations head had spoken to the girl's family regarding their visit, so the others were already waiting for them.
When they arrived, Diamond had no idea that a friend of the girl who was admitted to the hospital was recording the whole process, but even if she knew, it wouldn't change anything.
They greeted each other warmly before going to the doctor's office, where Diamond received full information regarding the girl's condition. It was quite a pity, but the doctors were very good at their job and she believed that the girl who was named Faith would make it out alive after the operation.
The operation fees that were needed by the hospital were A$50,000 and another A$50,000 for post-operation services, admission fees, and so on.
Diamond paid for the full fees of A$100,000 and signed the documents that were handed over to her, and as soon as they were done, Faith was taken to the theatre.
As they waited for the operation to end successfully, Faith's mother, who was roughly fifty years of age, couldn't stop crying and bowing her head gratefully at her, "Thank you very much. May you be blessed!"
Diamond felt bad seeing how the woman was acting towards her so she helped her stop her bowing and softly told her, "I should be thanking you for raising such a wonderful child. You don't know how good she is. Our foundation is newly established and still, your daughter trusted us and donated money for the school project that we are doing. It's because of kindred spirits like your daughter that we are here and she wouldn't be here if it weren't for you. So please, unless it's necessary, don't just bow to anyone and thank you for the blessings."
"Your daughter will be more blessed and she will come out strong. If there ........"
