CHAPTER TWENTY TWO

In a jubilant atmosphere, Alexia celebrated her 20th birthday surrounded by her closest friends at her school. Among them were Juliana, a curious and talkative girl, Mark, a composed and mature young man two years older than Alexia, and Dustin, Alexia's age mate.

As the celebration unfolded, Juliana couldn't help but voice her concern, "Alexia, won't your parents be joining us today? I've never had the chance to meet them. Why don't they ever visit you here at school?"

Alexia's expression turned wistful as she replied, "I'm not sure. They've been distant lately, sending letters but rarely responding to my calls. I do receive gifts from them on special occasions like birthdays and holidays, but it's not the same as having them here."

Mark, with his calming presence, attempted to assuage Alexia's worries. "Don't fret, Alexia. You'll graduate soon, and we'll all accompany you to meet your parents. We'll make sure to get to know them properly."

Dustin, always the jovial one, chimed in, "Yeah, Alexia! We'll be there for you every step of the way. Your parents are lucky to have such wonderful friends."

Alexia's spirits lifted as she realized the unwavering support of her friends. She smiled, dankbar for their unwavering loyalty and love.

As the party continued, Alexia couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope that her parents might surprise her and make an unexpected appearance. After all, it was her 20th birthday, a significant milestone in her life. But even if they didn't, she knew that she had the best friends anyone could ask for.

Juliana and Alexia were housemates. Juliana came from an average family and had the opportunity to attend the same school as Alexia due to a scholarship. She was I, and it was by chance that she met Alexia. Alexia invited Juliana to stay in her house from the beginning of the school year until they were almost finished. Alexia always shared the things that her parents sent her with Juliana, and she also helped Juliana financially. In return, Juliana always found ways to help Alexia in any way she could.

Their friendship was built on mutual support and understanding. Juliana was grateful for Alexia's generosity and kindness, and she was always willing to help Alexia in any way she could. Alexia, in turn, appreciated Juliana's friendship and loyalty. She knew that she could always count on Juliana to be there for her.

Juliana and Alexia's friendship was a true example of how two people from different backgrounds can come together and form a strong bond. They were there for each other through thick and thin, and their friendship lasted long till they almost graduated from school.
