I got back to the meeting area which was still wide open. Roy was yapping around beneath me as I entered.
"Are you serious about this? It'll be so troublesome."
"Yes, we're head off. If your panther friend comes then she can join us."
His movements, swift and agile, left out of the door in an instant. I made my presence known, jumping down behind them from the window.
"Good, you're back. We're heading to an area which a war could occur in, so be prepared."
I nodded, swishing my tail as I walked next to him. People looked at me normally now, with smiles and glee. It seemed the citizens gave warriors a lot of respect.
Roy on the other hand had to pry into my injury, "Trouble on your first day?"
"My visit went badly, happens when you are uninvited."
My mood had significantly dropped, not suited for Roy's jabbings.
"Don't bring any problems to us or you'll be out of here. Haa haa."
His abrupt laugh caught me off guard, is he serious? My expression changed to worry for the guy's life. I just had to guess the warrior was the only thing keeping its head on. That didn't stop me from giving Roy a restricted bat in his direction to shoo him off.
He took to the sky after cursing at me which made my lips curve involuntary.
Gunther, the warrior strode in length covering the entire town in less than an hour to see the sunset before we set out.
The moon was already out which confused me, "Is it really safe going out in the dark?"
"Yes, we must."
'But why' was what I wanted to ask, but I rather just follow without care. I could barely feel the cut anymore so I'd be able to run full speed again in a day of two.
I sensed the temperature drop, the wind beginning to change. This wasn't good. I looked over to Gunther but there was no reaction. Would we even keep going in rain or a potential storm?
We exited the gates like a normal citizen would. Exchanging fabricated information and went on our way.
