"So I'm blind now."
"Partially and temporarily, it can be fixed so don't worry."
"Great, that's wonderful News." Nikolai replied sarcastically, "Look at the bright side, we're going back home." Jin said.
"I'm being released?" Nikolai asked, "Your mom's orders actually, the doctor says there's no current danger on your health and you can go back home to rest, so Madame wants me to take you home." Jin replied.
"What's the catch? there's no way my mom would give up the chance of keeping me locked and sheltered in a hospital, just like that." Nikolai said.
"First of all, there'll be no more acting for you until your vision has improved, so basically you are going to remain locked and sheltered in your own house.
Plus Madame is enhancing security measures in your house." Jin replied, "The bodyguards she hired for you here, will all be working in your house, including Minnie." He added.
"Mom and her damn spy girls." Nikolai grunted, "Your mother, she isn't a normal person, is she?" Jin asked, "You think? she's a crime lady!" Nikolai replied annoyed.
"I'm sorry what?" Jin said, "Isn't it obvious?...the girls, the security measures, the fact that she accepted you even though she knows our history.
How everyone in town acts like her little bitch." Nikolai replied.
"I mean i thought she's like a business woman or something, but a crime lady?...like what kind crimes are we talking about?" Jin asked.
"I don't know if I should tell you, I'm her son but she chose to hide this side of her life from me, I only found out in highschool but I never confronted her about it out of fear." Nikolai replied, "Ugh, the whole town knows, actually not just the town, the whole country turns a blind eye to her...not even the government can touch her.
I love my mom, but she scares the shit out of me." he added.
"You're saying, you only recently discovered that your mother is a criminal?" Jin asked surprised.
"I had a feeling growing up, but I was just a kid and didn't dare to ask... however I came across something incriminating during highschool." Nikolai said.
"Tell me." Jin said, "I'm not sure I should tell you more about her, I'm sorry I got you into this whole mess, it isn't something you should be part of." Nikolai replied.
"I'm already knee-deep in this mud, might as well share what we know with each other.
I have a weird feeling we're connected with more than just our romantic feelings. " Jin replied in a hopeful tone, "Besides, your Mom has officially hired me to continue be your bodyguard.
Whether I like it or not, I am part of this now." he added.
"She did?" Nikolai's eyes went wide open, "Yes, Minnie says it's weird because I'm a man." Jin replied.
Suddenly, "Remember when you told me your mother's death wasn't an accident?" Nikolai said.
"Yeah?"
"What I found that day in my mom's office was a picture of a woman attached to a file, it was your mother's picture, something was written on the back of it."
Jin raised an eyebrow, "You found a picture of my mom, in your mom's office?" he wasn't too surprised because Radka admitted to knowing Lily, but it was weird because Radka said she kept her distance from his mom, and a file would suggest otherwise.
"Yeah, the pic had the phrase 'why did her own father want her dead?' written on the back of it." Nikolai replied.
"Her Father wants her dead?...that means my other grandfather.
I never met him, and my mom never spoke of him, and Now I know why."
"I find it scary Jin, to think a father would want his own daughter dead."
"Niko, what else was in that file?"
"The file provided basic information about Lily, like a resume or something.
There was her name, birth date/place and general physical description and some skills she possessed, like how Lily has perfect aim, has a black belt in taekwondo, she speaks multiple languages and drives motorcycles.
oddly enough...there was no mentioning of you in the file."
"Taekwondo and Motorcycles, that's my mom for sure." Jin replied.
"Hold on you know about these stuff? the things your mom can do?" Nikolai asked,
"Yeah, I guess we both have strange moms.
My mom was able to speak many languages, She taught me Korean from young age, she said it's to keep me close with my culture since I'm half Korean.
She Also trained me in taekwondo and some boxing, and when she died I inherited her Small collection of Firearms...I actually carry one of her guns with me all the time." Jin replied.
"Then how was your mother okay with us dating?" Nikolai Asked, "What?" Jin asked back.
"Judging from her file, it seems like your grandfather from your mother's side, hired my mom to kill yours." Nikolai replied.
"Hired?! Kill?! Radka is a hitwoman ?!" Jin said nearly shouting.
"Not just any kind of hitwoman, my mom doesn't get personally involved unless it's for personal reasons or the target is a big fish like herself...I do think she was hired by your grandfather." Nikolai explained.
"You know what that means... Niko."
"That there's a chance that my mom is the killer you're looking for Jin."
"I get it now, why you didn't want to tell me."
"I'm sorry Jin."
"Don't be, I don't blame you in any way."
...Meanwhile...
As they sat in the cafeteria, "Are you sure about adding Jin into the equation, it'll be a matter of time before he discovered his connection to us.
it will be awkward to explain to him your relationship with Lily." Rushil said sipping on his tea, "Oh dear, and here I thought you wanted him to be part of the family." Radka replied jokingly as she added more sugar to her coffee.
"Rad, Are you confident Jin will keep Nikolai safe?...what about his feelings, don't you think hiring him was a irrational?"
"Love is a strong emotion, I've put lotta of faith in that...besides it's not like we killed Lily.
