As Vanessa followed the prince into his office, she felt a subtle sense of oppression as if the Prince was angry at something.
Was he angered that she had come in late? Or that she had fallen asleep in his room? Should she apologize?
As she tried to gather her thoughts, Prince Klyde ordered, “Tell the butler to prepare the carriage. We will be going to the market. But before that, there are a few sheets of paper on my table. You will separate them in order, and then I want you to put the wax on them and hand them to the butler to post them.”
Vanessa nodded her head and quickly hurried into the corridor to give the butler the prince’s order before returning to the now-empty office. Wondering where the prince had now disappeared, She walked towards the table, starting to go through the documents to arrange them.
