The Goblin King was distancing himself from the Ice Dragon and prepared for an attack, the Ice Dragon noticed that and followed him quickly and while following him he also prepared for his attack.
Anton stood behind the ice wall the Ice Dragon made and followed their battle with his eyes. He was thankful that he got his new skill, then without it, he wouldn't have been able to follow their battle.
A dark liquid shoot from the Goblin King's hands, and hit the Ice Dragon on one of his wings, the dark liquid aced a bit of the scales away but the Ice Dragon didn't care and started his attack. He turned around mid-flight and hit the Goblin King with his tail.
The Goblin King couldn't evade the attack and get thrown away into another Ice wall, which appeared behind him. The Ice Dragon hit the Goblin King with his tail and directly after formed a new Ice wall behind the flying Goblin King.
The latter fell to the ground and fought up blood, but it didn't look like he would give up. As soon as he stood again, the Goblin King transformed and was now at least three meters high.
The Ice Dragon who didn't attack him when he was lying on the ground now took a defence stance and prepared for the attack. Just in time because the Goblin King was directly before him and punched him in the face.
The Ice Dragon couldn't evade the attack, and two dark liquid fangs were pushed into the lower part of his mouth, and blood fell down, the colour of the blood was golden. Right after he got hit, the Ice Dragon flew directly into the sky away from the Goblin King and shot his Ice breath at him.
The Goblin King anticipated this attack and could evade it, but the Ice Dragon's attack wasn't over. Right after he shot the Ice breath, he came flying directly at the Goblin King and the two of them clashed head-on.
A very strong shockwave was generated from this attack and the Ice wall broke down, Anton who was standing behind it got thrown away from the shockwave. When he looked up again, he could see the two of the wrestling.
The Ice Dragon was standing on top of the Goblin King, pressing him down with his claws and weight. To Anton, it seemed like his new teacher had won the fight against his old master. When he saw that Aldergon was stepping down from Jim, he stood up and went over to them.
"Hey, why did the two of you fight?"
They both looked at him and chills were flowing down Anton's spine, the two of them still were in their fighting zone and had monstrous auras coming from them. Aldergon was the first to answer.
[This isn't something that has to concern you]
Jim nodded at Aldergon's words and added.
[We have already talked it out]
Anton was thinking about something for a second but decide not to ask.
Then Aldergon annoyingly looked at him.
[Did I tell you to bring some other guy with you?]
"No you didn't, but what chance did I have? He is far stronger than I am, I would not have a chance!"
Anger flicked over Aldergon's face and also over the face of Jim.
[Anton, you always have a chance. There are no excuses for what you have done, you always have another way of doing something. Saying that you don't have a chance is a false mindset, no wonder you are so weak]
That were, the last words Aldergon said to him before he flew away, and even Jim left the place as if nothing happened. When they both left Anton looked around, the temple was half destroyed and the place where the two fought was a giant hole.
Anton decide to walk over to the hole, and to his surprise, he could see water beneath it, that was when Anton noticed, that he was standing on a frozen sea. When he looked down, he saw cracks forming on the ice and he turned around immediately.
The cracks in the ice were getting bigger and spreading around in every direction. Anton, who had noticed that started running in the direction of the mountain, he was running at about 90 km/h with his skill 'Wind Jumps' activated.
But even at this speed, the cracks in the ice were still catching him, he was now only 500 meters away from the mountain and the ice behind him began falling into the sea. He didn't look behind him, only in the direction of the mountain but if he looked behind him, he would have seen a beautiful sight.
The ice was breaking apart and falling into the sea beneath it, it was truly spectacular of course it wasn't for Anton, who didn't want to fall into the sea. It was now really close for Anton, the ice was breaking down the moment he sat a foot on the ice and running was getting harder.
100 meters
80 meters
60 meters
40 meters
The mountain was only twenty meters away when his left foot touched water instead of ice and he fell off balance.
*Oh shit*
Anton fell on his knees and hands but when his hands touched the ice he pushed himself up with them, like doing a handstand and pushed himself up in the air, flying towards the feet of the mountain.
*Puah, that was tiring*
Anton was standing at the feet of the mountain and was looking in the direction where the temple stood, to his surprise the temple of the Ice Dragon was still standing. Although he wasn't in one piece anymore, that was because of the battle between the two monsters.
The temple was standing o the top of a mountain, much smaller and thinner than the one Anton was standing on but it was still enough to carry the Ice Temple. When Anton looked at the water, which was expanding to his feet, he noticed how close he was to landing inside it.
*Why was I even so scared of water, I mean I am a pretty good swimmer and I like the water normally*
Anton observed the water more carefully and when he touched it, it didn't feel like water. It felt like something slimy, he tried pushing his hand into the slimy water but the slimy water was just too strong and his hand could only bend the surface.
