Kon stayed locked in the room for the entire day.
The devil left after he dropped the bombshell, and since then, Kon hasn't seen him.
“Are you awake?”
The door to the room opened, and the devil stepped in.
He was dressed in a plain shirt, and blue slacks, as if he intended to go out.
“Why shouldn't I be?” Kon narrowed his eyes at him.
“It's time for dinner, Kon.”
“I would rather not eat,” Kon sneered.
“Why?” The devil walked over to Kon, with a bunch of keys dangling in his hand.
“I'm not hungry.”
“Don't say that. You've not eaten a thing since you were brought here.”
The devil unlocked Kon from the chains holding him to the bed.
He started from the ones binding his legs until he got to the ones holding his hands.
Kon watched him as he did so, without saying a word.
“Now, it's time for—”
Kon kicked the devil on his stomach and rose from the bed. He didn't glance at the doubled-over devil before he headed to the door.
“Not too fast,” the devil caught him by his shirt and threw him on the bed.
“Let go of me!” Kon tried to kick the devil, but he caught both legs between his thighs.
“Do you think you can fight me, boy?” He locked Kon's hands over his head and leaned in until his breath fanned Kon's face.
“Let me go, you beast!” Kon struggled in the Devil's hold.
“Beast?” The Devil smirked. “You will know what a beast I am.” He said before he roughly kissed Kon.
Kon tightly closed his mouth as he struggled, not only from fear but disgust.
The devil had to bite how Lower lip to get him to open up, and when he did, he slipped his tongue into Kon's mouth.
Struggling, Kon bit the devil's tongue.
“Fuck!”
The devil screamed.
He used one hand to hold Kon's hands over his head, while he used his free hands, to tightly grasp Kon's chin.
“I'm not a patient man. Don't take my actions for kindness, boy. If I want someone, I must have them.” He said, tightening his grip on Kon's chin.
Kon kept a straight face despite the pain. He wasn't about to show the devil how much pain he was in at the moment.
The devil leaned down, aiming to kiss Kon once more, but Kon spat on his face.
“Don't you dare, touch—”
The sound of the slap resounded in the otherwise silent room, as the devil's palm made a collision with Kon's cheeks.
“As I said, I'm not a patient man.” The devil sneered at him.
Kon sniffed, but didn't show the pain in his eyes.
With cold eyes, he locked them with the devil. “I'm not going to allow you to treat me this way. I rather die than have another man touch me!”
“Then, you will die soon.” The devil said, with a glint in his eyes.
The idea of a challenge excited him.
*******
Kon sat on the chair, with his hands joined, and his gaze focused solely on them.
“Eat your food, Kon.” The devil said for the fourth time since he brought Kon to the dining.
“I'm not hungry,” Kon said without looking up.
“You must be hungry.” The devil rose from the chair he was sitting on and approached Kon.
“Eat your food, now!” He growled in anger.
“And I said I'm not eating it! You can't force me to do what I don't want to! I'm not eating the food, and that's final!” Kon rose from the chair he was sitting
on, and met the devil head-on.
He balled his hands into fists, aching to connect them to the devil's cheeks.
“Do you think you have a choice?” He narrowed his eyes into slits. “You will eat this food, now!”
“No, I'm not!”
The devil held on to his chin and drew him nearer. “You will eat your food, else I will find your friend. And when I do that, I will make sure to cut him limb by limb in your presence.”
“No, don't do that!” Kon's eyes got so large, it were like saucers. “I will do anything you want. I will eat the food, but please don't touch Lin.”
“Like I figured,” the devil angrily let go of his hold on Kon's cheeks.
He got what he wanted, but he wasn't happy about that.
All it took to get Kon to comport himself was the mention of his friend.
It infuriated the devil.
Kon sat back on his chair and took up the fork.
The food in front of him looked yummy, but it was unfamiliar.
Kon has never seen food like this.
“That's my family's special recipe,” the devil said when he noticed Kon's furrowed brows.
Kon didn't say a word.
He slowly scooped the yellow thing up with his fork and ate it.
The food tasted bland in his mouth, but he managed to eat as much as he could.
Tears streamed down his face as he ate.
The Devil watched him eat.
He knew he should feel happy that Kon was eating, but instead, he felt the opposite of that.
Seeing Kon cry, tugged on the heart he doesn't even have.
“If you don't want to eat, you don't have to force yourself.” The devil rose from the table, “let's go.”
He walked over to where Kon was and took him up by the arm.
“I'm not through with eating.” Kon stubbornly sat on the chair, “I want to eat.”
“Come.”
The devil tugged him up by the arm.
Kon didn't make a sound.
He followed the devil through the long, maze-like corridors the devil had until they got to a familiar door.
The devil opened the door and gestured to Kon. “You can leave,” he motioned to the opened door.
“What?” Kon blinked.
“I will allow you a week's grace to get the money. Pay it back, and you will have your freedom.” The devil turned his back, “go now before I change my mind.”
Kon didn't wait for the devil to say a word more.
He ran out of the house without looking back.
