Chapter 16 - CHAPTER 16

Diamond agreed with Cain on this matter and decided to bring a second batch soon. There were only around three weeks before the first batch would be ready for slaughter, so time was of great essence.

Cecilia had agreed to help her with the chickens by buying them and advertising them to other people.

But she wouldn't just rely on one person. She wanted to have her own channel, and this meant that she should get busy.

Diamond knew some people, actually, and everyone lived downtown where she used to live.

as long as she makes use of that, she won't have any problems selling anything in the future.

Diamond shut herself inside her study and began to create her first business page. The page was named DIAMOND FARM, and it was mainly concerned with farming, produce, and everything.

She decided to use this page as a marketing tool. She was going to advertise everything that she would be selling from the farm on this page. It was the internet era; technology was ruling and there was no fault with her trying something like this.

After settling the DIAMOND FARM page, she went to create another page, DIAMOND OF HOPE, for the charity foundation. Not everyone could have access to the website as they needed internet or Wi-Fi to access it, but an Ioniq page was very different, one just needed a social voucher for it and the voucher was also very cheap and affordable.

While waiting for the interviews and offices to be ready, she decided to solve another urgent problem she was currently facing. She needed money and recently she hasn't received any monetary rewards, but as someone with a lot of things that could be sold; she wasn't panicking.

She went through her private safe where she picked two gold bars, a king green jade, the size of a golf ball. And stored everything in her storage ring, one of the treasures she received from the signing-in rewards.

Diamond had seven gold bars in total and one gold bar weighing 500g was currently being sold for A$300,000, which was a bit low since the prices had dropped recently.

She couldn't control the economy of any country. And if she wasn't desperate at that moment, she wouldn't even bother selling it.

The fastest way to sell this gold was to go to the black market, but luckily, she was someone who did everything above board. All her gold wasn't hot, so she wasn't afraid of selling them at the bank.

So, she drove to her bank, where she was actually thinking of upgrading her account as the maximum limit on it was just too low for her.

When she arrived and stated her business, she wasn't taken lightly and was kindly escorted to the manager's office, where she took out the two gold bars from her handbag.

She also discussed about her account, and the manager was very happy to help. She was with the manager for over an hour and she left the bank with a smile on her face.

She managed to sell the god bars at a better price and earned one million instead of six hundred thousand. Apparently, her gold was very pure and different from others, so the price was different.

Her account also upgraded to a platinum account and the limit also increased, which was a huge relief to her. This one million was just a small drop in the ocean and she needed a lot of money, so her next stop was a jewelry store.

It was shops like these that would accept gemstones, crystals, and jade needed in the jewelry-making process. Of course, she could sell the jade to some fanatics, but she didn't have any connections, so she was left with no choice but to hunt for stores like these.

Diamond tried her luck but failed three times in total, which was a huge disappointment and when she thought that all hope had been lost, a gentleman in his fifties suddenly struck up a conversation with her.

At first, she wanted to ignore the other, but seeing that the other carried a businessman aura; she decided to entertain him. This was how she managed to find a customer for her jade and a future buyer of many things, too.

The jade was bought by that man for twenty million; she was practically shocked when the man kept on increasing the price on his own when she remained quiet.

It wasn't that she wanted to hike the prices, but she was simply too shocked by what was happening, that she was in a trance, like that.

The man transferred the money to her bank account and when the man was gone and she was in her car; she shed tears of joy.

The money was enough to renovate the whole office building and for her to partake in several projects, too.

With money on hand, she met again with the interior designer and discussed her plans for the underground floor. Diamond wanted the underground floor to be used as a freezer of some sort. The space there wasn't huge as most of the space was taken by the parking.

Another quotation was made, and she paid in full for both jobs.

Time quickly flew again, and it was time to check with the employment agency regarding the posts that she wanted to be filled.

As she was currently looking for people for the charity foundation, she was looking for IT specialists, accountants, counselors, public relations officers, assistants, and a receptionist.

Of course, there were other people like those who would go into the field to help whoever would be receiving help at that time. And there were so many people looking for jobs, so she wasn't worried much.

Diamond spent hours receiving several resumes. She accepted some and rejected some. At the moment, having at least one of each was enough, but to avoid trouble, she accepted several people and she communicated about the date of the interview.

The interview was going to be held in two days. And during the days when she was free, she booked another batch of chicks and some off-layers for more eggs in the future.

The date for the interviews finally arrived, and she held them at a conference hall that she hired for the day. And on that day, she nearly had a headache since the people needed to be interviewed were too many, but all the suffering she went through was worth it.

At the end of the day, Diamond had a clear picture of the people that she needed for her first batch of employees.

This wasn't something she was taking lightly. After all, it involved her heavenly system's ability to remain with her.
