Chapter 16 - Stranger

Hanna who was already outside and saw that there Adel in car. She got into the car.

"Finally we can go together," said Adel.

"Yes I'm very happy that we can finally go together again," Hanna replied when she saw Adel's happy face.

They chatted with each other in the car until they got to where they wanted to go. Hanna suddenly felt awkward when she entered the place and saw many people who brought their partners.

"Hanna, let's play billiard," said Adel.

"You're not playing with your boyfriend?" Hanna asked.

"Relax. You said that you never played billiards, I'll teach you here," Adel offered.

They played while laughing occasionally until someone who had just arrived stopped their activities.

"Who are they?" Hanna asked.

Hanna is introduced to Adel's lover and friend of Adel's lover who seems to like Hanna.

"Let's just chat on the couch," Will said.

Hanna smiled stiffly and was forced to accept Will's invitation. She was scared, but still trying to calm down. She did not want Adel to be embarrassed because of him.

"Hey, Hanna. Why are you daydreaming?" asked Will.

"Huh? No, I'm just listening to you," Hanna replied.

"Okay, you need to drink. Looks like you're not getting enough fluids," Will ordered.

Will called the waiter. He took two bottles of drink and handed one to Hanna and one to him.

"Will, sorry I didn't drink this," Hanna said.

"Hanna, just once is fine. I'll take you home later!" shouted Adel who was clinging to his boyfriend from a distance.

Hanna gulped down the drink so fast that she immediately coughed as she felt the drink burn her throat.

"Don't drink it too fast," Will scolded.

"I'm going to the toilet," Hanna said, coughing.

Hanna went to the toilet followed by Will from behind. Will was scared of Hanna for something, especially the toilet outside the pool area. He was guarding in front while smoking. He stubbed out the cigarette when Hanna was out.

"Hanna, are you okay?" asked Will.

Hanna clutched her dizzy head and leaned against the wall. Will held Hanna in his arms and gently rubbed Hanna's back.

"Hanna, let's go inside. Why are you sleeping?" Will asked surprised.

Will pulled Hanna's body against the wall, then he brought his face closer to Hanna's.

"Who are you?" asked Will.

Will suddenly fell when he was suddenly hit in the face. He was surprised to see someone wearing a mask in front of him and took Hanna. He walked backwards, but a bullet pierced his leg making him nearly fall.

"This girl is mine, you must never touch her!" shouted the masked man.

"Where are you taking her?" asked Will.

Will limped after the man carrying Hanna, but the car had already left him.

Hanna who was in the car kept delirious during the trip.

"Edgar," Hanna called.

Edgar looked at Hanna after removing the mask he was wearing. He caressed Hanna's red cheeks.

"You naughty girl. How dare you lie to your boyfriend," said Edgar.

Edgar called Gustav to take care of the man he had shot after seeing Hanna asleep.

"Mr. Odilio, there was a report that your girlfriend friend's wanted to report to the police about Ms. Hanna who suddenly disappeared," said Gustav.

"You take care of them and don't let them bother me," Edgar ordered.

"Okay," said Gustav.

When Edgar's car arrived at the nearest hotel, Edgar immediately picked up Hanna and took her to the hotel. He took the elevator after checking in. He slowly laid Hanna down on the bed when they reached the room.

"Hanna, since when have you been a drinker? You can't drink without your boyfriend. Luckily I saw. Otherwise, he will do things you don't expect, in front of the toilet too," said Edgar sniffing Hanna's breath.

Edgar wrapped Hanna's body, then he lay down on the sofa in the room.

Towards morning, the sun slipped through the hotel window curtains disturbing a woman who was still asleep.

"Where is this?" Hanna asked, holding her head and staring at the ceiling.

Hanna immediately got up and looked at the blanket she was wearing when she realized she was in a place she did not know.

"You have got up?" asked Edgar.

"Edgar," Hanna called, covering her mouth. She did not think she was currently with her boyfriend.

Edgar sat on the edge of the bed and handed Hanna a glass of lemon water. Hanna received a drink from Edgar and drank it while looking at Edgar with a look of fear and guilt. After she finished drinking, the glass was placed by Edgar on the table.

"I have to work today, I'm in today," said Hanna as she looked at her watch.

"It won't be a rush if you go to work now. You'd better tell your boss that you're sick today," Edgar replied.

Hanna looked at her cellphone which was on the bedside table. She took her cellphone and called Floren. Calls connected quickly, somehow she felt nervous at this time. She has never lied to her boss all this time.

"Hanna, where have you been?" asked Florence.

"Mrs. Floren, I'm sorry, today I'm not well and can't come to work," said Hanna while biting her lip.

"Okay. Adel was panicking looking for you this morning. I've been trying to calm her down. She almost wanted to report it to the police, you're like a kid who just disappeared in his eyes," replied Floren chuckling.

"I'm not going anywhere," explained Hanna.

"Yes, Hanna. You don't forget your parents permission if you want to go out at night. It's not good to go out at night. Now you rest and tomorrow don't forget to come in. Let me know if you are still sick," Floren ordered.

"Okay, Mrs. Floren. Thank you very much," said Hanna.

"You're welcome," replied Floren.

Hanna glanced at Edgar's face which looked cold after seeing that the phone line had been disconnected. It was like she did not know Edgar.

"Hanna, why are you silent? Don't you want to explain what happened last night? You didn't tell me anything, I'm your lover," said Edgar.

Edgar drew closer to Hanna, but Hanna reflexively backed away.

"Why are you afraid of me? I'm your boyfriend, but you were afraid and instead you weren't afraid of the guy last night. You want to cheat on me?" asked Edgar, holding Hanna's chin.

"No, Edgar. You misunderstood. I can explain," Hanna replied.

Edgar threw the flower vase on the table and smashed it on the floor surprising Hanna.

"Hanna, what's wrong with you? You want to take advantage of my kindness with you so that you leave without my permission?" asked Edgar.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to," Hanna replied, twisting the nightgown she was wearing.

"You better take a shower now. I'll take you home when you're done," Edgar ordered.

"Honey, I'll take a shower first. Don't be angry," replied Hanna.

"Hanna, I've bought you new clothes. I don't like seeing you looking shabby like that," said Edgar.