*What is going on here? This isn't normal water, this seems like something slimy, and it is too dense for me to push through it.*
Anton was wondering what this was about and where did his teacher go? When he looked at the slimy water an idea came to mind, Anton sat one foot on the slimy water and then another. He was standing on the slimy water.
*I can't believe this is real, I am walking on water. If someone saw me, what would they think?*
He was standing on the slimy water and was putting one foot before another, slowly walking in the direction of the Ice Temple. Since Aldergon was away, he saw his chance to get into the Ice temple.
If Aldrgon was here, he would have stopped Anton because what he is doing now is a big mistake but Aldergon wasn't here and there was no one to stop Anton. The slimy water was formed like a dome and the top of the dome was the Ice Temple.
Anton made it safely over the slimy water and stood before the door of the Ice Temple, and with a creaking sound, the door opened. Anton walked through the door inside the Ice Temple and what he saw inside shocked him.
Inside the broke Ice Temple, there was a big table and many players were sitting at the table but they were frozen for a long, long time. Anton walked around them and touched them one after another.
It were exactly twelve players, who were being frozen but there were three chairs without a player. It was the three chairs at the top of the table, Anton sat at the top seat and looked down the table.
He looked at the faces of the frozen players and a thought came to his mind.
*If I use my fire, would they be freed? But there has to be a reason for them being frozen*
After thinking about it thoroughly, Anton decided not to use his fire powers. He stood up again and walked to the broken down area of the Temple, when he got there he could see a hole in the bottom of the temple.
Anton jumped away from the hole, two eyes were looking at him from beneath the hole. It was the eyes of a powerful monster, the monster didn't seem to be able to do anything but still, it scared the shit out of him.
Roarrrrrrr
Suddenly Anton heard the roar of a Dragon, he hurriedly turned around and started running in the direction of the door. He just got out of the door when he saw a dragon head about his head, he looked up and could see Aldergon.
[I really did catch a problematic student]
"I am sorry, I just wanted to see what was inside"
[(chuckle) I know, so do you want it explained?]
To Anton's surprise, his teacher wasn't angry at him instead, he was understanding. But how should the dragon enter the Temple? His question was answered quickly, Aldergon was shining in white light and was slowly getting smaller.
Aldergon who was a Dragon until now was suddenly a Human standing before Anton. A smile appeared on Aldergon's face when he saw Anton's expression.
[You don't need to be so stunned, every Dragon can do that]
"That's cool, why don't you do it more often?"
[Are you crazy? I don't want to be an insect too often]
*Oh yes, it is so bad to be a human*
Anton shook his head but he didn't say anything, and just followed Aldergon inside.
Aldergon opened his mouth and started speaking.
[Anton, since you became my student I will have to tell you about the history of the dragons]
*The history of the Dragons, finally I get to learn something*
Aldergon talked about how the Dragons first appeared in the tower.
[Just like your kind, my kind also lived peacefully in this universe until one day, two beings appeared before our leader and abducted him. After that, they allowed us to rescue him by participating in this tower]
The dragons did that and soon freed their leader but the two beings weren't happy about that and enslaved some of the dragons. Aldergon was still a child back then and couldn't fight his way outside so he was damned to stay inside the tower.
[After that I got trained by the other Dragons and became a boss of a level, just like the other dragons. I was the boos of the eightieth level and in all the years no player ever managed to beat me, so about a hundred years ago, the two beings came to me and freed me of my duties]
"But why didn't you go back to your world?"
[I couldn't they only allowed me to freely move inside the tower, so I made my home here. After coming here, other players and dragons also came to this place because it wasn't under the rule of the two beings.]
[We made plans on how to kill the two beings, we were so close before killing them until the only human player betrayed us. The players you see here frozen are my comrades from that time]
Now it made sense to Anton, why there were two chairs without a frozen player, one free chair was from his teacher and the other was from the human player. But what about the third chair without a frozen player?
[You are wondering about this chair aren't you, it was the chair of my first student]
His teacher touched the chair with his human hands and a tear fell on the chair. Aldergon finished his explanation of how the dragons appeared in the tower and how this temple was made but Anton still had one question.
"What is this slimy water outside the temple, and when I looked through that hole, two eyes looked at me"
Aldergon looked at Anton and quickly rushed over to the hole and put his hands above it, then he started to murmur a prayer and the slimy water started to appear.
*What, my teacher is the one who made the slimy water?*
Anton was a bit hooked and looked at Aldergon who finished the prayer.
[Anton, this is the first skill I will teach you, it is a curtain that traps your enemies inside it, it doesn't matter how strong they are, they can never escape it if they don't know the skill]
"So, who did you trap underneath it?"
Aldergon's face changed and he spoke in a hateful voice.
[The one who betrayed us]
