Chapter 22 - Chapter 22~Ice and Fire~

"So will you call me 'Apostle of death' whenever you call me?"

(Chuckle) [No, I will call you insect, what did you think]

"Ok, that's good"

[You aren't bothered by that?]

"No, why should I?"

Hmm, it was weird, the dragon had never encountered such an insect before. Even though he had already lived for over 10 000 years and fought in endless battles, he couldn't remember anyone who was like that insect standing before him.

[Ok, but you have to call me Aldergon or almighty dragon ruler]

(snicker) "I will call you Aldergon"

Almighty dragon ruler, here on the first floor? Who does his teacher think he is? Anton tried his best to hold his laughter in and succeeded to some extent.

[Now go back to where you came from, and come back tomorrow. That is when your training will start]

Anton was a bit flabbergasted, he had to walk back the whole way to the city. He didn't have any food and it was at least a whole day's walk.

"Can't I just sleep in the temple? Why do I have to walk the whole way back to the city?"

Aldergon, who had already turned his head away from Anton, now stepped down from the temple, put his face directly before Anton's, and screamed at him.

[What? You dare ask to sleep in my temple!]

Anton realized he had made a mistake but before he could say anything an ugly stench etched his nose like someone didn't clean his teeth for a year. It was so bad that he had to turn around a puke.

[Hey, why did you do that? I didn't put much pressure on my roar]

Anton wanted to say that it was because of his breath but he couldn't so he had to come up with a different answer.

"I ate something bad today, so my stomach just had a bad reaction"

Aldergon looked at him as if he was an idiot.

[You truly are an insect, I can't believe that I have taken you as my student]

"I won't let you down."

Aldergon chuckled and looked at Anton's eyes they were fierce eyes, eyes that wanted to become stronger even if he had to throw his humanity away. Aldergon liked his eyes, they reminded him of another being from a long time ago.

[Insect, as a part of your training you are forbidden to enter the city. You have to eat and drink in the wild, you can eat monsters or other animals similar to the ones where you came from.]

Anton looked at Aldergon, in his eyes, there was no room for disobeying him. So Anton made his mind up and parted ways with his new teacher.

It became night and Anton was still climbing up the mountain, it was his goal to reach the peak of the mountain before midnight. He thought that the peak would be the safest spot to sleep, and the way to Aldergon was shorter than before.

Anton stopped and turned his head around, he looked in the direction of the temple he couldn't see the temple at all because it was really dark outside. While looking in the direction of the temple Anton thought about the last two months.

He had fought that dragon for two months, it was a hard and painful time. The ice breath of Aldergon was so cold that it burned his hand and arms multiple times. His clothes were ripped apart many times and he had to steal some clothes from the middle city people.

kieeaghhh

A scream ripped Anton out of his daydreams, he hastily looked around and saw a Yeti standing just a few meters away from him. How did he not notice the Yeti, Anton wondered but strangely the Yeti didn't attack him.

That was when Anton noticed the other monster behind him, it was a little kid but the aura around him told Anton that he shouldn't attack that kid. The kid saw the Yeti and released an attack the attack was so powerful that the Yeti got smacked off the mountain.

hieeeghhhh

What was that for an attack, Anton never saw such an attack. It was then that he noticed something weird, how could there be no particles of mythic energy flying around in the air after such a strong attack? It was obvious, there was no mythic power used in the attack.

"Hello Goblin King, why are you here?"

The kid looked at Anton and a smile appeared on the kid's face. Without answering the kid took a few steps forward until he was standing directly before him.

[Who are you?]

How could he not know him? That was what Anton thought but then it became clear to him. Everyone forgot him so the Goblin King would be no exception, he had a little hope left after he saw that his title was still 'Discipline of the Goblin King of Death' but it seems even that didn't matter to the system.

Anton replied to the Goblin King's question because he could sense the Goblin King loading up his mythic powers.

"I am the Apostle of Death, I am sorry I must have confused you with someone I know"

The Goblin King's eyes widened and he grabbed Anton by the hands and pushed him down on his knees. His knees dug into the snow and he was now eye to eye with the Goblin King.

[How can you be telling the truth, there should only be one Apostle of Death and that should be a title given only to my strongest Discipline, so how did you get the name?]

Anton was confused, the name that he had, was a real name? And if the name was only exclusive to the Goblin king, how could his new teacher name him that way?

There were too many questions in Anton's head right now, but he needed to get the out of his head for now and store them where the other questions are stored, the ones he didn't know the answer to.

"My teacher gave me the name"

Anton decided to go with the truth, he didn't know if that was a good decision but it was the best he could think of at that moment.

To his surprise, the Goblin King let go of him and even introduced himself.

