Chapter 22 - Friendly

Hanna brushed Edgar's hand away. That man just smiled then got out of the car and opened the door for Hanna.

"Thank you," said Hanna.

Hanna chased after her friend who had entered first making Edgar shake his head and then entered the restaurant.

"This restaurant is really good," said Adel.

"You're tacky," Hanna sneered.

"Have you ever been to a restaurant like this?" Adel asked.

"Don't be a tacky person even if you've never been to a restaurant like this," Hanna replied.

"By the way, why is this restaurant so quiet?" Adel asked.

Hanna looked around. It was true what Adel said that this restaurant looked like no one was there and there were only a few waiters.

"Why is it so quiet?" Hanna muttered.

"Let me take you to your place," said Peter, pointing to their seats.

"Peter, why is it so quiet in here?" Adel asked making Hanna nudge her friend's arm.

"Adel, shut up," said Hanna.

They walked towards the place where they would sit and eat.

"Is that Edgar's brother?" Adel asked.

"I don't know," Hanna replied.

"Introducing my brother, his name is Max," said Edgar.

Adel bit his lip as he looked at Max who looked handsome in her opinion.

'Nice to meet you, I'm Max. We'd better sit down and have a chat together," Max said kindly.

"Okay," replied Adel.

Adel and Hanna sat down on the chairs. They then accepted the menu given by Peter.

"Thank you," said Hanna.

Hanna looked at the food menu which looked very expensive. She was confused about what to eat.

"You choose what you want," said Edgar, glancing at the two girls in front of him looking confused.

"All the food here is expensive," Adel replied making Hanna nudge her leg.

"That's fine, just pick it up," Max said casually.

"I'll just have spaghetti," Adel replied.

"My order is the same as Adel's," said Hanna. she was also confused about what to eat.

"We'll just order steak and drink which juice is the most recommended here. If there's wine, I'll order wine too," said Edgar.

Adel looked at Hanna and Hanna just shrugged her shoulders.

"What the hell? We just wanted to get to know each other, but he brought me here. Does he want to show that he can pay for food at a restaurant this expensive to me? I don't care," Hanna muttered.

Peter reread their order and then left from there. Max looked at Hanna and also at Adel, he saw his brother who seemed to be in love with a girl named Hanna.

"They're both annoying," Hanna muttered.

Hanna just turned her face the other way. She refused to meet Max and Edgar's eyes.

"I'm Edgar's younger brother. Nice to meet you again," Max said kindly.

"Yes, nice to meet you too," Hanna replied, smiling at Max.

"Are you my brother's girlfriend?" Max asked.

"We're not lovers now," Hanna replied nonchalantly.

"We're still a couple, why are you talking like that?" asked Edgar, taking Hanna's hand and holding it.

Hanna tried to pull her hand away, but could not because Edgar was gripping her hand tightly.

"Get off, Edgar!" Hanna shouted.

"Sorry, please let go of Hanna's hand," begged Adel, who felt Hanna's anger at this time.

"Edgar, just let go of him," Max said.

Edgar let go of Hanna's hand making Hanna directly stare at him sharply.

"I want to go home," Hanna said.

"Hanna, please don't fight here. We've already ordered food," said Adel who felt bad.

"Hanna, forgive my brother. Please," Max begged.

"your brother and I have broken up and I don't like being lied to," Hanna replied as she sat back down.

"Honey, what did I lie to you about?" asked Edgar clenching his jaw.

"You lied about your social status. Now that you introduce me to your brother, it could be that hisnot your brother and you tell someone else to disguise his self as his," Hanna replied.

"Honey, you're so hard to tell. He's my brother, do I need a DNA test?" asked Edgar.

"You guys don't fight. Edgar is my brother. It's none of our business if you don't believe it," said Max who couldn't contain his anger anymore.

"Excuse me. The food is ready," said Peter.

The waiters serve the food on the table along with the drinks.

"Let's eat first," said Max.

"Yeah, let's eat first. Don't fight," said Adel, holding Hanna's hand.

Hanna nodded her head. They start eating.

"Adel, is this food delicious?" Max asked.

"Delicious. What is this meat called?" Adel asked making Max chuckle.

"This is the best kind of wagyu," Max replied, taking a bite of the meat.

"Oh, it's delicious," Adel replied with a chuckle.

"Are you Hanna's close friend?" Max asked.

"Yes, we are very close. We even work in the same place," Adel replied.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" Max asked.

"Do you think I have a boyfriend or not?" Adel asked making Hanna chuckle too.

Edgar smiled as Hanna started to cheer up again.

"If you don't want an answer, that's fine," said Max, giggling.

"Already have a lover, but have broken up," replied Adel while laughing out loud.

Max also laughed when he heard Adel's words.

"You guys are a perfect match for lovers," said Hanna.

"I don't think so," Adel replied.

"Too bad. My brother has been rejected," said Edgar.

"Enough, let's just finish this expensive meat. I'll just spend it if it doesn't run out," said Ade.

"Adel, don't embarrass yourself," said Hanna.

"Embarrassing? This food is indeed expensive," replied Adel giggling as he drank the wine served.

"Your friend is unique," said Edgar.

"Yes," replied Hanna.

They chatted again after they finished eating.

"So do you believe I'm Edgar's brother? If you don't believe me, I'll bring our birth certificates with you later," said Max.

"I thought you brought the land certificate," Adel replied, making Max laugh.

"I believe. Thank you for meeting me," said Hanna.

"You're welcome. My future brother-in-law is getting better with my brother?" Max asked, elbowing Edgar.

"Yes we are fine, but where are your parents?" Hannah asked.

"Oh, my parents don't live in this country. I'm just here for the holidays," Max replied.

"I see," Hanna replied, looking into Max's eyes that didn't seem to lie.

"I promise I'll introduce you to my family soon," said Edgar.

Edgar grabbed Hanna's hand and kissed her palm gently making Hanna smile.

"Yes. Now we want to go back to work because you are about to finish lunchtime," said Hanna.

"Hanna, really fast. I'll pick you up later," replied Edgar.

"That's up to you," said Hanna.

"Okay I'll pick you up later," Edgar replied.

Hanna withdrew her hand. For some reason, she was still afraid of being lied to.

"Adel, let's go back to the cafe," said Hanna.

"Edgar, are you taking us to the cafe?" Adel asked.

"Yes, I'll take you," replied Edgar.

"I also want to go back to the office, I have work to do," said Max.

"Okay," Hanna replied.

"Max, we don't want to exchange phone numbers, maybe we can hang out together," Adel said with a wink.

"Yes," replied Max.
