Chapter 6 - The Garden's Blossoming Encounter Part 2

Leon continued strolling towards Lilian passing the many rose bushes. He stopped at a bush and picked a white rose for Lilian. Finally he reached the steps of the Gazebo. The maids looked at him and immediately bowed. Lilian was in disbelief she could tell it was Leon by his jet black hair and green eyes.

Lilian stood and bowed to Leon "good evening your majesty bless the sun of our Kingdom and may you have eternal blessings." Lilian announced to Leon.

Leon looked at her the colors of the evening sky tinted her white hair with purples, reds and pinks. He was star strucked he looked into her beautiful eyes that held his reflection. So badly he wanted to ask her questions of what happened to her during all the time she was kidnapped. Desperately wanting the names and details to bring the heads of all those that harmed her rolling at her feet. He smiled at her and showed her the freshly picked rose. The maids giggled fan girling over the small efforts he was showing their lady.

"I've brought this for you my lady. I saw it and it made me think of you." he smiled trying to hand it to her.

Lilian felt a bit giddy inside seeing her heroic main in person. But she couldn't expose herself, she wasn't the true Lizbeth. She wasn't good at acting shy and cute, however she was good at acting stubborn an uptight. She had to stick to that to not expose her true identity.

She nodded "Thank you your magesty, I humbly accept your token." Lilian said with a straight face.

Leon seemed confused she showed no emotion. He began to contemplate if it was due to the trauma, did she not remember him.

"May I sit with you?" Leon asked her.

"Yes your magesty it be my honor to hold an audience with you." Lilian responded.

Leon sat at the near by chair and smiled at her "what are you drinking my lady?" he mentioned.

"Earl Grey with a bit of mint, it is my favorite. It's very delectable would you like some your magesty?" Lilian responded back.

He nodded yes happy that Lilian offered some to him. Roxanne strid over and poured him some tea in an elegant cup. The teas aroma hit him quickly it was subtle, but as he motioned the cup closer to his lips he noticed Lilian watching him and the mint in the tea hit him. He looked up at Lilian as the mint lingered in his nose. The two seemed to have similarities the mint can be strong yet calming and yet everyone wants it for everything.

Lilian realized she let her guard down she was straing at Leon. Just the mere fact that her favorite fictional character was actually there next to her. That's everyone's dream come true to meet their favorite fictional crush. She tried to act normal and sipped on her tea. Avoiding his deep emerald eyes that made her want to beckon to his calls.

"Is it to your liking your magesty?" she asked sincerely, she thought the tea may not be suitable to him.

"The hint of the mimt with the Earl Greay is most relaxing. I've been extremely busy unfortunately." Leon answered.

She was glad he did like it so glad she accidentally smiled. Quickly she tried to straighten herself hoping he didn't see her smile. However Leon did and it made him smile back. He was happy she could still make those expressions.

"Uhhummm.." he cleared his throat "I also owe you an apology. My knight gave me your message and I am sorry that I've been overwhelmingly busy. It is not an excuse but I will make more of an attempt to meet you and say things personally to you instead of a messenger." he said with a kind tone.

Lilian blushed she forgot about what she said to Rivar. She didn't believe Rivar would seriously regard her message to Leon. She said it in the moment due to her annoyance with everything that was happening and her lack of energy. He cared how she felt and took her words to heart. But was it her words he cared for or Lizbeth he cared for.

"You didn't need to take my words so seriously your magesty. I am of no importance to otder someone somone so important as you. I am merely a subject." she answered back, her maids looked at her with concern for their beautiful lady. They were thinking that her heart was broken due to his lack of efforts to be with her.

Leon's heart beated fast but a pain came with it. Was she mad he questioned himself. Why would someone who came from a noble house almost as pwerful as the Royals say that. Her calm expression didn't falter when she responded to him. He was extremely confused he didn't know what to say back.

"Please dont overthink what I say." she said realizing his expression turned to confusion.

Lilian realized her words may have been too rude. But she wasn't Lizbeth and this wasn't her happy ending. She was merely borrowing a body. She was going to most likely return to her world anyways. Lizbeth would return and take back her place by his side. She was merely a fan able to meet her idol that was it.

Leon looked at her more puzzled, it was like the woman across from him was a mind reader. He couldn't help but smile at her. He hoped it would ease the awkwardness that swirling around the two of them. At the same time it felt like she was hiding something from him. He leaned over to her hand that was lying on the table and placed his hand on top of it.

"What ever you may think of me please know I just want your best interest my lady. I want to get to know you slowly. I want to know what you like. I want know everything you desire." he said as he leaned over and kissed the back of her hand.

Lilian this time couldn't hold back and blushed. Leon could see her brightly rose like flustered face. She was beautiful with this look on her. Would she be even more beautiful under him with expression on he wondered. He tried to escape from those thoughts and hoped his words wouldn't be taken lightly.

Lilian quickly reacted and took her hand back holding it close to her chest "your magesty these acts are unnecessary and not required." she yelled at Leon flustered.

She stood up and rushed out of the gazebo. Her hair become undone some flying her face. Her maids followed after her quickly they darted down the paths and petals flew down around. Leon watched as she ran from his side. He wanted to run after and grab her hand to see that look again. To ask her what was the meaning of it.
