Chapter 3 - The Two Stranger

Today Friks didn't go to school because his class was being used by the 12th graders for the national exam. To Friks, school vacations are the perfect time to hang out at the coffee shop, in the afternoon he would walk around the mall with his other friends, and then in the night he would return to his home and climb the rooftop to stare at the stars in the sky with his favorite binoculars. Last week he witnessed a meteor shower around the orbit of Venus, who knows if there will be another incredible sight in the sky tonight. This is how life should be lived.

"Here Friks, your coffee! Well, it looks like you're starting to read a lot, huh? It's good that young people have to be smart and diligent in their reading, what book is it?" asked Robert, placing Friks coffee glass on the table while his eyes tried to read the title of the book Friks was reading, immediately the smell of hot coffee wafted into Friks nose, indicating that the coffee beans Robert grinding were indeed of high quality.

"It's a Novel Uncle, for entertainment!"

"Novel, yes it's good to add insight, OK I leave you for a moment, there are still many customers to serve!" said Robert.

Friks did not answer, and Robert walked over to the customers who had just entered his café. For a moment, Friks was distracted from his novel and stared dreamily at the coffeeshop. A very old building, maybe this is the only old building left in this city. While the left-right, front-back of this coffeeshop has long since experienced modernization, becoming an area of office buildings and apartment houses for the city dwellers. Maybe this is also the reason why this coffeeshop is interesting, its antiquity makes it seem eccentric and different from the others, so that it becomes an eye-soothing medium to escape the fatigue of modernization for a moment.

Or because the coffee sold here is very good, the coffee here looks different from most coffee, although it is almost similar to the Robusta or Arabica coffee sold in the market, but the coffee beans used in this coffee shop look bigger and shiny, maybe premium quality or something like that. I don't know where Robert gets the coffee beans he grinds, maybe from abroad where Robert comes from, Friks tried to guess. Its not a secret that the delicious taste and the unique aroma of coffee often bring a feeling of calm and peace after drinking coffee at Robert's coffeeshop. This is an advantage that no other coffeeshop has, everyone will definitely return to this coffeeshop once they have felt the aroma and taste of Robert's like homemade coffee.

Friks smelled the aroma of his steaming coffee, took a sip, then looked away and sank back into his novel. Friks did not notice that two pairs of eyes had noticed him and were staring at him sharply from a table in another corner of the coffee shop, even the two of them had been watching him when Friks had just entered this coffee shop.

"Are you sure it's him?"

"I'm sure, I've been watching him for the last few days, even Robert the Guardios has convinced me that the boy is indeed 'that guy's son', just look at his face, we can't be wrong, it has to be him!"

"But I'm still not sure, his appearance is a bit questionable, he must be a stupid kid, how could he be the one we're looking for?"

"We'd better make sure first, let's approach him!"

The two people then approached the person in question.

"Um, I'm sorry... can we sit here?" one of them asked politely.

Friks turned his head towards the source of the voice, a young woman was smiling sweetly at him, she is about his age, but judging by her accent and face, she definitely was not a native here, especially by her clear green eyes that looked soothing. Maybe she was a descendant just like Robert, or maybe a foreign tourist who liked old and eccentric places, perhaps that was the reason why she entered this old coffee shop to find its eccentric atmosphere.

Next to him stood a man with a sharp look and a good build, probably the same age as his uncle Miilo. Friks guessed that maybe the man was also the girl's uncle, or maybe her father, he can't figured it out.

"Yes you may, of course, the seat is empty anyway!"

The two sat down right in front of him, and Friks himself didn't really care about them. In this coffee shop, it was common to share tables and seats. Usually Friks would be very happy to chat, even with strangers. But now, for some reason, he preferred to continue reading the novel. Maybe it was because he didn't want them to know that he was a little nervous to see such a beautiful and sweet girl in front of him. Friks looked at her, the girl flicked her fringe and smiled at Friks who now felt awkward because the girl was caught him peeps at the end of the novel paper.

"My name is Kaytrin!" the girl said as she extended her hand, Friks quickly put down his novel and shook Kaytrin's hand.

"Friks!"

The girl turned to the man sitting next to her as Friks said her name, her eyes leering as if to say, "What did I tell you?!

"Oh yes, this is Arthure, my uncle!" explained Kaytrin, Arthure held out his hand, it was true the man was his uncle. Arthure's hands were very muscular, unlike Friks who had thin hands, he gripped Friks hand tightly, too tightly even.

"Ow...!" Friks winced.

"Sorry!" Arthure said as he released his grip, Friks suspicion earlier that Arthure was very strong man was not wrong, his strapping body did indeed hold great power.

"It's okay," Friks replied as he relaxed his slightly sore wrist.

"It's just that you remind me of someone!" replied Arthure.

"Oh yes, forgive my presumption, but your name is Friks. Friks Sterne, right? And your father name is Reyyu Sterne?" asked Kaytrin.

"That's right, how do you know that?"

"I'm just guessing, but I can tell from your face that you look a lot like him."

"Do you know my father? Who are you?" asked Friks, looking at Kaytrin's and Arthure's faces in turn. Curious and confused by the presence of the two strangers who seemed to know his father.
