Chapter 7 - First Kill

While Kasel and Avery walked calmly to the exit of the village, they were followed by two camps that had different objectives. One wanted to become the most famous streamer in the world and the other group not only wanted the dispossessed of their property but even worse, they wanted to capture the NPC to discover the hidden pieces that led to other hidden classes.

Was it stupidity? Or boldness? But they didn't care about their methods, after all, this game was the strangest they had ever seen; as a result, the Tigers were sure that the usual methods would not work to have special quests.

'Hm? Are we being followed?' Kasel wondered, looking at Avery walking with him side by side.

'She doesn't seem to have noticed that we are being monitored. Sigh, I guess it's because of last night's events. But well, as long as they only follow us, they won't have a problem. But if not, I wouldn't say no to a little action. After all, I have to test my fighting skills with players of my grad. I was tired of letting myself be mistreated by Harold, to whom I could not inflict any damage. Let's hope that my countless duels with him will serve me something.'

A malicious smile stood on his lips as his scarlet eyes shone with malice.

"What makes you so happy?" Avery asked him when he saw the fine smile on his lips.

As the mask was like a ball mask, the tip of his nose and lips were visible under the mask.

"Don't pay attention to me." He replied briefly.

She grimaced when she saw Kasel behaving like this; But ended up abandoning her curiosity.

The journey to the gates of the village went smoothly.

After a lightning walk with Kasel, they arrived in front of the two main gates of the city while the early morning dawn dazzled their views.

'This world is divided into five large territories, the kingdom of humans that is in the center, in the south, is the mysterious forest that is occupied by the elves, fairies, animals that can be contracted in the hunting area, and the endless lost river.

'In the East, this is the dark continent whose dangers are disproportionate! And it is on this same continent that the Tower of the Gods is located in a neutral zone. But to reach the tower, a low-level player would instantly die under the incessant attacks of hordes of beasts and evil creatures that are hostile to humans. Therefore, even if the Tower of the Gods is a good opportunity for me to show my level, I am not as suicidal as to bet on my life to venture into such a dangerous place. I'm just going to wait for the tower to appear on earth.

As for the West, even I don't have any information about this continent. My book mentions only wacky details; Like the residence of the noble races, and that it was imperative to reach at least [level 200] to dream of setting foot on this continent. In other words, it is a locked area for players who have not reached level 200!

And finally, the north! Also called the territory of dragons! This area is considered the most dangerous of all. Even if I doubt it very much since the western continent is more mysterious than the others. In short, it's not like I'm going to go to these continents. Nothing is in a hurry, at least, for the moment.

Because in the end, these dangerous territories will soon appear on my planet. Their positions and their patterns of appearance are all more mysterious than each other. Everything I know, what the central continent that is occupied by the weakest creatures in [Progress world], namely, the continent of humans... will soon be invaded by powerful beasts. So I have to show level as quickly as possible by hunting the low-level monsters that are on this continent.

As he organized his thoughts for his future maneuvers, he saw two familiar silhouettes in front of the guard post.

One wore a helmet and a complete set with an imposing aura, and a scar on his eye; he was Harold, the former royal knight. But the other person was an old man with a belly who seemed to be compressed in his shirt like a disguised pig.

The old man had navy blue eyes and a coarse beard on his chin. The worst, which he measured only about 150cm! But despite his strange appearance, he was the respected leader of the village of Rahem; Alfred Rahem. The former crown prince had been the victim of a coup after his father's death.

Kasel who had an NPC skill that could unseal the identities of the NPCs knew that under the grotesque appearance of this NPC, there was a beautiful man with a feminine appearance. It was just a magical disguise he had made to hide in this remote village.

"My greetings, for the respected village chief." He was greeted by bowing with dignity in front of him with a smile.

"Hoho~, I heard that my nephew was going to leave us to continue his adventure?" He asked, caressing his grumpy beard.

Nodd

"Indeed, as an accomplished merchant, I must follow the paths of my late father and fulfill his last will. All this would never be possible without the assistance of Master Harold and the benevolence of my esteemed grandfather." He says while his smile faded on his lips while feeling strange to call a man who was not even his father's age, as being his grandfather.