[Ok that also seems to be the truth, so could you please bring me to your master!]

"Ok I will do that, but if you aren't the Goblin King then what is your name?"

The Goblin King was surprised by Anton's question, not many players ask another one about their names so it was no surprise that the Goblin King felt surprised.

[You can call me Jim]

Anton managed to persuade the Goblin King into sleeping first and going to his teacher tomorrow. It wasn't an easy task but none of the tasks Anton did until now were easy.

Anton's eyes slowly opened and the stench of grilled meat came to his nose. When he looked beside him the Goblin King couldn't be seen. That was until he looked in the direction of the fire, the Goblin King was sitting there and was eating meat.

Anton went over and sat himself down on the other side of the fire.

"Good morning Goblin King"

The Goblin King stopped eating his meat and looked at Anton, Anton looked back and their eyes met, Anton tried to give the Goblin King a sign to give him some meat but he only looked into Anton's eyes.

[You are stupid, how can you call me by that title, I told you yesterday that my name is Jim. You are lucky that I need to meet your teacher, otherwise you would have been dead]

"Ok, I will do that from now on Jim, but could I have some of the meat you have?"

Jim looked beside him, there were lying a few meat stakes and he gave Anton one of them.

[But, if you ever get my name wrong again I will kill you, even if I then don't get to meet your master]

Anton looked at Jim, he wasn't kidding. They both ate up and made their way down the mountain, Jim asked Anton multiple times where exactly the home of his teacher was but Anton never answered.

Anton felt, that if he told Jim he would be dead instantly, so he had to continue to keep quiet about it. After a few hours, they were finally at the bottom of the mountain and the way to the temple and the temple could be seen.

Anton looked at Jim beside him but there wasn't anyone standing there. He hastily looked around, maybe Jim was trying a sneak attack to kill him or something else. He thought that but threw that thought out immediately after thinking about it again.

Jim didn't need a sneak attack to kill him, he can just do so.

BOOM

An explosion happened at the temple, Anton could see smoke coming from the temple and a second later a shockwave hit him. The shockwave was so strong that he was pushed back many meters.

A shockwave like this one could only mean one thing, two legendary monsters were fighting each other. It was clear who those legendary monsters were, it was his new teacher and his old teacher.

Anton quickly used his skill 'Wind jumps' and started to sprint in the direction of the fight, a fight between such monsters was something you needed to see and something you could learn from.

He was running as quickly as he could but it got harder and harder because of the shockwaves coming from the fight and the snow storm added on top of that. Anton needed to use an extreme part of his reserves to go through the snowstorm and the shockwaves but he finally made it.

[Wind jumps Lv.10 —> Wind jumps Lv.10+1]

~Your skill has exceeded the system ratings, when you level your skill up it will only be shown to you~

Anton stopped at that message, his skill had exceeded the system limit. But how was that possible, he didn't train that much and the last time he saw a player or a monster was months ago.

And besides, if his skill exceeded the system ratings, then what is with the skills of Jim and Aldergon? They are much stronger than him and their skills are at least 10+ levels above his. He didn't want to imagine what strong skills these two monsters had and what they had to do to possess them.

Will he also be able to fight on that level if he trains enough? No, that was bullshit, he will surpass them both because there are stronger beings out in this tower. Wait, what tower? What did he just think about?

Anton tried to remember but he couldn't, then another shockwave hit him and he was pulled out of his daydreams again. He looked at the battle that was fought before his eyes, they both couldn't be seen by Anton, they were just too fast.

Shit, why are they getting faster and faster I can't see their fight like this. Anton thought that and an idea came to his mind, what if he powers his eyes with mythic energy and makes them move and take up things faster?

He tried that and after a few times it succeeded, and he was able to follow their movements a bit.

[New skill acquired: Eyes of the two suns Lv.1]

He was happy about acquiring a new skill and being able to follow their fight.

Jim and Aldergon were fighting both on the ground and in the air, Jim had the advantage on the ground and Aldergon in the air, it was an even battle and the two of them only used their normal fighting skills.

That was because a small insect was standing a few hundred meters away and was watching their fight, if they went all out that little insect wouldn't live anymore. Both of them didn't want that to happen so they had to hold back until Aldergon made a suggestion.

[Hey Goblin King of Death, I will make an ice barrier so that we can fight all out]

[Hehe, good idea Ice Dragon of Death, let's do it.]

Anton was confused why did they stop? The battle was coming to a high point, so why would they do that? His question was answered in the next second when a 50-meter-high wall appeared before him.

The wall was only two meters away, and it was like glass, which meant that Anton could see through it and what he saw was something he could of have never imagined.
