Lucan collected the binoculars from him while Ezekiel sneered at him. He put it before his eyes, not minding him at all. He cursed in his mind for wasting too much time. If not because the deal he had with Ezekiel, he would have used his powers. The so called deal he had with him involved him not using his powers to kill any.
The animal was truly gone and he grunted heavily. He started towards the forest, as he brought his knife from his bag. Big case was, he had not come with an arrow or a gun but rather with a small knife which was not much longer than a penknife.
The trees were so clustered to one another, with some producing fruits while others didn't. He used his knife to brush off the leaves that were touching him as he looked from left to right.
He stopped suddenly as he heard a cry, it sounded more like that of a hyena and after a second the sound ceased. Another cry escaped into the chilly air, this time produced by his brother.
He turned around and saw him scrouched to the ground, his left knee on the ground while he had his head bent too close to his other knee. His toe nails were bleeding mildly, but he could still play around with it if he was brave enough to endure the pain.
It was a matter of letting the vampire spirit control him. He wasn't going to make lag them behind, no way!
" I suggest you go bro." Ezekiel said, and he continued to clean the oozing blood off. His blood was not going to make him lose his game, not after coming this far.
" So you could sleep there?" He said, teasing his brother lightly. In as much as be hated not participating in the game hunt he wouldn't love to lose the fun. He knew his brother so well and he smiled.
He's smile deepened when he got the reaction he wanted. Ezekiel rolled his eyes before pouting his mouth. He's lower lip went down as he did so, and his eyelashes sticking out in the way girls would envy him.
" Let me sleep, it's my sleep after all." Ezekiel countered back, wagging his tongue at him.
" Look at you, a grown man of the vampire clan behaving like a child. With this act of yours, the wolves would have more reason to call us childish." He chided him, before turning back on the task at hand.
" But at least we have what the vampires envy. The ability to outlive more in the world and a good amount of a life span." Ezekiel said, his two hands resting fully on his knees now.
" That's one thing!" He called, his voice farther than before. He continued with his search, and he started to feel the presence of a game nearby. The feeling was so intense and he knew from how powerful it was, it was a big game. But first, his brother needed to be a partaker.
" Hey come on you need something to hunt, or you will lose the deal!" He called out to him, as he smiled broadly just as a lizard squirrelled passed.
he could not refuse that smile and nod.
"Find whatever…just please don't kill anything or else you will lose…." Ezekiel said looking down, and his brother nodded and smiled at him.
But he stood up nonetheless, and started towards his brother. They both continued walking further into the forest and Lucan's feeling increasing more.
Ezekiel looked up and noticed they were approaching the antelope they had been hunting earlier.
"Wait, we cannot catch that!" he exclaimed, looking at the animal.
But the elder did not listen and kept running towards the animal.
He stopped just behind the antelope and inhale deeply, he knew what he was about to do is dangerous, but the vampires is not one to break a deal.
So with a determined smile, he grabbed the knife tightly and swung it towards the deer's heart. He had been killing them all his life so he knew it's heart was the best target.
"HEY! YOU CANNOT DO THAT!" his brother screamed at him, but he did not stop.
He walked towards the deer and grabbed it by its neck, with his bare hand the animal struggle to scot-free, but he was holding it tightly.
He raised the dagger above the antelope head and brought it down forcefully, towards the neck. He needed to slice another part of it other than the heart.
With one strike from his hand, blood shot through the antelope and its head landed on the ground with blood splashing everywhere, including on his younger brother.
Ezekiel who was dumbstruck, looks like he underestimated his brother even without his power he could hunt. Seems like he is more dangerous than he portrays.
It was already getting dark out. The only noise was the sound of nature, which echoed through the air.
Ezekiel who was now fully back to himself, looked as if his eyes were going to pop out from it's socket. The boy seemed quite surprised when he finally saw his vampire big brother, who was still waiting on him.
He had pale green eyes with long eyelashes and a small, pointed nose. His raven hair which was neatly brushed back stood up in a way that would be very attractive if it wasn't covered in blood of the antelope that was slaughtered.
"What are you waiting for? Do you want to die from starvation, like how I am right now?" Lucan asked impatiently.
"Okay, let's go, you win "the younger uttered reluctantly.
"look it is already dark, if we wait for the hunters or any hunter we will get in trouble" Lucan reasoned, and they both picked up the antelope while strolling out of the forest.
