Chapter 10 - The meeting.

I can't believe that you can dare to call me a scammer when it was you who extracted me more than 150〒 just for a banal antidote?"

"It wasn't an ordinary antidote, your palm is healed, isn't it?"

"Even if that's the case, it was water, it was just a f*cking ordinary water that was the antidote!"

"Sigh, it's the result that counts. You drank water and the poison was neutralized. If I hadn't told you to drink water, you would be at the mercy of the monsters right now; as a result, you not only escaped death but I was able to win a little sum. Everyone is happy now." Kasel replied nonchalantly by continuing his journey to the IBLIS dungeon.

As for the other person who constantly complained next to him, his identity was obvious.

GodBlessStream frowns by no longer knowing how to respond.

-Kasel suddenly stopped in his footsteps and gave him another cold glance. -The value of a commodity is determined by the usefulness it brings to the one who needs it, not by its nature. So stop bothering me with your unnecessary complaints, it wasn't as if I had forced you to buy the information."

He replied by taking his sword out of its sheath,

Then,

He suddenly sprinted ahead at inhuman speed.

-What's wrong with him again?! - Avery wondered following him.

Gray was no exception either.

But just as they arrived to catch him, they saw three corpses of wolves disappear in the form of black smoke.

'Hmm, that's still not enough. I have to reach level 10 before reaching the IBBIS dungeon.' Kasel muttered to himself by touching the [drops] left by the low-level monsters to put them in his inventory.

But given that we have about a day and twelve hours of travel, I should be able to gain the other five levels I will need to accomplish the task.

He continued.

"Do we continue?" He asked Avery without turning around to look at her.

-Um. She nodded her head while following him in silence.

Meanwhile, in an unknown place, ten silhouettes were around a round table.

Even if their silhouettes were translucid, anyone could guess that they were not humans even if they had humanoid silhouettes.

The reason was that their sizes were at least five times larger than that of an adult man.

But in the middle of the round table, a hologram displayed a humanoid silhouette that had a long horn on its forehead and a long tail that occasionally waved.

All eyes were on this humanoid silhouette that was in the form of a light blue hologram.

"How is project N•34 progressing?" A monotonous and imposing voice resounded throughout the room from the hologram.

One of the ten silhouettes responded after everyone's greeting. - Great Lord, these inferior creatures are more and more interesting, and do not take our invasion seriously."

-Silence~~

A minute later, the dark voice that belonged to the so-called Lord resounded once again in the huge room that was more than fifty meters high and about a hundred meters wide.

"Hmm, that's a good thing. Continue the preparations for the next step. Is there a problem at this level?"

One of them instantly answered Great Lord's question. - No, the whole project is progressing smoothly; Great Lord.

"Very good. I'm waiting for good news from your parts." Just after announcing these words, the hologram switched off.

After two more minutes of silence, one of the silhouettes spoke in a female voice. -Gery, why didn't you reveal the information about IRREGULIER?

"It doesn't matter too," Gery spoke in a monotonous tone.

"What do you mean? I would like to point out that this is an event that had never been produced in any sections since the very beginning!"

"Lady Nelphy is right, it is a delicate situation that must be reported to the Great Lord." Another female voice resounded in the room to support Nelphy's remarks.

"Sigh, I understand your concerns. But if an irregular has appeared, it was only by pure chance." Gery sighed as he spoke these words.

"I think Gery is right. Just observe his actions and you will understand that he is not a threat." This time, it was a male voice that seemed to be carefree.

"What do you mean, Erard?" Nelphy asked in a confused tone.

"It's simple, it's not surprising that someone was able to find the flaw in our strategy. We chose this strategy because it was the most recommended according to our observations. So it's quite normal that he has interesting players who slightly surpass our estimates. Isn't that one of the reasons why we do this? We need entertainment, surprises, anger attacks, and all kinds of complex emotions to occupy our long, boring, and endless lives."

-Silence~~~

"Sigh, I must admit, it's not wrong. But still, how can you call it slightly exceeding our expectations? According to the data collected in the registers of subject N•1, the class he has chosen may be problematic for us in the future. So how can you be so relaxed?" Nelphy asked Erard this question.

But instead of Erard, it was Gery who answered his question. - What are you afraid of, lady Nelphy? These are just simple inferior creatures that are not even on average. Without talking about threatening our lives, he will not even be able to go beyond our favorite specimens; so relax and enjoy the show, lady Nelphy."

"Lower creatures... huh?" Nelphy murmured for herself.

"Fufu~ big sister, it's funny to see you have so much interest in a specimen. In my memory, this is even the first time this has happened. Are you, by the greatest chance, attracted by this human?" Another playful voice sounds in the room like a bell.

"Sigh, don't say nonsense, little girl. It's just that his actions are both strange and unpredictable. It's as if... as if he knew what he was doing. For some reason, I have the impression that he has in him, the power of the Great Lord!"

