A white wolf with a tinge of light rose-gold ran through the wild forest, his nose scenting the air wile his paws carried him into a land unfamiliar to him. His dark eyes scanned his surroundings with efficiency he had perfected over his years of hunting. His body language showing not much more than is determination to find prey. Those creatures who have seen him before knew to stay out of his way. Wile he was not a hostile wolf, he also didn't tolerate obstacles easily kept away.
The white wolf had been traveling for days, in search of something that he couldn't name. It drove him mad, nearly insane from the nagging feeling that if he didn't find it soon, it would be lost forever. He couldn't have that. Would not have it. It was unacceptable.
He slowed, sniffing the air and letting the wind tell him what he needed to know, let the world speak to him as it did to no other, not even his pack.
Nothing.
Huffing, he looked around and found a nice little nook under some rock to sleep for the night, the need to find this prey of his slowly ebbing away as exhaustion took over. He dreamed, something e didn't do frequently, but when it did happen, the dreams felt real.
[DREAM]
Harsh breathing filled his ears.
Were those his breaths?
No. A female was sprawled out on the floor some distance away from him, bloodied and broken. The room she was in was filthy, floor covered in blood and urine and feces. He growled lowly in his throat which made the female open her soft green eyes. "Help?" she pleaded in a barely audible voice.
"Where are you?" he asked, walking closer, needing to be as close as possible.
"He has me."
"Who?"
She coughed, blood splattering her already bloodied body. "Help!"
He finally knelt beside her, putting a hand out. "Help me find you." He touched her face and she flinched away. His chest rumbled at the pain he saw in her eyes, on her face. "Where are you?"
"Stars," she said and closed her eyes. "Sable Stars."
[END OF DREAM]
Before he could question her further, he woke to the sound of birds chirping and creatures scuttling. Shaking himself out, Snow turn back towards home, hoping his father could tell him something about a Sable Stars pack.
