Chereads / Prince Noah: Mage with Infinite Mana / Chapter 5 - Creating a pond

Chapter 5 - Creating a pond

Noah returned to his mansion and had his breakfast. The maid was worried if Noah would dislike the meal. But, Noah neither complained nor praised the food.

He returned to his room. He skimped through the shelves and found some books on earth magic and life magic.

"Earth magic aligns with earth. With earth magic, one could control the soil and stones. Changing terrain and making mountains from the plane land would also be possible.

The pattern for the basics of this magic is simple. Controlling the earth to some extent is simple. The man has to be turned into two hundred lines per branch. The branches have to be in the shape of a circle. The circular branches of the mana should align perfectly with the small circle. After forming ten small circles, the big circles should be formed. All these circles must be rotated simultaneously, and mana rays should penetrate the ground. If it forms a connection with the mana circle, the caster would feel a ringing sensation in the brain. And, one could control the earth to a certain extent. The control would depend on the level of the caster..."

As Noah read the content, he gained confidence. While he may need some time to get used to casting that spell, he was sure he wouldn't fail to cast it.

After that, he walked to the end of the town. There were many useless barren lands.

"I should learn some movement spells." He complained while walking.

After reaching the empty barren lands where one could open more than 1000 football stadiums, he raised his both hand in the sky like trying to hug the sun.

"Earth Connection"

He muttered the spell name and circulated the mana inside his body. The mana gushed out from his skin's pore and created a magic circle.

The lines of the mana needed to be fixed by himself. It's not like it will automatically be aligned the first time one cast.

One needs to continue casting a spell to get used to the formation of the lines so that one could form those lines subconsciously.

He poured mana decisively, unlike previously when he poured it openly.

The mana slowly took the form of straight lines. The straight lines curved down and joined together. The collection of small two-hundred lines took the shape of a circle. The circle was a branch, and these so-called branches formed more than 3. A total of t4 circular branches were formed, and a transparent circle formed around the small circular branches.

The big circle had its own set of invisible mana lines, but it was created automatically unlike branches. It is the universal mana line.

These big circle mana lines are invisible and act automatically. They are like save files. Under this save are the necessary files, and other necessary content should be created which are branches.

After the formation of the magic circle, it glowed dimly.

All the branches rotated around, and rays of mana generated from the rotating branches and fixed at the center of the big circle.

The fixed mana zoomed to the ground and like a beam of light, it continuously penetrated the ground.

As the mana stopped pouring on the ground, there was a faint glow in the huge part of the land, and Noah's hand glowed.

A sense of connection formed, Noah felt like touching a slime. He could make the slime rise, flatten or give whatever shape he wanted to.

With some tweaking, he moved the terrain at his will.

He tried making a crater on the ground. The ground shrank down, and a pit formed. The hole spread and became huge, while the pit became deeper and deeper.

After being satisfied with the creation, Noah stopped.

The connection disappeared as mana stopped flowing out.

Noah then cast a water spell.

First, he cast a single water spell, the water appeared from the magic circle and started filling the great pit.

But, it was too less. If only one magic circle poured water, then it will be like trying to form an ocean from continuous drops of water.

Of course, it is possible to form an ocean from drops of water, but the water it would take would surpass millions.

So, he cast more than a thousand magic circles. The process was simple, and a single water circle took less than a minute to form.

So, he nearly spent 10 hours, the sun started going down, and the bright sky turned red. More than 1200 water circles were continuously pouring water down the crater.

They were raining the water with much force to their limit. A single magic circle could fill 10,000 liters of the water tank in a single second, so, the thousands of water circles were filling 100,000 to 120,000 liters of water per second.

Of course, the creation of water isn't hard, but the mana it consumed wasn't also less. One could easily cast a magic circle and fill up to 1000 liters. A tenth-tier mage may fill 100,000 liters or less, but Noah was pouring a tenth-tier mage's man per second.

The amount of mana it was being consumed was too much than one could imagine.

After the sky completely turned dark, and stars with moons illuminated the sky, Noah stopped the task.

It's not like he couldn't leave the place and left the magic circle completing their task. But, there would be more problems than one could imagine.

The flow of mana would be disrupted and the mana had to travel for that. Mana couldn't teleport by itself.

Not to mention, how much mana could scatter into the air and just change the surrounding. The change made my mana won't be beneficial, but it would be worse.

Mana is known for their tendency to create elements. Mana mix with other elements to give birth to new stuff.

So, mana could mix with sand and form a completely different thing than one could imagine. It could even create a sand monster. Mana could also give birth to live. There are many examples of it in the world.

Noah looked at the pond. It was huge, his eyes couldn't even see the end of the pond. At least, the pond could cover 200,000 square kilometers. So, if anyone wanted to cross this pond, it would take more than a week with normal means.

"This is good." Noah was satisfied. Despite being dark, he could see the pond being illuminated by the bright moon.

It was simply beautiful. It only lacked the twinkling fireflies, or the pond would be beautiful beyond words.

He returned to the manor, late at night.

The maids and butlers were worried, but not much. Since it was just a master-servant relationship, they won't even care if their master died.

But, they would be worried if they would lose their jobs, or be punished for not looking after their master.

"Lord...Should I bring you the dinner?" The maid asked. She couldn't possibly ask why he was later, right? She couldn't cross the boundary. They couldn't ask a single question even if he came home later, bring someone, or even come inside with a dead body. They should just mind their business, not poke at other businesses if they love their life.

Since, it would be just courting death, if they tried to mind their master business.

Noah thought for a moment. He was indeed hungry, but he was also tired.

He had spent the entire day sitting on the sand and looking at the formation of the pond.

After contemplating a bit, he slightly nodded.

"Ok, bring the dinner to my room."

"Ok, lord." The maid bowed deeply and left for the kitchen.

Noah lay on the bed. A sense of excitement built inside his chest.

"My mana...is indeed huge."

He didn't know if it was infinite, and he couldn't just say it directly. He didn't have any proof, since, the mana he had may even exhaust after a long period of time.

It could exhaust after a million or even after a billion if he lived that much. And, his mana production should match the amount of mana he used.

If not, it would be just one-sided spending. And he didn't even mediate or other stuff to absorb mana. So, he didn't know what to make of his mana.

He again entered the sea of mana and took a dive on the mana ocean.

His eyes widen, and he couldn't describe the feeling.

The ocean looked deep.

Noah gave up exploring the ocean after ten minutes. He was tired and exhausted. And the blue ocean looked deep as far as his eyes could see.

After pulling out his consciousness, the maid knocked on the door and delivered the food. He ate the food and slept like a baby till morning.

The next day, the whole town was in commotion.

"A pond magically appeared in this barren cursed land!"