"Hoho~ I understand. Youth makes you dream. In short, I'm here to give you a starting gift." He said, giving him a scarlet ring on which a strange rune was engraved.

"What is it?" Even if he asked, it was only out of pure politeness.

Trader ring (common). |

Allows its owner to enslave players and NPCs who have transgressed the laws in accordance with the village; no matter where. |

But the possessor must defeat the targets to be able to make them, his slave and sell them; if he wishes. |

"Hoho~ it's a gift that will be useful to you as a trader. - Alfred mysteriously pronounced these words without giving any other explanations.

"Thank you for your consideration." A satisfying smile split on his lips when he saw the information on the ring.

'I wouldn't have thought I was going to have such an item in this village. I almost want to abandon the idea of leaving such a treasure room for the players.' He says to himself by putting the ring on his left index finger.

"Sigh, even if you intend to follow the path traced by your father, you must at least be able to defend yourself if you want to preserve your life. Take this sword as a reward for being my disciple." Harold's monotonous voice resounded next to Alfred, stretching a scarlet red sword towards Kasel.

Mayori's sword (sealed)|

common grade. Feed the sword with the blood of the demon emperor to unseal its powers. |

'Sigh, the demon emperor? Even a level 100 player with a mythical class will be unable to defeat one of the demonic emperors. But that's not what's going to demotivate me. Harold is really a unique NPC in this world. How could he have such a sword with him?!' Even if he said his words in his thoughts, he had a dignified expression on his face.

He took the sword that was accompanied by a sheath and a belt and tied it to his waist with a satisfying smile.

"Um, you now look more like a knight than a trader. I hope that our paths will intersect in the future." He said, tapping Kasel's left shoulder with a smile that went from one ear to the other.

"Haha, how can I forget an old geezer like you? Don't doubt it, the next time you see yourself, you will be the one who will pay me wine in Mama Tigres's tavern after inflicting you a defeat."

"Abandon, little kid. You can't even force me to use 10% of my skills. If you want to reach the level of this old man, you will need ten centuries of training!" Just with these last words from Harold, Kasel said goodbye to the two esteemed people.

...

After an hour of walking, the two players arrived in the beginner's forest to the north of the village. The forest was a (banal) forest with common trees and a typical appearance.

[Adult boar: x3]

[Level: 4]

[HP: 40/40]

Kasel and Avery saw three wild boars strolling on the edge of the forest while eating the herbs.

"Miss Avery, what are your current level and class?" He murmured to Avery while the two were hidden behind a rock.

"I am a beginner mage of level 11." She revealed her level without hesitation.

In general, players can see the level of other players and their HP, if they do not hide them. So if Kasel asked him for his level, it is because he is necessarily an NPC; otherwise he would be able to see his level.

She was both right and wrong at the same time. Kasel's passive skill did not allow him to see the players' Stats like other NPCs. This was also the disadvantage of his competence. But he was not ready to cancel the effects of his skill just to check Avery's Stats.

"Hmm, which means that these animals are not a problem for you, are they? In this case, let me face them to see how much progress I have progressed in my training with my master." He proposed.

Nodd.

She nodded, in accordance with Kasel's proposal. She was curious to see the fighting skills of this NPC whose level was only [level 4].

-Shiirk.

Kasel took his sword out of his sheath and sprinted towards the three adult wild boars. His strategy was simple, dark head down and cut them.

the novice swordsman skill is automatically activated. |

As soon as Kasel appeared ten meters from the three wild boars, they spotted the invader.

-Oinkk!

The first wild boar who was close to him pointed out his two defenses, running at high speed towards Kasel.

As soon as it was about to impact Kasel, this latter jumped in the air in advance and ruthlessly stabbed the wild boar's neck with the tip of his scarlet sword.

The wild boar screamed in his agony before turning into black smoke and disappearing in front of him...

