MARK CONFESSED HIS FEELING TO ALEXIA

CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR

"I know you have feelings for Alice. Why don't you just talk to her?" Dustin asked Mark from the passenger seat of Mark's car.

"I'm not sure if she feels the same way. I don't want to risk rejection," Mark replied hesitantly.

"You'll never know unless you try. Remember how uncomfortable she was when those other guys were hitting on her at her birthday celebration? It's clear that she's not interested in just anyone. You have a real chance with her."

Mark sighed and ran a hand through his hair, feeling the weight of Dustin's words sink in. "I guess you're right, but what if I mess things up? Our friendship means so much to me, I don't want to lose that because I couldn't control my feelings," he said, his eyes filled with uncertainty.

Dustin gave Mark a reassuring smile. "Just be honest with her, man. You've been friends for so long, she'll understand. And who knows, maybe she feels the same way about you."

Mark nodded, feeling a surge of determination. "You're right. I'll talk to her and see how it goes. Thanks, Dustin."

As they pulled up to Alice's house, Mark took a deep breath, preparing to finally confront his feelings and take a chance on love.

As Mark approached Alice's front door, his heart raced with nervous anticipation. He knocked and waited, trying to gather his thoughts and find the right words to express his feelings. When Alice opened the door, he found himself at a loss for words. Instead of stumbling through a rehearsed speech, he decided to speak from the heart.

"Alice, there's something I've been wanting to tell you," Mark began, his voice filled with sincerity. "I've known you for so long, and I've come to realize that my feelings for you have grown deeper than just friendship. I care about you more than I can put into words, and I want to be more than just a friend to you."

Alice's eyes widened in surprise, and a small smile tugged at the corners of her lips. "Mark, I had a feeling... I've been hoping you'd say something," she admitted, her voice soft with emotion. "I've felt the same way about you for a while now."

Relief and joy washed over Mark as he and Alice stood on her doorstep, finally acknowledging the feelings they had kept hidden for so long. In that moment, they both knew that taking a chance on love was the best decision they could have made.

As they stood on the doorstep, Mark and Alice's nervousness gave way to a deep sense of connection. They talked for hours, feeling as if they were discovering each other for the first time. They laughed about past memories and shared their hopes and dreams for the future.

In the days that followed, Mark and Alice's relationship blossomed into something beautiful. They went on long walks, cooked together, and spent evenings talking about everything under the sun. Their friends and family were thrilled to see them together and could sense the strong bond between them.

As their love continued to grow, Mark and Alice learned from each other and supported one another through life's challenges. They both knew that taking that leap of faith and being honest about their feelings had been the best decision they had ever made. Their journey of love had truly begun, and they were excited for the adventures that lay ahead.
