As Vanessa looked up, she saw Prince Kaine staring at her. Hurriedly looking away, Vanessa tried to shrink into herself, but Prince Kaine continued angrily, “Step out of the carriage, you slave. How dare you not pay respects to me?”
Nervously, Vanessa opened the door and jumped out of the carriage, bowing deeply. “Greetings, Prince Kaine.”
Prince Kaine nodded his head, “Slaves should know their place. Now, why are you here?”
Vanessa gulped. Ever since Prince Kaine almost killed her, she felt too nervous about this prince. It was as if he epitomized every bad thing she had heard about the vampires.
“Prince Klyde ordered me to stay here.”
Kaine narrowed his eyes as he glanced at the apothecary behind him. ‘Klyde was here?’