*Sighing*... Nikolai and Jin...
Both of those idiots never stopped loving each other, I wish sometimes that that Moses kid never interfered in their relationship.
Nikolai could've been married, and you and i can play the role of the scary inlaws that come once a month to their house, to scare off Jin so he wouldn't even think of making Nikolai sad." Radka chuckled at the thought.
"Instead, Moses butted in, they broke up, Julian and Lily died after and all hell broke loose for us." she added frowning.
"You think they still love each other?" Rushil asked.
"Remember that story about my family I told you about...that's more than just a story, it's been the fate of our people for generations." Radka said, nodding "Yes, you said your family has a phenomena you call 'The curse of First love'...where once any member of the family experience their first love, they're most likely to marry that first love.
Those who weren't successful in their first love, never found love again in someone else and have always remained in love with the first person they fell in love with until they die." Rushil explained.
"You know why I never left you for Lily...she was badass and interesting, but I never felt anything beyond admiration for her.
I fell for you first, and ever since I can't imagine being with someone else other than you Ru-Ru.
I'd kill myself if I have to live in a world where you're not in it." Radka replied smiling.
Flustered, "How Scary, you're oddly romantic these days honey." Rushil said.
"Nikolai is just like me, I'm sure of it.
if Jin's really his first love, if the love he experienced with Jin is true love.
Then he won't be able to let him go, no matter how Hard He or Andrea tried...Jin's name is engraved in our son's heart forever.
I can still hear Nikolai begging me that day to not hurt Jin, he cried like his own life depends on it.
I bet if Niko knew about our relationship to Lily he would tell Jin, I'm not scared my own kid will sell me out for Jin's sake." Radka said chuckling, "There's also this chance that Nikolai might have broken their relationship, to keep Jin safe from me.
And with such knowledge, I have no intentions of standing in the way of their love anymore, because this might be the only shot at happiness that Nikolai has." she added.
"I see, if that's your decision, then I'll support it." Rushil replied.
"Thank you dear, I love you."
"I love you too."
...Few minutes later...
"WOW! that's so pretty! your voice gave me goosebumps!" Minnie and Seong-min sat next to each other outside of Nikolai's hospital room.
Seong-min was showing Minnie some of her singing videos, "Girl can sing alright! I can sing too but singing in front of people scares the shit outta me." Minnie said giggling.
"No Way! sing something I want to hear! I won't judge." Seong-min replied enthusiastically.
But before Minnie could muster the courage to do so, Someone came towards them.
"I've been trying to reach you, but you hang up every time, you and your damn indecisive brother...care to explain why Rudy called me and said you're here when Jin obviously told you yesterday to fuck off?" Ha-yoon said furiously.
"She your friend?" Minnie asked Seong-min, "Yeah." Seong-min replied tired, she wasn't looking forward to explain herself to Ha-yoon too.
"You're coming home with me, and you're telling me what happened." Ha-yoon said grabbing Seong-Min's hand, "I'm sorry but Jin asked me to keep watching her, I can't let you take the girl." Minnie interfered.
"And who are you?!" Ha-yoon asked.
Suddenly, "What's going on Minnie?" A voice caught the girls attention.
"Radka." Ha-yoon said, "Ha-yoon." Radka replied as she walked towards them with Rushil by her side.
"Madame, Jin asked me to watch over his sister while he's inside with Nikolai.
This woman however, wants to take her home against her will." Minnie explained the situation.
Ignoring Ha-yoon's presence, "Seong-min, I was surprised to know you're Jin's sister... Although you look alike, you two are too different in your personalities.
I heard your father is that business man 'Young Nam-gil' right?...that makes Jin his son too." Radka spoke up smiling.
"Seong-min, I said let's go home." Ha-yoon spoke up again, Radka's eyes shifted from Seong-min to Ha-yoon.
"It's obvious she doesn't want to go with you, why are you being clingy Ha-yoon? you like her?" Radka asked grinning.
"Ugh, why do you care old hag." Ha-yoon replied making Radka's grin evaporate.
Rushil instantly felt nervous seeing how Radka's face darkened, "Ladies, remember to be kind to each other." he said.
"Old hag, wow! is that the best you got?" Radka asked, "Don't act like you better than me." Ha-yoon replied.
"I am better than you Ha-yoon, you're disrespectful and NEED to be disrespected.
I might be an old hag but the truth is, if I wasn't happily married and devoted to my husband here... it'll be your gay ass I be bending tonight.
Your exactly my type miss Kim, I'd love to hear you call me Madame while I'm eating you." Radka said licking her lips.
A blushing Seong-min and Minnie glanced at each other trying hard not to squeal, meanwhile an embarrassed Rushil hid his face in his hands.
Flustered beyond saving, Ha-yoon backed away, her face was painted in deep red and she realized her best option was to leave, so she did.
Watching her walk away, "Nice Ass, but not as nice as yours." Radka said shifting her gaze to her husband.
When Rushil's eyes met his wife's, Radka winked at him.
"Damn." Seong-min and Minnie whispered.
