The sunlight shines on those who seem to be supporting what they are feeling.
"Look at that!" Joey pointed at one of the bodies that suddenly lay weak, they rushed to that body.
After be laid down, blood can be seen gushing from the wounds carved into that man's body.
"What happened to this man?" asked Tania.
Of course that question is also the same in the minds of others.
"There is only one possibility, this man is the victim from Kegure we are looking for!" Joey gave a word that he deliberately made horror to scare his comrades.
Here only Lilia is afraid of that opinion, for Tsurugi and Tania don't think that story is a horror thing at all.
Tsurugi never knew the creatures they were going to fight, but he could assume the creatures they were about to face had quite troublesome abilities, no need to ask, it was clear the monster named Kegure had a dangerous ability.
"What are we going to do with this body? Shall we just leave him?"
"Surely we have to make a proper funeral for this person, we may not know who he is, but his soul will surely be delighted if we do!" Lilia gave a sincere explanation, indeed she is a Mage who has high spiritual knowledge.
Tsurugi actually doesn't care what will happen, but here he can only follow the wishes of those three people.
"Huh… are you sure you want to make a funeral for this person?"
"If Lilia has insisted like that, we'd better do it!" said Joey in a slightly reluctant tone.
Tsurugi suddenly stepped forward, they didn't know what that man was going to do.
Click!
Suddenly the ground shook revealing a large hole, those who saw this became shocked.
"H-How can you do this?" Lilia asked.
"Huh? I have, a little bit of the ability to make a hole like this!" Tsurugi coldly replied.
Lilia became fascinated, she didn't know if this was true or not, but Tsurugi's words already symbolized a great power.
After that, they started to say prayers guided by Lilia.
"O souls of the dead, we hope you will rest in peace there! Let us who are here get guidance from you, we hope to be a better person!"
Tania and Joey put their hands together, while Tsurugi didn't do it at all. He just waited for those three people from a distance.
His serious face continued to emit an intimidating aura. "Really! Maybe if I were a normal being like them, I would have done the same! However, this me has already surpassed the limits of a normal creature!"
"Sorry for the long wait!" said Joey.
"Come on, we don't have much time left!"
They continued their journey, and not long after, they found a cave. There was clearly visible that was a nest of the monsters, the smell and texture of that cave caused a bad feeling.
"Is that monster inside here?" Tania doesn't want any mistakes in their journey.
"Wait a minute, let me take a look first!"
From the map Joey saw, they had to enter a large cave which identified it as the location of the Kegure's lair.
"There's no mistaking it, this is the location of the creature we're looking for!"
"If that's really the case, we must enter this cave soon!" Tsurugi gave his firm words and instantly caused those three people there to nod.
With great courage they entered it, the dark cave with high humidity really gave a sign that place had a real horror.
Lilia who was holding the staff became a savior to light up their journey.
Suddenly a strange sound came from the road in front of them, the darkness of the atmosphere added to the chills in the heart.
They would never have expected this was all auspicious, not long after that a strange creature with red eyes appeared and jumped at Lilia.
Lilia's eyes bulged, she was unable to blink. That monster's movements were too fast it would be very difficult for her to act.
Crash...
Lilia's mouth had dropped open, at that moment she was saved by Joey who took action.
"Phew… almost!"
One kegure was lying with a body that kept bleeding blue.
"I didn't expect this creature would attack under these condition!" said Tania in a tone that was horrified towards the corpse of the kegure.
They still had a long way to go, and there wasn't much time for them to keep thinking. Feet began to walk again through the cave.
The longer the atmosphere became more terrifying, their bodies shivered because of the cold air that gently touched the body's skin.
"Now what should we do?" asked Tania.
Here they find confused with forked roads, and no map to guide them where to go.
"Left or right?" Joey clutched his chin, this confusion kept him thinking hard, but this was indeed a very difficult thing to determine, the slightest mistake would put them in bad shape. "Tsurugi, which path do you think we should choose?"
Asking Tsurugi was the right choice for Joey, here Tsurugi chose to remain silent, he just wanted to see how those three people would act. But, after getting that question, of course he had to give an answer.
Tsurugi started to walk, he was in front of the two branches, to him they all looked the same. Nothing really makes it anything special.
"We might have to go to the left, when compared to the road, the road on the right is much dirtier and seems to indicate that location is often used by monsters, while the path on the left shows nothing as if it is rarely passed!"
These words made them a little conscious, but it was still questionable whether Tsurugi's words were the truth or not. The worst possibility here will still happen, they don't know which way will later give a truth. And, here everything that is done must be careful.
"How do you know about this?" Tania asked a question that represented all curiosity of her two comrades who also gave a glance towards Tsurugi.
"I used to do a quest like this a lot!" Tsurugi answered briefly, but had the meaning of a high belief that his words were not a lie.
"Okay! If what you say is indeed the truth, then there is no harm in following what has been said!"
