Staring at the man standing in front of her, Lina's eyes nearly bulged out of it's sockets. He was extremely tall with a huge body that complimented his powerful physique.
He was light skinned, so fair that he could even pass the description of a bright morning star. He had amber eyes just like her's and a nose that seemed to be dropped by the angels themselves. His well sculptured face had a slight frown to it and she wondered what could be wrong.
Even with all the beauty he owned, it didn't seem to dim the powerful aura he possessed. Just by looking at his eyes, her tummy growled like the sound made when a fish dives into a river.
Something seemed to tip him off but she could not find what.
With a resounding voice he said,
" Don't be in haste to have your revenge. A day will come when you will have lot's of opportunity to do so."
" Who are you? And why are you telling me this..." She said, merely muttered to herself but he seemed to have heard it for he said next,
" Knowing who I am is not vital enough but doing what I say is." He said smiling, and he scratched the corner of his mouth with his index finger.
She continued to look at him, her nervousness increasing by the minute. Why was he not eager to reveal his identity? Is there something he is not letting on?
" And what if I say that it is necessary for me to know?" She said to him, the curiosity in her eyes trying to cover up her nervousness. Truly speaking, she was only nervous but not afraid. Fear is a strong feeling and she believed in her own powers.
" Then I definitely will stop coming." He said emphatically, his face taking up an angry expression wiping the smile that had been on his face a while ago.
" That is exactly what I am concerned about." She told him, not minding the look on his face. After all, all she wanted was an answer and even if she made him angry in the process so be it, as long as she got what she wanted. " Why are you coming if you are not going to give me answers to all my questions?"
" Lina," He called.
" You know my name?"
" I know everything."
" You should know by now that all these questions are not going to be answered to." He told her, and he turned his back to her facing the window. They were in an old building that been neglected by it's occupants. The reason for her being there, she does not know.
He had very broad shoulders and arms that seemed to fit perfectly in. If not because she was older, she would have fallen for him."
Who said age matters?
But...In as much as he was physically beautiful and a drop stone for every woman, he was not her type.
" And what is your spec?" He suddenly said, jolting the hell out of her. She had never seen this coming, him being able to read her mind.
" I did not read your mind, your expression gave you away." He said, as he chuckled lightly.
* Idea...
"And how would you know that since you are backing me?" She pointed out to him as a smile curbed the corner of her lips before moving her chin up.
Oh! Shit...
" I knew such thoughts would run through your mind. It always has in the past, with all the ladies I entangled with." He said thoughtfully.
" I see.."
" Yes."
A minute of silenced developed between them, each busy with their own thoughts.
" I have to go." He finally said, and he turned to face her again.
" Without a name?"
" Yes, without a name."
And just like that, he disappeared. She sat there still looking in the thin air , the very spot he took off from.
She jerked open her eyes as a light knock sounded on the door. Her eyes closed back, trying to adjust to the brightness of the sky that was seeping through the open window.
She had even slept with the door open, that was so clumsy of her, she thought.
Again the knock came louder than that previous one. She looked down at her body, checking if she was alright and she covered up still with a duvet.
"Who is there?" She said, her right hand going to her mouth as she yawned.
" It's the Chief Maid. Your bathing water has been prepared." The voice answered.
" Come in."
As the door opened, an average sized woman walked in with a kettle that was steaming hot from the nozzle. She stood there while contemplating on what to do, before she helped her out.
" Good morning my Princess." She greeted.
" Good morning."
" Don't worry about pouring it. I will turn the water out myself."
" Yes my Princess." The Chief Maid said, before slowly placing the kettle on the floor. She opened the door before stepping out.
Immediately she left, she leaned back her head on her pillow and closed her eyes. What was bothering her was that she had the same dream again. The dream that first came to her right after her mother's death. She had been seeing in him in her sleep every night, with the same scenario occuring. He had been coming to her for a long time and she even began to look forward to it.
But in the past few years he had stop visiting her except for now. The reason he came back she did not know and he was still as adamant as ever.
She rubbed her hand over her face before stretching her arms widely. She got off from the bed and walked to the window. The view was aristocratic in style, with the rainbow forming a beautiful view in the sky. The streetlights illuminated the still early weather that looked not barely more than six in the morning.
Standing there brought back fresh memories. The memories of her and her mom. How she cherished them, and she always will. They two used to spend some couple of time before the window like this, especially by this hour or at night.
She turned, her back resting on the glass that the window was made up before breathing in. She stood there for a while before she carried the kettle to the bathroom.