"Kuku... it's indeed the first time to see you like that; The powers of the Great Lord? It will be even more interesting than expected if it ever does. As all of us know, the collections of powers are done through the apostles that we will choose in the future. But Lady Nelphy, you know very well that the Great Lord is no longer interested in these apostle stories since he won his title of Great Lord, not to mention the fact that we have a lot of things to do before we get to this stage. So as a result, I'm sorry in advance if I offend you with my words but, I think you were wrong in your calculations." Another male voice sounded in the room, accompanied by his unpleasant laughter.

"You don't need to apologize for that. I am no longer in the position I was in, after ceding my position to the current Great Lord. In short, that's all for now; you can resume your usual activities." Nelphy ordered then, her silhouette disappeared in the room.

After her departure, other silhouettes did the same thing. Until there are only four silhouettes left in the large room.

"Do you know why lady Nelphy, who had never been interested in this experience, suddenly became the first sponsor? She even gave her title to this old man to get rid of the obstacles related to the conditions to get an apostle!" Gery was among the four silhouettes that remained in the room.

Hence the manifestation of his voice in the room.

"Watch your words, please; you must respect the new Great Lord, Gray." - Erard warned him.

"It was not intentional, it's just that I am more and more confused about the sudden interest that Lady Nelphy has on this planet; which is inhabited only by inferior creatures." Gray apologized while giving the reason for his rudeness that seemed justifiable to others who had just heard him.

Erard nodded his head with a heavy sigh.

-Sigh, I understand what you mean. We are as confused as you are. In general, Lady Nelphy has always a disinterested aura around her. But recently, she seems to have fun thanks to this new experience. This is good news. But what I fear the most is the apostle who will inherit her powers. For some reason... I can't get rid of a hypothesis that has tormented me for a few days."

"Kuku, Erard, you're talking about the irregular, don't you? Do you think Lady Nelphy will take him as an apostle?" The third silhouette who was with Erard and Gery was Ferco; the same silhouette who had refused to believe Nelphy's words.

"Yes, if it ever happens, then things may become more interesting, not to say... problematic." Erard gave this answer to Ferco.

"Kuku, unlike us, Lady Nelphy does not need to take an apostle. She is the perfection we all seek; even the Great Lord is no exception when we talk about her. But why would she take an apostle? We do not belong to the same groups of species, we have all our people to help them rise to the top. But what about Lady Nelphy? She does not need the powers of others, her supreme authority had already reached supremacy since our first meeting with her. Without her and her authority, we will maybe still be fighting right now. So in my opinion, no matter if she chooses an apostle or not, the balance will never be broken. Kukuku, after all, she can break it at any time if she wishes."

-Ferco made this little speech.

"Despite your viscosity, your cold blood is still as impressive, Ferco." The fourth silhouette that had stayed with them made her familiar voice heard.

"Kuku, Ariel, you who have a sworn sister relationship with Lady Nelphy, do you know things we don't know?"

"Sigh, big sister and I have not been seen for centuries. Concerning your curiosity, put a leash around its neck. At least, this will allow you to live longer than the other idiot who had tried to dig into my big sister's business. You know like me what happens when one of us discovers the secrets of the other, after all, we are neither bound by friendship nor by a desire for peace. The only thing that binds us... you know it very well." Ariel commented in a tone nonchalantly, imbued with hatred.

"Kuku, it's nice to hear your advice. It reminds me of beautiful memories in time of war." Just after, Ferco's silhouette disappeared in the room, followed by the others leaving only Ariel's silhouette in the room.

"Sigh, I feel that this experience will not go well like its predecessors. Lady Nelphy, what do you have behind your head? - She asked herself this question that remained unanswered.

And soon, her silhouette also disappeared from the room leaving an empty room behind her.

---

On the Kasel side, he had just reached zone two of the forest after twelve hours of travel with his small group.

-okay, let's rest for a while before going back on the road. From now on, the monsters we will meet in this forest will not be like the small fry that we had faced so far." He says by taking a sip in his gourd.

"What do you mean? The monsters we faced in the last ten hours non-stop were at least level 10." Gray asked with his body in sweat while lying on the wild grass.

His hands were numb from the force of handling his small knife to attack the animals, and he had tingling in his feet because of the long journeys they made for several hours.

Avery was in a better condition than him, since she reached level 12 with well-organized Stats.

"Yes, they will be at least level fifteen. If I'm not mistaken, there are even tigers and panthers in this forest; so we must be vigilant." Kasel spoke in a nonchalant tone while lying on a tree.

"Panthers?! Are they as fast and fierce as in the real world?" Gray asked with wide eyes.

But Kasel doesn't tell him anything.

"M. Fallen, who is this man?" Avery finally asked.
