Many commoners who lived by the side of the road flocked to see the palace carriage more closely. Because Ruby fell ill on the day of her coronation, she couldn't introduce herself directly to the public, so the commoners at Veritas had never seen Ruby's face.
Ruby opened the carriage window so the people of Veritas could see her face. Some people waved their hands at Ruby, while others showed vexed looks because they thought Ruby was just a nuisance for their king.
