Chapter 12 - New Levels

Sir Christopher stood up in excitement with the feeling of his mana flowing. He looked to his master in awe. Astonished that this fragile woman could help this boulder of a man open a new circle and teach him how to reach new circles. He knelt in front of her once more showing his loyalty and appreciation.

"Now spar with me Sir Christopher!" she ordered the man who was kneeling in front of her.

She knew the dangers that could happen with this order. However with new changes to the plot she had to be quick to open more of her circles as well. This unexpected visitor seemed like a storm was brewing and she needed to be prepared more than ever she had people she wanted to protect. Sir Christopher however seemed taken aback by her order. He did not know if he was allowed to spar with the crowned princess. He was sure it could get him in trouble with the King. Even though he was appointed to her majesty the crowned princess he still belonged to the King first until she was officially crowned. This made him concerned on what action to take. To him his master was the woman in front of him yet politically speaking that was incorrect.

"You worry you may get in trouble right Sir Christopher" Lilian said to him.

"Lady Lizbeth my concern is if you become injured the King may not take to lightly to my actions even if you did order them." he responded back quickly still looking like a helpless puppy concerned over which path to take.

"Remember what I said before you are my people and I shall take responsibility for all my people even to the king himself. If he threatens to cop your head off then he threatens to chop mine off as well." Lilian retorted to ease his concern.

He nodded to her and raised himself working his way over to the sparring yard. Where he had previously battled others and proven himself to Lilian. He took stance and prepared himself like he would to fight any other fellow knight. Lilian came over and stood in front of him prepping herself as well. She was in the stance with her sword out pointing straight at Christopher.

" On the count of three you may begin. One.. Two.... Three! " Roxanne screamed out into the courtyard to begin their spar.

With that the two started to exchange blows for blows. Sir Christopher appeared to be in shock with the first few blows he took from Lilian. He expected the blows to be weak or of a rookie. Yet each of her blows landed precise her movements were quick too. These weren't blows from a fragile sick woman. These felt like blows from an experienced knight. What they didn't know was that Lizbeth was actually Lilian and when Lilian was alive in her last life she took judo and kendo in fact she was the captain of her teams.

The noises echoed into the nearby halls of the palace where it drew the attention of passersby. They gathered to the courtyard all peering out to the battle that was playing out in front of them. Blows continued to echo, metal clashing against metal. Their breathing fastening and sweat dropping from their brows. However Lilian was carefully manifesting her mana to different body point forcing it to push through points it was stuck at. She was trying to open a new circle. She could feel she was almost there. Sir Christopher's relentless attacks were making her having to push even harder. Giving her body the force it needed. She felt a tug of pain in the ''chi points'' that seemed blocked she dropped her sword quickly in that moment. She swiftly switched to a long blade that she had hidden in a strapped pocket. and with other hand she jabbed the blocked ''chi point'' feeling the mana spread slowly. With little hesitation Sir Christopher went for a blow where Lilian blocked with her long blade and started jabbing forward repeatedly like she was fencing.

All while Rivar was headed to her direction after receiving her message of her wanting to share tea after her sparring match. He didn't inform King Leon of what she said he was sure she didn't mean a real match since she was but bed ridden not too long ago. However there was a huge uneasy feeling that told him to go now to her side, he hoped everything was fine.

More blows were exchanged aweing those viewing their spectacle. Other knights had created a circle around them. All looked just like Sir Christopher did surprised that their little Lady who was just a fragile mess not too long ago was battling out with an experienced knight. Roxanne and the other maids cheered for Lilian screaming out to her. Her long blade cut Christopher's cheek red falling down his face. As his blade got her upper arm. Both tattering each other yet seeming to have fun through this spar. The two had huge smiles on their face like a child entering a sweets shop.
