Chapter 17 - Zubair become ill.

Except the leader of the looters, all the prisoners were transferred to Dilip Singh's ship. After that, the ships again departed.

Zubair urged Dilip Singh not to ill-treat him

until his punishment was decided.

Jairam chose to stay on Zubair's ship in view of his sister's illness.

Khalid delivered Maya Devi to Naheed.

Naheed laid him on the bed, and the Arab women gathered around him.

In the first meeting between the hosts and the guests, there was only an exchange of sympathies between the hosts and the army. Before leaving for his ship,

Dilip Singh said to Jairam,

You may have indigestion.

I have not been able to live with Muslims for a period of time.We all eat at the same table. There is no one among all the people with me who has not eaten with the Muslims. However, I have a man, who will prepare food for you both and your host will not force you to sit at your table against your will.

Dilip Singh explained a few things to Zubair and alighted and went to his ship.

Before his arrival, his companions had shaved their heads and beards, mustaches and eyebrows with their rags.

A bandit who looked older than his appearance. Only one half of his beard was done.

Naheed and other Arab women treated Maya Devi wholeheartedly.

Naheed had brought some herbs from Sarandeep with her for the seasonal fever.

By using them, Maya Devi was cured in four days.

Zubair did not care about the wound on his arm at first, but due to the humid air, the wound became pus for three days.

Due to the severity of the pain and fever, he had to lie in bed for a few days.

Dilip Singh left his ship many times to take care of her.

Ali, Khalid,Hashim, Naheed and other Arab women kept her informed about her condition.

Jairam always sat by her side.

Maya Devi had understood the intelligence of a woman due to which Naheed was depressed and worried. She used to see Zubair in the presence of her brother and came back and memorized the poems and broken words of Arabic in which she lived day and night in the form of Arab women.

She would comfort Naheed.

One evening, Zubair's condition was a bit bad. Dilip Singh came and left after applying ointment.

After doing or went.

At night it was cloudy and the wind was strong.

The sailors were assigned to their respective places

Jairam was taking care of Khalid Ali and Zubair.

The Arab women got up for the prayer and Maya Devi went to ask her brother about Zubair's condition.

When Naheed finished the prayer, she was praying for Zubair's health.

Khalid came and told that Zubair is unconscious.

An elderly woman said that all your men are busy because of blindness,we must go to them.

All the women got up and approached Zubair.

Maya Devi saw him and pointed to her brother, and he got up and went out.

As soon as he got out, he lay down in a corner of the plane and fell asleep.

By midnight, Zubair's fever subsided and the rest of the women, except Naheed and Maya Devi, went to their rooms.

Khalid and Ali lay down.

Zubair opened his eyes at the third hour of the night, and seeing Maya Devi and Naheed in the light of the candle, asked,

you here?

Go rest.

Naheed's withered face shone with happiness and he asked, how is your health now?

Zubair said,

Now there is something better.

Give me water.

Maya Devi got up and filled a bowl of water and gave it to Naheed.

Naheed reluctantly lifted Zubair with one hand and put the water bowl to his lips with the other hand.

After drinking water, Zubair rested his head and said to Naheed, his brother suffered a lot for me.

Where is he now?"

"He's sleeping outside."

You too go to sleep, I am at rest now.

Dilip Singh's new ointment has helped me a lot.

After a few days, Zubair was able to walk.

The morals of the Arabs had greatly influenced Jairam. Zubair had reached the extremes of devotion and love for her.

He had gained a lot of familiarity with Zubair about the latest conditions in Arabia. The imagination of human equality in the new religion of the Arabs worried him a lot at the beginning, but he was quickly convinced by Zubair's preaching that it would be established throughout the world. For peace, it is necessary for all nations to accept a religion that gives equal rights to every human being and recognizes all human beings not by color, blood and race but by actions. In the beginning, he abstained from the untouchability of Muslims in the matter of food and drink. But after staying in the company of Zubair for a few days,he began to see the distinction between untouchability and touchability as absurd.

And one day he sat down at the table without consulting his sister.

There was a religious revolution in Maya Devi even before her brother and the reason for this revolution was not that she was familiar with the teaching of Islam like her brother, but it was because of the morals of the Arabs, which made the brave Rajput girl.

He did not let it be felt that he was at the mercy of the people of a foreign nation.

The Muslim sailors would look at him and turn a blind eye.

On the very first day, she began to feel that their eyes were no different from her brother's eyes.

Naheed's grooming also impressed him a lot. Most of all, she was impressed by Khalid's behavior.

I don't know why his eyes were restless to see him and his ears to hear, his voice and he didn't have the courage to raise his eyes when he came forward.

He would turn his back carelessly and she would listen to his heartbeat for a long time.

Sometimes, he was troubled by various thoughts and scolded himself.

At night, instead of being in awe of a boy of his age, he slept with the intention of looking at him with hatred, contempt and indifference, but after the morning call to prayer, when the Arabs stood up for prayer.

With these intentions, she would go to the deck and stand aside and try to be entertained by the waves of the raging sea, but she would get annoyed and look at the worshipers. Unconsciously, her eyes would focus on Khalid.

Because of Khalid, he liked the bowing and prostration of other worshipers.

Seeing Khalid's hands raised after the prayer, the method of raising his hands from the ground and asking for dua was charming.

His first interest in Islam was because it was Khalid's religion.

She tried to learn Arabic even though it was Khalid's language.
