Chapter 9 - Give me my suitcase!!

Edward returned to the office after dropping Leina to her boutique. On the way to the office, his mind was racing. 'How to deal with Jayna' Edward thought as he hit the steering wheel of the car he was controlling. Edward took his cell phone from his pocket and looked for Amee's name in his contact list, then pulled over to the side of the road. He had time to contact Amee to ask about Jayna's condition. But in the end he kept pressing the call button on Amee's contacts. After the third ring, Amee answered Edward's call.

"Good morning Mr Edward, can I help you?" Answered Amee on the other side.

"Hello Amee, I'm still on my way back to the office. Mmh… How's the office?" Edward asked while biting his lip.

"Hmm..? Office? The office is fine as usual, Mr. Edward." Amee answered doubtfully. And she suddenly jerked her finger. She understood what Edward meant, and what answer Edward wanted to hear at that moment.

"Aaaaee.. Miss Jayna, sir, it's fine, sir." Amee added immediately.

"Thank You Am, but it's really nothing right?" Edward who sighed still hesitated.

"No sir, it's safe. Later at lunch, I will accompany Miss Jayna for a meeting." Amee's voice trailed off doubtfully.

Edward was silent for a moment, he understood. This means that Jayna is still very angry with him and does not want to meet him first.

"Okay, Am. Thank you for the information. I'll continue driving to the office again then." Edward ended the call.

Edward leaned his head against the back of his driver's seat. He exhaled loudly from his mouth. He put his head on the steering wheel and leaned back again. He felt stupid for yelling at Jayna who wasn't even involved with his problem and Leina.

"Oh what a fool!" He muttered then pressed the gas pedal of his car.

Arriving, Edward went straight to his room with a wrinkled facial expression. Before he could open the door to his room, Levi suddenly stopped him at the door.

"Sorry Mr. Edward, Miss Jayna asked me to meet you when you arrived at the office. She said I had to take Miss Jayna's things that were left in Mr. Edward's car." Levi explained at length what he meant.

"Oh, it's Jayna stuff, isn't it?" Edward remembered his promise to drop Jayna off this afternoon.

"Yes sir, those items" Levi agreed, although he didn't know which item he was referring to.

"Tell Jayna, I'll just leave the stuff in my car. I'll pick her up after the meeting at the meeting place. Just let me know." Edward walked past Levi into his room.

"But sir.." Levi held Edward's arm.

"Ah, let me tell Jayna later." Edward added.

"But sir.." Levi pulled Edward's hand again.

"What about Lev?" Edward was getting annoyed.

"Miss Jayna said I have to go back to Miss Jayna's room with Ms.Jayna's things with me." Levi hastily said it.

"Yeah, I'll tell you later. Don't worry, just go back to your work!" Throw Edward at Levi.

Levi let go of Edward's hand and hurried back to his desk.

Ting.

Message from edward on Jayna's phone notification screen.

EDWARD: Levi already told you. Let your things in my car, Jay. Tell me when you're done with the meeting, let me pick you up.

JAYNA: You don't have to. Just give it to Levi. I'm too lazy to deal with you at this time.

EDWARD: Come on, man, don't be like a kid. You're the one who said just now, you have to be professional.

JAYNA: During business hours. Beyond that, we don't need a professional relationship.

EDWARD: Let me know when the meeting is over.

Jayna slams his cell phone on the table in annoyance after reading Edward's message. But he took out his cell phone again and called Levi.

"Get my stuff from Edward's car, Now!" Before Levi could answer, Jayna had ended the call.

Levi immediately ran back to Edward's room.

"Sir, I'm sorry." Levi entered hesitantly into Edward's room.

Edward just sighed heavily and reached into his pocket. He took out his car keys and gave them to Levi.

"Sorry Sir." Levi took the key from Edward's hand and left the room.

Ting.

EDWARD: Levi's taking your things.

Jayna only read Edward's message through the notification bar.

Amee and Levi waited for Jayna in the office lobby to go together to the promised place to hold a meeting.

They arrived at the cafe yard which was the meeting place this time. Amee and Jayna walked towards the cafe. After explaining their needs to the cafe staff, they were led to an outdoor area on the second floor. There were waiting for two men in neat shirts. They stood up and smiled at Amee and Jayna and shook hands.

"Sorry for the wait." Jayna made small talk.

"Ah, we just arrived too." One of them answered.

"So how? Can we start right away?" Asked Jayna.

"Wow, Ms. Jayna is like a rumor circulating, isn't it?" One of them squeaked. 'That's Harry, someone that Edward told me about last night' Jayna thought.

"Gossip? What gossip? I don't understand what you mean, sir." Jayna sat up straight.

"Oh, not bad gossip, miss. Take it easy." Harry replied with a small smile.

"I don't know what gossip is about. But I hope it's gossip that doesn't have a bad effect on our cooperation this time." Jayna's cold response made the two men pause and clear their throats while looking at each other.

"So can we start?" Although still curious, Jayna continued.

"Yes, of course. Please, miss, just start." The man next to Harry agreed.

Jayna signaled to Amee to start presenting the material that had been revised from the first meeting.

Harry ushered Amee and Jayna down the stairs and toward the cashier. As Jayna pulled the card out of his wallet Harry held his hand.

"Let me pay miss." Hold Harry onto Jayna.

"Oh, fine. Thanks then." Said Jayna as she put the card back into her wallet.

"Ah it's nothing to miss. Thank you for the meeting today. Really, I'm really looking forward to our cooperation." Harry said after handing the card to the cashier.

"Okay sir, I hope our cooperation goes smoothly." Jayna nodded and walked to Levi's car outside after saying goodbye.

'Hah, small talk is exhausting especially without Edward.' Jayna thought as she sat in the car.

Usually it was Edward who played the small talk role in every meeting with any client. Jayna always ran off first with the excuse of going to the toilet and Edward was very understanding to end the meeting immediately.

"Luckily Edward wasn't coming today. Otherwise, today's meeting could be longer." Jayna grumbled. Amee and Levi just stood there in silence. They understand very well that their boss really hates attending meetings with clients. Because the client this time asked to directly deal with the number one person in the company, that's why Jayna intervened directly.

"Where are we going, Miss?" Levi asked.

"Take me straight to my brother Jade's house, Lev. You can go home after that. This is my card, you can use it for dinner." Amee took out a black card. Amee smiled at the card in her hand. Even though he couldn't see it, Levi also smiled at her.
