The reason that the phone shop was fine with selling their phones on a payment plan to the newbies that entered the labyrinth was first the phones were nearly indestructible only people beyond a certain point in the labyrinth could possibly break one of their phones. The second reason was all their phones had trackers if the purchased died before paying for it completely they could retrieve it from where it was lost or whoever may have stolen it. Even if it was in a trial.
They we're in factions that recruited the best of the best and could train new recruits specifically to retrieve the device from said trial. And if someone tried not to pay, well they would make them pay to say the least.
Van and his group took their new devices and headed towards their living quarters which was only a little ways past the cell phone shop according to the map they were given by the person that helped them register.
The cell phone shop employee had programmed all of their communication links to each others devices so they could communicate with one another. He also showed them how to access each devices interface which was actually linked to the consciousness of the user.
The group soon arrived at the designated location of their living quarters, and were in shock to say the least. Aside from Elise everyone else in the group had been used to the orphanage dormitories. They had passed by the fancy, the high tech, and the abstract mansions when they would leave the orphanage grounds on their way to school.
However, they never imagined that one day they would be given one at no cost just for them to stay at.
It was a giant white mansion with marble pillars next to the huge front glass double doors. There was a gate at the front that required the use of one of their labyrinth ID's to gain access to get inside.
Once inside the gate the group quickly walked towards the double doors to see the inside. Once incide their shock continues to grow looking at the marble tile floors and the beautiful arrangement.
There was a large welcoming area past the double door with only a small round table and beautifully decorative flowers and a large chandelier hanging from the ceiling. The floor was a marble tile floor with beautifully connected swirl patterns making the floor look like an eccentric view of galaxies. Beyond the table there were two curling stairways that led to the next level of the building. There was also a large hallway connecting to what looked like and outside training grounds.
Standing in front of the table were a male and female dressed in suits that greeted the group, "Welcome to the living quarters we would like to congratulate you on choosing to participate in the trials of the labyrinth, we are the care takers of this home and we will show you the grounds, additionally your first months rations has already been stocked here for you." The male in the suit spoke.
"Uh… thank you how did you guys end up working here?" Van asked out of curiosity.
Hearing this question both the male and female looked down in slight shame. "We chose not to participate in the first trial, luckily because of our abilities we were chosen for the take of being home care takers." The female said not as ashamed of not participating as her male companion.
"Should we start your tour im sure you are eager to begin resting and relaxing." The female added after telling the group how they had gotten the job as house keepers.
"Yea let's go I'm pretty tired." Van said in response following as the house keepers turned to begin the tour.
Upstairs was the rooms for each team member there were a total of 20 rooms upstairs with the master suite reserved for the faction leader only his ID card could grant access to it.
Beyond the large hallway there was a glass door that led outside to a field with a clear blue lake in the middle. On the other side of the lake was a smaller house, this was where the arcade room along with the training grounds was located.
Once they all decided on their rooms they met up in the kitchen for a meal and to continue bonding and getting to know one another before retiring to bed to get some rest.