But he didn't have time to breathe rest. The other two wild boars arrived at the same time with their oinks of anger when they saw Kasel kill one of their own.

One was coming to his left and the other wild boar was on the right to try to catch him. But instead of retreating, Kasel sprinted towards the wild boar on his right and placed his sword horizontally to counter the wild boar's attacks.

-Bam!

His hands held firmly to his sword without brooding while he was testing his physical strength. And not surprisingly, he was able to stop the wild boar's momentum but, the impact force pushed him back two steps back.

But, the wild boar was in a state of stunning and staggered as if it were going to collapse a second later.

Kasel took advantage of this opportunity by leaning his body to the right to avoid the defenses of the third wild boar who had attacked him from behind. Instead of taking care of the wild boar who had just attacked him, he seized his chance and slightly bent his knees to gain momentum and pulled towards the wild boar that was ticking and planted the blade of his sword in the wild boar's skull!

You inflicted critical damage on the target.|

-Oiiink!!

[+20XP]

The second wild boar collapsed on the ground followed by the same effect of disappearing into smoke leaving the same wild boar thigh behind him and a defense.

Now that he was left alone, instead of continuing his assault on the enemy as in the games, the wild boar turned to the forest and fled!

"What?! Do you think I'm going to let you run away?!" Although he was surprised to see a low-level monster with such intelligence, he had a cruel smile on his lips.

He pulled towards the wild boar while running after him. It took him about thirty seconds to reach the wild boar! As he had [AGI: 20], he was able to catch up with the wild boar with a little more effort. He pierces the wild boar by the buttocks without feeling guilty for his vicious attack.

-Oiiink!!

[HP: 30/40]

No longer seeing the possibility of flight, the wild boar turned to him with his eyes injected with blood.

But before he could make any other movement, Kasel's scarlet sword split the air towards his neck and decapitated him to perfection!

He exhaled a breath of fresh air after completing his first part of [Hunting] with satisfactory air.

'Sigh, even if it was a little easier than expected, the pressure I feel knowing that I was betting on my own life is more suffocating than I thought.' He said to himself by looking at the [drops] dropped by the three wild boars.

[wild boars' thighs (common): x3]

[wild boars' defense (common): x3]

[XP: 70/300]

'Sigh, it will be more complicated to [leveling] than expected, I imagine. - he murmured for himself by touching the objects to put them in [inventory].

"Shall we continue?" He asked Avery who was standing behind the rock in a state of study.

Unlike most games, the monsters of [Progress online] were different. They were stronger than the players of the same level as them.

Even if Avery knew that Kasel was an NPC, seeing him fight wild boars who were at the same level as him with as much ease was a dazzling spectacle she never witnessed.

"Y-Yes, let's go... - she tightened her magic stick. And followed Kasel who had frowns under his mask.

The reason for his irritation was because of the small mechanical sphere floating from afar that he had seen. But in the end, he as if nothing had happened and continued to make his way through the forest.

From afar, GodBlessStream was lying on the floor like a soldier in formation with eyes wide open.

"My...dear spectators, have you seen the one-way fight that had just happened?! It wasn't even a battle, it was a massacre! Who is this NPC who fights in place of a player?!" He scraped his throat and stammered these words.

[[AmOff: If you follow them closely in the forest, $50.]]

His eyes widen when he saw the message of his first donor. "Ahem, the... the forest is full of ferocious monsters. I would be massacred if I continued. I'm only at level seven! Be understanding, the pain is real in this game!"

[[DarknessLight: Stop finding excuses, you're just a coward. You said that this NPC is of level 4.]]

[[FalconGlance: what is this cheated NPC?!]]

[[LiliadPlayade: fufu~ strong and daring men are always my favorites. But you...]]

[[AmOff: $60! If you follow them!]]

"It's...

[[AmOff: $80, last offer. Otherwise, I would unsubscribe immediately.]]

"!!! Ahahaha, I guess I also have to do a [Leveling]. It's okay, I'm a streamer after all. The job comes with its risks!" Gray spoke these words through his clenched teeth and sprinted cautiously towards the forest.
