Chapter 26 - Chapter 26~Clearing the first floor I~

"Shit did they have to overdo it? Now we have to build this shit hole up again!"

"Boss.. it seems that the Community of Heaven already paid for this land."

"What, they bought it, how can they have so much money?"

"I am sorry boss but I don't know how."

"Mhm, if even you don't know how then I guess we won't find out how! But it is better this way, the city doesn't need to pay for this shit hole!"

Two men were standing at the beginning of the poor district, before them was the battlefield of Ben and Uriel. The whole poor district was destroyed, not even one hut remained standing, and the wind hissed over the lone land, which was once the poor district.

The two men looked at the wasteland for a long time, and a feeling of loneliness began filling their hearts. It was weird, could what has happened here also happen to them in the rich part of the city? It was the first time, that a big fight happened like this, even in the poor district.

Mostly players and people get lured into the poor district and get robbed or if they have bad luck, they get killed. There are around 10,000 registered murders in the poor district per year and the estimated number of unregistered murders is 3,000, which is a very low number if you set it besides the number of citizens living in the whole city.

Around 10,000,000 players and people live in the whole city, and about 500,000 live in the poor district. The reason for the low murders is, that there are hefty punishments and the players and people have better things to do, if they want to kill someone, they do it in the levels because there are no punishments.

Because of the low murder rate, the city is also called Sky Cloud City. Sky Cloud City is divided into eleven, now twelve districts, and each district belongs to a guild, there was also the poor district, just a day ago.

[The ten districts are named after the guilds:

The three districts in the north are the districts of ones ranked second to fourth best guilds:

2. Blessed Stars

3. Mighty ones

4. The twelve Apostle

The three districts which are in the middle are the ones ranked fifth to seventh:

5. Eyes that see everything

6. Darkness behind light

7. Fallen Stars

The last three in the south are the ones ranked eighth to tenth:

8. 7 knights

9. Destroyers

10. The light

The eleventh district, the poor district isn't named on the list, it has no guild]

There was also another reason, why Sky Cloud City was called Sky Cloud City, which is simple. High up in the sky, nearly out of sight, there is one big cloud and many smaller ones, linked together like a chestnut leaf.

That's where Sky Cloud City is originally from, a city in the sky, on clouds, and that's also where the first-ranked guild resides. The name of the guild is unknown by the public and only known by the heads of the top eight guilds.

Now the interesting topic is, what happens with the district of the Fantastic Five guild? Their district is in the middle of the 'Eyes that see everything' guilds district because of that a meeting will be held today.

The two men turned around and started to go up the long stairs, which lead up to the entrance of the Fallen stars district.

When he opened his eyes again, he was flying in the air, on a fluffy something. He sat himself up and looked around, all he saw was air, the air was beside him and above him. When he looked at the ground, all he saw was a big city surrounded by giant mountains, but when he tried looking behind the mountains a sharp pain hit his eyes, it felt like glass was cutting his eyes.

"Don't try to look that way, no one can see behind"

He wanted to open his eyes and look who talked to him, but the moment he opened them again, the pain in the eyes came back.

"You won't be able to open them for a week, that is the punishment for looking where no one should look"

He was thinking about what rubbish this player was talking to him, but he didn't dare to open his eyes again instead, he used his mouth.

"Why am I in the sky?"

"That is easy to answer, I pulled you up here!"

His memory was slowly coming back, his name, who he was and what happened in his whole life up till yesterday before he got punished in the neck by Uriel.

"What did you do to me?"

The player was a bit surprised by his quick question, and it took a few seconds before the player answered.

"After your first use of 'First Angel descendants' you forget all your memory and regain it at once to get enlightenment."

Ben understood it, without really understanding it but when he thinks about it, he can feel things he didn't feel before, he feels the nature surrounding him.

"The first task, I the mighty Uriel will give you as your senior is, to see without seeing!"

"Bye bye"

Ben was stunned by her words, what did it even mean, and why is she giving tasks to him? Didn't she want to kill him yesterday?

"Wait, stay here!"

"But I am staying here!"

When Ben heard the words he felt why Uriel's presence was moving away from him, it wasn't because she was flying away, it was because he was falling away!

Ben was falling, he didn't know what to do or how he should even safely land on the ground. When he thought about it, it was impossible for him, he was too high up in the sky and he couldn't use his normal Angel transformation.

If Ben was able to open his eyes and see that Sky Cloud City and the mountains, he would be astonished by the breathtaking sight. The gold and white of the City reflected the sunlight and the City looked like it was one big pile of gold.

