Chapter 11 - Dinner with ex

We stopped at a very fancy looking restaurant at- oh so where is this? Abel was also not sure that Abel had been to this place before. Of course, Abel had never been to this place before because of this restaurant, a luxurious and classy restaurant so what was he here for.

"I'm not in the wrong place, am I?" Kevin whispered right in Abel's ear. Abel turned to Kevin who was smiling. Then Abel looked back ahead at the interior design and all the small details of the restaurant. "Vin," Abel called carefully. That woman grabbed Kevin's arm making the man stop walking.

"The place isn't wrong, but it looks like I'm wearing the wrong clothes."

Abel bit his lower lip. His face grimaced horribly, staring at his reflection in the large mirror. Abel seemed to be sinking to the bottom of the trough when he saw the restaurant patrons wearing beautiful dresses. While his appearance is like a parking attendant in a mini market. Black skinny jeans, hoodie, and converse shoes. Oh really, which woman is still wearing Converse at the age of 29.

"It's fine. I didn't tell you where we were going on a date."

"But--"

Abel pulled Kevin's shirt sleeve which was rolled up to his elbow. Showing off the muscles in her sexy arms.

"It's okay, honey, you don't look weird."

What can we do about it. She is already here. It's impossible to turn back. Moreover, his stomach is already rumbling asking to be filled. Abel took a deep breath as Kevin's cold hand gripped his. His gaze reflexively looked at Kevin's hand which he was holding. Somehow on this cold night, Abel felt warm.

Abel's feet had already stepped on the shiny marble floor. however, Abel still couldn't believe that Abel was actually in a fancy restaurant. Abel took a deep breath trying to act as if Abel often went to a place like this. Trying to get rid of his admiration for this place. Imaging in public is really needed.

Kevin took Abel's hand, walked towards the table which was right near a group of big classy families. If you look at them, they are like official families with various eating rules that they have. Silence with no one speaking. In fact, if Abel dined at home with his Mama and Papa it wouldn't be that quiet. Kevin pulled a chair gallantly for Abel.

Abel smiled sweetly then sat on the chair. Wow, Abel really has become a successful career woman. Kevin sat in front of Abel then took something in front of him that was shaped in such a way. Then suddenly it became a rectangular cloth and put it on his thighs. Oh, Abel should have searched for information that there are napkins that can be shaped beautifully like that. Abel watched Kevin carefully, controlling himself, picking up a pretty napkin just like Kevin did.

"I have ordered a special meal for you." Kevin's words made Abel look up when he was amazed by this beautiful napkin. Abel was really acting really tacky.

"Yes?"

"They prepared a special meal for you." Kevin repeated.

"What?"

Abel couldn't tell the difference between enthusiasm and weirdness. Kevin just smiled mysteriously at Abel. Then he raised his hand to the person behind Abel. Abel turned around and found several maids wearing neat uniforms with trays in their hands. The waiters bowed friendly then deftly put all the food on their table.

"Here, please drink it." Kevin said as he handed him a glass glass filled with a strange liquid. Abel frowned in confusion. "Wine." Kevin continued as if reading Abel's mind.

Abel doesn't understand. Kevin has changed a lot. He has become a real man, handsome and well established. Plus the man had dared to invite Abel to drink alcohol.

"I.. I can't go home drunk, Vin."

Kevin chuckled. "Just a little bit. Won't get you drunk, Bel."

Abel smiled faintly. Out of the corner of his eye, he looked at the group of officials' families. His eyes caught the colorful drink one of the children at the table was drinking. But Abel didn't know what it was called. Instead of asking Kevin about colorful drinks, Abel nodded in agreement to minimize wine.

"Cheers," they said together.

Then several waiters came with dishes in their hands. Smoked beef is served on the dinner table and looks so very good. It's been a long time since a few years ago, Abel didn't eat smoked beef.

"That's the most delicious smoked beef cooked especially for you. That's your favorite dish, right?"

Abel dumbfoundedly looked at Kevin. Favorite food? Abel did like smoked beef, but over time his favorite food changed. The his favorite food is ceker merecon. Ah, Abel's claws make it tempting, when he imagines it.

"Thank you." But Abel didn't want to be honest with Kevin. Just feel bad.

Then her eyes fell on Kevin's mouth-watering mayonnaise scallops. I think the scallops with Kevin's mayonnaise are tastier.

"You want to try my food?" Kevin asked following Abel's gaze.

"No," said Abel quickly. "No, thank you." Abel said lying. Though Abel really wanted to try the clams. Then Abel fed him a piece of smoked beef specially made for him. Then Kevin cupped his pants pocket.

"My cell phone," said Kevin. "Can I pick it up? Maybe it's important."

"Oh, yes. Yes."

This is truly a dream long ago and too late to come true. But Abel can't deny that tonight Abel is very happy. Not because Kevin took her to dinner at a fancy restaurant. But because Kevin has returned even though the man turned out to be a mysterious person. At least this is how Abel feels now. Kevin came over, then sat down without saying a word. His face looked gloomy and tense.

"Erm, it feels like a dream, Vin. I had dinner in a fancy restaurant with a romantic atmosphere. Drink wine with you, eat my favorite food that I haven't eaten in a long time. You know? I can't even believe that you've recovered and remember everyone. Actually, which hospital were you in?"

"What?" Kevin looked up, not hearing Abel's words at all. Abel sighed, even if it was repeated, it wouldn't be romantic anymore.

"No, it's fine."

Then the atmosphere turned cold and awkward. Kevin was suddenly silent. Only feed one by one food. Abel didn't like this kind of atmosphere. Soon the sound of his cell phone rang again, then Kevin looked up and asked Abek's permission to pick up his cellphone. Abel nodded weakly in approval.

What else can she say
