When Jayna opened her eyes, Edward sat down beside Jayna. There is a feeling of
Jade, who was passing by in front of the room, heard Jayna raving and saw his younger sister hugging.
"What happened?" Jade entered the room.
Edward accidentally met Jade's eyes when he entered the room because the door was deliberately left open, at that time he only signaled with his palm to indicate that they were okay.
Jayna, who was still sobbing in Edward's arms, made Jade just stand behind them waiting for an explanation from them about what was going on at that time.
"Relax Jay, you're safe. It's okay.." Edward said, calming Jayna gently.
Jade stepped closer to the two of them, then patted Edward's shoulder as a signal to release his arms from Jayna. Edward let go of his arms on Jayna and let Jade take his place to calm Jayna down.
Jade sat beside Jayna who was sobbing and holding his hand.
"What's wrong Jay? Why are you crying?" Jade gently asked.
Jade was ready to beat Edward if he was the one who caused Jayna to cry. Because Jade already had a feeling that something was wrong between the two of them. 'They must be in trouble, Edward not like usual till he has to follow Jayna here. There must be something wrong between them,' Jade thought at the time.
Jayna was silent, she was confused whether to explain her dream to Jade or not. Jade must have just thought of it as an ordinary sleeping flower even though she told it.
"I, it's just a bad dream. It felt like drowning, until it was hard for me to breathe. Sorry for causing a ruckus." Jayna smiled faintly as he wiped the tears from his cheeks.
"It is okay. Here." Jade hugged Jayna.
'Almost someone got hurt when came back from here' Jade thought with relief.
"Next time, don't sleep before sunset like this Jay. that's why you're having nightmares like this." Jade patted Jayna's back.
"Take a shower first, let's calm down." Add Jade again.
"Yes, I got it." Jayna let go of Jade's arms as she lowered her legs and stood up. Jade got up and hugged Edward out of the room as he closed the door, letting Jayna go take a shower.
Jayna stepped into the bathroom, she stopped in front of a mirror in the bathroom and turned on the sink faucet. Jayna washed her swollen face with warm water that came out of the faucet. Inside she looked at her face reflected in the mirror.
'Why lately this strange dream always comes anyway' Jayna cursed.
She thought back to the incident in her dream just now. Because it feels so real that it still makes her goosebump. What does this dream mean? The only difference is where she wakes up. 'This time in a stone-walled place' she thought.
After she thought about it, her head jerked as she realized something.
'It's not a rock cave, it's a tree root too. In a different place. Looks like someone tried to cover the hole that became the entrance to the root with some big boulders.' Jayna spoke in her own mind. She remembered seeing a big tree that was towering high with very large roots leaving no leaves and only dry twigs, right behind the big rocks.
Jayna slapped her cheeks with her hands that were still wet with water.
"Watch out, Jayna. It's just a dream. Dream! Don't overdo it. Just a coincidence! It's a coincidence." Jayna muttered to herself in the mirror.
She decided to put an end to the argument in her head and walked towards the shower room in the bathroom. She turned on the shower and cleaned herself with warm water that refreshed her body and head. The smoke that evaporated from the water that fell on the floor, filled the entire bathroom. When Jayna closed her eyes enjoying the freshness of the warm water flowing through her body, suddenly a flash of image, flashed through her head. It is not clear what, for sure it made Jayna flinch and shudder. She quickly turned off the shower and ran with wet feet. While pulling the towel hanging on the side of the sink, her wet feet accidentally slipped. She fell on her knees with her hands on the sink table. She groaned and got up running again with a towel in a hurry.
She hastily put on her clothes carelessly. She came out with the towel still on her head. Her chest thumped racing with her gasping breaths as she ran barefoot into the living room.
There was Jade's father-in-law who had just arrived after dropping off his grandson, Rayan. Jade took Rayan who had fallen asleep from his grandfather's arms.
Everyone there gawked at the presence of Jayna. Her face was pale as if she had seen a ghost.
"What's wrong with your knee, Jay?" Jake asked while looking at Jayna's injured knee.
"Knee? No.." Jayna stopped her sentence when she looked down at her bleeding knees.
"Injured, fell in the bathroom I guess?..." Jayna added doubtfully.
"I guess?" Jade, who was confused by Jayna's behavior, repeated the point from Jayna's answer.
"Oh, sorry. I was in a hurry when I heard that Jake was coming." Jayna stammered.
"Are you wearing those shorts?" Rayan's Grandma scolds Jayna.
"Oh, this. Earlier, ah… That was wrong. Sister, can you come with me to the room for a bit?" Jayna was confused and getting nervous grabbed June's arm.
June immediately pulled Jayna back to the room without saying much.
"What are you doing Jay, how come your leg got injured like this?!" June closed the door.
"You are this messed up. You know my father and mother want to come, instead they come out wearing these short pants." June took out a pair of long pajama pants from Jayna's suitcase.
"Sorry Sis, I was in a hurry when I heard Jake's voice coming." Jayna made her excuse sound plausible.
"Clean your wound first, then use it." June gave the pants to Jayna.
"Do not go. Wait a moment!" Jayna held June's hand who was about to step out.
June was just confused by Jayna's sudden strange behavior. She couldn't understand why Jayna's knees could be hurt like that.
Jayna hastily wiped her wound with a tissue in the buffet then put on her pants and left the towel on her head still rolled up like ice cream. She dragged June's arm out of the room.
Jade was seen escorting Rayan's grandparents outside, and seemed to be going home. Jayna slowed her steps so as not to run into them again.
Edward, who was sitting on Jake's lap, waved to Jayna. June let out her hand from Jayna with a smile leaving her and walking towards her parents who said goodbye to Jade.
Jayna came to Edward and sat beside him. A small pinch landed on Edward's waist.
"What are you doing here?" Jayna spoke softly while clenching his teeth.
Edward just grimaced a little while rubbing his waist which was like being bitten by an ant because of Jayna's pinch.
