Chapter 1 - Issue #1

" By the power vested in me, I now declare you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." The father spoke. He smiled at the two in front of them and watched as they grinned at each other.

" Hard ta believe this is actually happenin." The man spoke

" I know. It seems like so long ago now that we first met. So, much has happened. Good." The lady replied.

" And bad. But if it means I get ta be with you for the rest of ma life, then I'd happily do it all again." The man exclaimed.

" I love you."

" I love ye too."

Ian smiled and started reaching for his wife's veil all the while thinking to himself.' How did I end up here? How did all of this start?' Ian asked himself. ' Oh, yeah. I remember now.'

A few years ago

Ian Sinclair hobbled towards his classroom, carefully. His unkempt, auburn hair falling down his face and barely blocking his vision. He wasn't a sickly boy, but he was still a small teen. His small, unathletic stature was due mostly in part to an unfortunate illness he was born with.

See, Ian was unfortunately born with osteogenesis Imperfecta, or brittle bone disease. His bones are extremely fragile and could break with the slightest of mishaps, falling down, standing up to quickly, jerking around, anything could cause the poor boy to break his legs. However, that doesn't mean he is immobile. He can still walk around with the help of his two forearm canes. They allowed him to use his arms to keep himself up.

Of course, there were times when it was necessary for Ian to sit down. See Ian's natural eye color is bright green, but when his disease flares they turn so blue they almost appear to be luminescent.

That's not all though, Ian was born with... Another form of mutation. An X-Gene. A mutation in human DNA created Millions of years ago by the celestials. This change in DNA produces a supernatural phenomenon, giving the hosts special abilities. In some cases, you may be given the almighty control over Magnetic fields or be given control over the very weathers of the earth itself, fires to burn hell, the ability to freeze hell, claws that can slice through nearly anything, or concussive blasts of energy. So, many amazing possibilities. But for Ian he's been given the not-so-great ability... To Adapt. But for some reason, he can't figure out how his ability works.

" It's a real bummer, folks. I can't even walk on ma own, without the risk of breaking ma neck." Ian complained. " Look ye don't need to narrate my life story. I can do that on ma own." Ian replied. The Scott-Irish born boy struggled to continue moving on without taking the time to consult with his narrator and creator.

" What the bloody are you on about? Listen here lad. Just cuz I'm on crutches doesn't mean I won't cane ya."

Okay, kid settle down. Just go ahead and get to class before Miss Frost decides to throw you down a flight of stairs.

" I'm goin, I'm goin. Hey, you guys reading this. Make sure ta read along carefully. I might just blow ye minds." Ian spoke.

" What did I just say?!" Ian complained.
