I shook my head vehemently walking out of the most disgusting sight called a Father, l placed both hands in my pocket letting out a slight sigh of relief trying to calm my nerves.
I cannot leave the Pack from now on, what a joke, that won't stop me from doing what l want to do.
"Duncan?'' I paused on my feet at the unfamiliar voice, l let go of the door knob as l slant my body toward the direction.
" Delta Bien? "I said in a pleasant tone.
" Why did you act like you didn't notice me back there? I have been waiting for hours for you to come home, just to have you ignore me, is that the right way to treat your better half?" He scoffed obnoxiously which had me smirking at his words.
"Okay, so why did you stop me?'' I said glaring at him in a questioning way.
" Why are you acting cold toward me Duncan, l had arrived since yesterday yet you didn't come to find me even once, l was trying my best to defend you earlier, even when you weren't there which had your father raising his voice at me, one thing that my father hasn't done to me, yet you came in but didn't spare me a glance."
"I'm sorry, for my Father."
"You are my mate, l should get used to it, Why did you run away from your own ceremony," he said as he walked past me pushing the door to my room open, which pissed me off, even more, l walked over to his face.
"What do you want, Bien? I don't welcome strangers in my bedroom."
"Are you calling me a stranger? I came here with your consent, you accepted me as your mate so why are you acting like I'm about to steal from your room?"
"It's just an agreement between our family for our selfish interest, don't make it look like l forced you here and I'm sure your room is comfortable enough."
"As your mate, I'm meant to stay beside you, remember? Especially in times when you need a company like this the most."
"Thank you for thinking about me, l don't need company as a matter of fact l would love to be left alone, l have so many things on my head to sort out," l mumbled nonchalantly hoping he just walk out that door and let me be but he walked closer to me instead heaving my right hand to his grip.
"You don't have to thank me for thinking about you Duncan, l mean who wouldn't be pleased to have you in their thoughts, l can make you feel better, your forehead is hitching, you should have some rest, what do you think? " he said, messaging my forehead, l sighed impatiently flinging his hand off my face as l yanked my other hand off his grip.
"Don't touch me randomly next time, you make my skin crawl."
"Are you still sulking about your Father's utterances? I also think that he went too far with his words and actions, and l won't lie l was also surprised when you left all of the sudden, I'm sure he worried about you, don't take it to heart Duncan," He said frowning cutely.
"Are you done? Well thank you for your concern, I'm sure when l need you, l know where to find you."
"Let's get to know each other more, Duncan, we are going to be living together anyway, l know I'm not supposed to lay on your bed yet and l don't have the intention at the moment if you didn't mess up the ceremony that would have been possible as it will be official but I'm certain everyone already knows me as your mate but l don't want to rush things between us." He explained tenderly which had me closing my eyes uninterestedly.
"I want to be alone, Bien can you give me a moment? I'm sure l will stop by your room and we will talk more," l said with the last streak of words to get him out of my room for good, surprisingly he nodded in agreement which had me giving a sincere smile on my lips.
"I will allow you to have some rest, Let me know if you need anything," He said swaying his peanut waist out of my room, l sighed under my breath, l will be lying if l say that Bein is not sexy, his scent is like that of strawberries, it is so fruity and sensual, his breath when he walked close to me, the confidence on his face because he knows he is hot, the way he moved his waist just now is so enticing.
I shook my head incredulously getting my thought off that direction, l closed my eyes finding comfort and warm as l opened my mind link, l need to talk to my best friend Audrey, Only he and my sister are allowed in my mind and l know he might be still there looking for me as Father ordered.
"Where are you," l asked in a low voice. My body was insanely tired but my mind was quicker than lightning emerging from the dark skies.
"I just arrived at the Pack, why didn't you talk to me sooner, l was worried sick about your sorry ass."
"Wait for me at East gate l will meet you there," l said as l headed out immediately, l know l can trust Audrey with anything, we have been friends right from childhood and he is the closest to me after my sister, even our clique of friends are jealous about that fact, but l don't think l can tell him about my latest predicament, even l don't know how to feel about it.
The East gate is where the Solidarity Prison is. Audrey is the perfect one to help me with the escape plan. Father gave him access to lead some groups of Betas in our Pack as he is an Alpha, every eligible diligent Alpha has its own unit.
I rushed fervently to where he was standing, his shoulder as broad almost as mine, he had his silk shirt folded to his arms, his brown hair tugged to the back with his fingers, resting with one hand in his pocket.
"I thought you were dead?" He said sarcastically which had me chuckling cheerfully.
"What do you expect from someone like me?" I scoffed as we pulled each other for a shoulder hug like we didn't see each other all day.
"Why did you ask to see me here? What's up?"
