Zander knocked at the open door as he stepped inside the chamber, "Can I come in?" he asked.
Morgana looked at him, "You are already in" she said.
"I wanted to be sure that you needed company." Zander said as he walked closer to the bed that she sat on, and sat down beside her.
"Do you want to tell me why you're crying?" the lord impaler asked.
"You won't understand" she said awkwardly.
"Try me." the lord impaler said.
Morgana looked at him, "It's nothing really, I normally have mood swings, that's all."
"You should have said yes." Zander suddenly said.
Morgana stared at him, clearly confused "How did you know?"
"I've seen the way he looks at you, from the very first start I knew that he had feelings for you."
"I can't reciprocate that feeling, and I can't leave Axis Mundi"
"Why not?"
"I don't feel the same way and he knows that. Carlisle and I are just friends, and I intend to keep it that way. And besides if I leave, where in all the realms will you find a good and dedicated physician like me."
Zander smiled, "Alright, I see what you are doing. You are turning the tables on me"
Morgana finally grinned, "And it's working."
"Hmm, what can I say." Zander said.
Just then, a knock was heard of the door. Ian walked in.
"My lord, I'm sorry to interrupt, but there someone that is persistently requesting to see you."
"Right now?" the lord impaler asked.
"Yes, my lord" Ian answered.
"Don't be too hard on yourself" he whispered to his physician before he and his right hand left the chamber.
Morgana sighed - Zander was right, she was being way too hard on herself. There were somethings in her life that she possibly can't control, and...
"Morgana" she heard all of a sudden, she looked up only to see the mindler god, standing near the doorway.
She faked a frowned, "What are you doing here?"
"I came to apologize" he said.
"For what exactly?"
"I shouldn't have said what I said, It wasn't right of me. I'm sorry" he said as he stepped inside the chamber.
"I didn't say you should come in, did I?" Morgana purposely said.
Carlisle moved back immediately, "I'm so sorry, it wouldn't happen again" he assured.
Morgana smiled widely, "You are such a clown" she went to him and pulled him inside.
"I shouldn't have reacted the way I did, we were both wrong." Morgana stated. "Carlisle, you deserve a goddess that really loves you, and I can't be that one"
"I understand." he said, even though he felt a bit devastated and forlorn.
Morgana hugged him tightly, "You will be alright" she assured with a soft whisper. The mindler god didn't feel like letting her go, as they shared a close embrace. But he had to, he knew that sooner or later he would have to get over Morgana Nirvana of Axis Mundi.
*****************************
"That's him, my lord" Ian informed, gesturing at a certain god that had weird markings all over his face.
"Lord impaler" the god said as he walked to Zander, but suddenly a hand held him back - Ian's hand, "Not too close" he warned.
"You wanted to see me, why?" Zander asked.
"I can hear it, can you?" the god asked.
"Hear what?" Zander asked.
"The reason why I'm here, the reason why I wanted to see you. The truth must be told."
Ian looked strangely at the god, wondering if he had allowed a deranged god near his lord.
"What truth?" Zander asked regardless of his perplexity.
"The one they kept from you. I serve the current lord of Valcrov, and has a message for you." he brought out a certain golden coin.
The god inhaled, "My work is done." he said as he quickly grabbed Ian's sword from it's sheath, and slew himself.
Zander shut his eyes for a moment. Before he opened them and looked at the golden coin - the message was loud and clear, the current lord of Valcrov is declaring war against Axis Mundi. Which practically means waging war at the great impaler and his third battalion.