The mountains surrounding the City gave off a vibe of peace because of the snow peaks and the forest underneath the snow peaks. It all looked like a fantasy world but Ben sadly didn't see this view of the city, if he did no one could guess how strong he would become.

Then Apostles of the Community of heaven have always achieved enlightenment inside the Sky Cloud City, it is even rumoured that they would get more enlightenment if they would be able to visit the Flying Cloud City (Where the first guild resigns).

No Apostle ever saw the mountains, it was because they just were too weak at the beginning stages and after the fifth level, no one returned to this city. The reason for that is that Sky Cloud city is only the starting point for the guilds and players.

The real guild homes are on level fifty, level fifty is the only level with a boss fight who isn't on the floor instead, the boss is in another dimension and you can get there through a special portal. So that means the whole level fifty is used as a home for the 10 big guilds and many players without a guild, who live a normal life there.

*Maybe he will be able to get there*

[He will get there for sure, I mean he is my Apostle]

*You are here, that's good. Were you satisfied with him?*

[Yes, and thank you for giving in to my request]

*Yeah, yeah, now I want 1,000,000 coins in my account right now*

[Ok ok, wait a second]

Cling Cling

~1,000,000 coins recived~

*I don't need to say it, but you are rich my lady*

[And you are greedy, little girl]

Uriel turned around and held her hand up in the sky, a dark bluish portal appeared where her hand once was and she jumped inside and disappeared into the portal. Ben instinctively turned around where Uriel once stood, he had felt her disappearing.

*Wierd, there is nothing. But I could swear that I felt something happening up there*

Ben turned his body and head around again so that it was facing the ground again. He was constantly thinking about what he can do or what his chances for survival were.

His answer to that was 0%, his mythic power was still regenerating and it was too soon to use the normal Angel transformation. But not all hope was lost, maybe, just maybe it will work, he came up with a plan to not die.

*Ok, I am really gonna do this! Am I really gonna do this? Shit, get your head together Ben, you need to do it*

He was constantly arguing with himself instead of thinking up a plan that would work. He debated and debated over his plan nearly the whole time, he felt himself accelerating and accelerating.

His body was getting hotter and a picture formed in his mind, a picture of a meteor falling from the sky. It was a frightening picture, if his plan fails not only he, but a lot of ordinary people and players will die from his impact.

*Oh no oh no, don't think about that, your plan will succeed 100%, just focus!*

He was encouraging himself that he wouldn't fail, it was important for him that no innocent civilian would die because of him.

He felt the ground getting closer and closer, if he would have to guess he would estimate, that he was about 500 meters above the ground. Unfortunately, or in this situation fortunately he couldn't open his eyes and see the ground coming closer and closer.

*If you think about it, I was really high up in the sky. I am already falling for about five minutes and I am falling at around 200 kmh or something like that!*

Ben focused all his mythic power in his hands, he planned to stop his impact by shooting the mythic energy out of his hands, to generate another impact force. This impact force should stop him, and even push him a little bit back again.

The ground was now only about 200 meters away and he was about to shoot out his energy but he wasn't able to do it.

Everything stopped, Ben stopped falling to the ground, and the players and people walking and talking in the streets. No nosy was heard, neither from the birds who always sing their songs nor from the players and people talking on the streets, the whole city was quiet, even the wind.

[Space-Time array activated]

[Sector 6009, closed!]

[All movements are altered]

[Finished with altering the movements]

[Sector 6009 is open again]

[Space-Time array is finished]

Time began moving again, and the players and people continued walking and talking. The birds continued to sing their songs as if nothing happened, the only one who had changed was Ben.

Ben's mythic energy wasn't there anymore, and so was his speed from falling. But he still fell to the ground, this time it was only 10 meters and made an easy landing, by instinctively holding onto the roof of a house and balancing himself down to the ground.

He landed safely on the ground by doing a roll in mid-air, he landed on his feet and tried to open his eyes again but he had to close them quickly again. The pain was still there but he saw where he was, and he was lucky.

He was standing right in front of his guild house, his second home. He decide to walk over, still in a kind of trance not realising what had happened. When he opened the door, he was slammed down by someone hugging him.

"Where were you, Ben? Why did you leave a note, saying that if you don't show up the next morning you will be dead?"

Oh right, he did that.

"When you weren't here this next morning we all began searching for you, and that was when we heard of what happened in the poor district."

Ben wasn't able to say something, small tears appeared in both of his eyes, and he wasn't able to answer the player, who was still holding him. He slowly opened his mouth and managed to answer in a trembling voice.

"I am sorry Luca, I made a mistake... If you get up I will tell you what happened."

The other slowly let go of him, and Ben was bale to get up. Then they both went inside the house and closed the door.
