Chapter 2 - Chapter Two

" I think it's enough already!" The king said, his face showing true hatred for her. She looked at him and two horns appeared on his head, with his eyes blazing fire.

* So how come I was being referred to as the devil's daughter when they had the real devil with them...Idea*

" Before I do that, could you kindly answer me this question?" She asked, as she quenched the fire on her hands before putting them between her legs.

" Release everyone first." He said, as he looked in the direction of his children.

" No, it's my way or no way!" She said, and she brought out her hands before turning them into fists at both her sides.

" This attitude of yours will lead you nowhere. Better release my children or..." The second Queen said, as her lips twisted up in anger.

" Or else what?" She said, and she yet again unclenched her fists before gently clapping her hands and laughing hard.

" Lina, I think this is enough. You shouldn't be treating your family this way, especially your father. He's the king remember." She said, as she scrambled to her side.

" No, don't tell me that Mother." Lina shouted, as she turned her gaze towards her before slowly backing away. " If I don't ask him this question, will you answer me? "

Her mother kept quiet, and she slowly bent her head before a tear trailed down her face. Lina turned back to her father before she really got too emotional. She had never questioned her mother neither had she spoken to her like that ever.

" If I'm the devil's daughter, who then is my father?" Lina asked, her eyes shifting to her father's. She was using her last resolve not to break down, and she really hoped he didn't.

" Look." He said, as he uses his mouth to point towards her mother. " Isn't she in the best position to answer that? After all, she gave birth to you.

* That is so true, mother actually needs to answer this question. It's high time I asked her anyways."

" Fine, I will let you all go." She said, before waving her hands and they all got freed. Her siblings fell on the ground and their parents went to pick them up. There was no much damage as she had reduced the power of the fire, if not they would have gotten burnt. They got up and left their parents before running through the door.

Queen Lara gave her an angry look before running after her children, while the king still stood there with an expressionless face.

" I will teach you a lesson Lina." He said, as he looked from her to her mother before looking back at her. " Seems you have learnt the act of using love ones for revenge. The battle just begun."

Lina stared back at him, oblivious of what he was talking about. What battle? She was still a child and the chances of her giving birth is still very slim. She turned to her mother who looked back at her with fear in her eyes.

She hated the fact that her mother was scared, that alone makes her more angry and the thirst to give out punishment still on her tongue.

She looked back at her father as he made to leave and she said, " Don't make any foolish decision." She knew he was capable of doing anything and she hoped he wouldn't cross her path.

He stopped for a moment and looked at her before saying, " Keep your eyes open and your ears alive." He turned back and walked into the palace with his guards threading after him, now that they had fully recovered from the shock from earlier.

Her mother walked up to her and held her hands. Tears were streaming down her cheeks and her body shook like she was traumatized. She looked at her and her heart pained her the more. Those brats didn't have to live after making her mum to suffer like this.

" Stop crying already Mother." Lina said to her, her hands wrapping round her's. Her hands were shaking like an overdue leaf and she held it tight to see if she could stop it from swaying.

" How can I stop crying when you are always causing troubles? " She replied, with the hot tears streaming more down her face. She moved her arm to wipe her ears, for it started to blur her vision. " Or don't you care about the rumor of being the devil's daughter anymore?"

" Is this actually coming from you Mother!" Lina thundered. She was already on the verge and now her mom wants to add to it. " Whenever have I cared about what people say? Is it for me to reply them or for me to give you a reply?"

" Eh..eh, no. It's nothing like that."She stammered and her eyes started losing the steady bit to it."

" Because I don't understand you Mother. Why should I care about the rumors if there's nothing to fear about?" She said, before wrapping her arms around herself.

" Sometimes, we need to think about what the society thinks of us before making some decisions. We all need to keep a clean plate after all." She explained, and she pressed her hands together.

" If you say so Mother." Lina, as she was tired already about using her powers and she wouldn't want to tire herself more with questions that she knew she wasn't getting an answer to.

" Yes." She said, before she slowly left her side and walked inside like the rest.

Lina stood there, tired to the bones about everything that happened. She placed her palm on her forehead to subside the headache that was threatening her. She hated headaches with everything she had got and would do everything in her power to avoid it.

She held onto herself as it was trying to throw her down. Slowly, with her palms still on her forehead, she walked back inside. At least there, she would be able to clear her head a little.
